wow I'm impressed that Russ actually took the time to file a suit against the 'Farms, even if it appears to be little more than a lolsuit.
So where's your family to defend you, then, Russell?
Law isn't my area of expertise, but wouldn't a more valid complaint include an exhibit showing the alleged harassment of his family/friends whenever possible? Otherwise, the response could simply state, "Defendant denies the claims of paragraph 132."
So basically thirty pages of "REEEEEEEE!" ?
I couldn't make it through all 30 pages of word salad in detail, but I have a feeling this is an accurate TL;DR of the entire document.
Greer's DMCA claim may actually have some merit to it. The biggest problem is personal jurisdiction over Null, I doubt that merely running a website is sufficient to establish personal jurisdiction in a given state.
Hasn't it been said by both Dear Leader at the time and others in this thread as I caught up that the DMCA for the contents of the Google folder should go to Google? Although it's only happened twice that I know, Dear Leader has removed content when he actually receives a valid DMCA request involving content on the site. So, if there is content here for which Russ has copyright, a properly formatted DMCA will easily take care of that.
Jurisdiction with regards to websites can be murky from a legal standpoint. I want to say
@AnOminous may have already discussed that previously in this thread when it came up once before. Nevertheless, it's best to have an attorney look into jurisdictional issues instead of trying to figure them out alone.
I was gonna post this on day 22 of this years kiwi inktober, but it simply cannot wait another month.
NGL, I can easily see Russ looking like this as he rage-typed for 30 straight pages.
It's like he couldn't decide whether to file suit for defamation or copyright infringement, so he went with the latter while including all of the complaints of the former.
Even if Russ doesn't have any mental issues, the legal documents that he's prepared and that have been posted here look as if he easily mixes up or confuses both legal terminology and different parts of his complaints. The end result is an illogical mishmash of word salad that can be both frustrating to decipher and lulzy.
My only question about this suit it whether it states any actionable claims. Nearly every other suit Russ filed was dismissed for the lack of actionable claims. However, this may be a moot point; I suspect Russ won't successfully serve Dear Leader with the suit and I doubt he'll get his wish to serve via e-mail without expending efforts to serve through traditional means.
He'd probably try to serve the toaster in his confusion.
And then he'd try to butter up the toaster for a hot date.
