That would jibe with her less-than-half-hearted "I'm on a diet" farce last Monday. Her behavior this week, which has been wanton gluttony for gluttony's sake, replete with open-mouthed burps and copious wet farts, is not unlike the behavior she displayed in the week leading up to her hysterectomy dates. So, it is not out of the question. However, she usually can't help herself but to blab about it. It might really just be that she's exhausted from her "work" and just wants to laze around and pig out the rest of the week. She's done that before, too. So who knows; she does keep us in suspense...

I know we say this so many times that it has lost all meaning, but she is looking rough these days. Bloated, blotchy, haggard, semi-collapsed in her chair, with chest pains gas bubbles and labored breathing becoming frequent occurrences. We've really not seen her walk at all since she got the walker, many months ago. Even just a year ago, she looked a lot better and we thought she looked awful then. The deterioration is noticeable. So no matter when she goes to see a doctor, there is no way the doctor will have any "good" news for her at all. Nothing. What could possibly be good? Then, she will have to agonize about how much she wants to admit and how much she wants to murk things up.

At any rate, she sure hyped up her grand Vlogtober opening day extravaganza, so I am looking forward to one of her masterpieces. Whatever the reason for the wait, we ought to have plenty to talk about as the big day draws near...

I don't know what her parking situation was at her former apartment but clearly where she's living now, she's parking outside. Ottawa area snowfalls & storms can be... interesting; lots of heavy snow & the following day is generally sunny & bitterly cold. I can't see Chantal safely getting down the steps in front of her place, struggling across to her car, clearing the car of snow, as well as the area around the car; certainly not at her current weight. Unless she can inveigle Peetz into doing that, she may well find herself housebound for days or weeks on end, depending on how bad the winter is.

One of the things I love about Chantal (for a given value of the word "love") is that her narcissism is so deep and her intellectual curiosity is so stunted that she's not even remotely political. A lot of narcissists on the internet use their politics, whatever they may be, to further their own personal attention-getting agenda (Jude). Or latch on to whatever politics they think will get them attention (A billion other lady deathfats). Or just overshare their dumb opinions all the time and act like they're the authority on the matter (Jack Scalfani.) ALR is fairly apolitical, but she's shared enough to make me think she at least has an opinion sometimes, even if that opinion is just what she thinks the default lesbian opinion would be.

But Chantal's world view is so small, her life is so meaningless and unimportant, that she couldn't formulate a junior high-level political opinion even if she wanted to. She doesn't know why some people are angry with the police, and why other people defend them. She doesn't know why some people like or dislike Jeff Bezos. And she doesn't care enough to find out, any further than asking Peetz, and then zoning out when he's two words into his answer. She thought "libtard" was a real ideology.

I would hazard a guess that Chantal is liberal-ish, in the way that most non-rural white Canadians her age are. I doubt she's a homophobe. I don't think she's a bigot, though I do believe she genuinely doesn't care about racial issues. That's really the best you can say about her. The only issue she ever seemed passionate about were her vegan phases, and I don't think she ever really cared about animal welfare so much as she thought all vegans automatically become skinny waifs by default.

I think she once said Justin Trudeau was hot? But that's not a political opinion. It's not even an original opinion. And it's not like she said "I'll vote for Trudeau because he's hotter than Andrew Scheer," which would be a dumb take but at least she'd be paying a TINY bit of attention to the world. I don't think she knows who Andrew Scheer is. (For non-Canucks, he was the leader of the Conservative Party in the last election.)

Peetz is dumb, and he might be getting all his opinions from Twitter and not thinking about them critically, but at least he's paying a TINY bit of attention to the world outside his bedroom. I feel like you have to put real effort into being as shallow and ignorant as Chantal, just like you'd have to put real effort into eating enough to be that fucking fat.
