My dad and I were entertaining the possibility of Kamala filling in for Biden over the phone earlier. It's not out of the realm of possibility.

Honestly, that would be a horrible choice on the Dems' part, but I can see them doing it-- anything to avoid Sleepy Joe getting up on stage for 90 minutes. The Dems would probably think that no matter how poorly Kamala does, they can always use the "muh racism" and "muh sexism" crap against Trump afterwards.

If this happens, then it would be really bad optics for Joe. The whole "he put a lid on his campaign for an entire week" thing, and then topping that off with him not making it to the debate? Your average American is going to raise their eyebrows at that ... Especially independent voters. Getting someone to debate for him is a terrible idea! I'd say it would be worse optics than Joe getting BTFO'd by Trump.

Also, Kamala isn't a great debater. All she does is think of one-liners and ad hominems to use. She couldn't even try to defend herself when Tulsi went for the killshot because she got so flustered and mad. She would get slaughtered by Trump. It would be 2 kills for the price of one for Trump if Kamala fills in for Joe.

I'll believe that the debates will happen once they're literally on the air.

They keep saying that the first debate is happening tomorrow ... But I still have my doubts, especially based on Biden putting a lid on his campaign almost every single day for the past week BEFORE NOON.

Wouldn't shock me if tomorrow morning started with an announcement that Biden has tested positive for COVID, and that it's all Trump's fault for not controlling the pandemic. Then, Biden will be all well and good on November 1st, with the media claiming that he's a young and spry fighter who powered through the coof and is totes healthy enough to become POTUS. The Dems and the media keep sinking to new lows, so at this point, I wouldn't be shocked in the slightest if this happened.

If the debate actually happens tomorrow, then I anticipate the debate being more Trump vs. Chris Wallace rather than Trump vs. Biden.

I think the first debate will happen for sure and they'll give Biden the best drug cocktails and do everything they can to keep him going. If the debate does get called off part way through, it will be because of an actual medical emergency most likely.

I could see them call off the second and third debates or the VP debates though, especially if Joe Biden does badly enough in the first debate. If it weren't for all the hand-wringing and virtue signalling about how they don't want to debate "fascists" I could see them cancelling it, but now it's expected and Trump called their bluff.

The first debate is going to happen no matter what. Anything after that is anyone's guess.

Honestly, if Biden is going to say something racist or drop the gamer word, it'll probably be in an innocent unintended gaffe like Clerks II.

Heck, "porch monkey" or "yard ape" is probably the slurs for blacks most likely to get used since it's also used in a non-racial context for kids goofing off sort of like "rascal" or "rapscallion" and mainly in the mostly black rural South and in parts of Appalachia. IIRC, it gained its racist slur status in the Northern cities and the Rust Belt during the Great Migration.

More likely, he's gonna say something that doesn't contain any actual slurs but can very easily be seen as racist among normies and will make Woke Twitter shit bricks in anger.

The first began with the death of Soleimani, the second is the beginning of the pandemic, the third began with the death of criminal gangster George Floyd, and the last began with the death of Ginsburg and will encompass the one of the most contentious elections in US history.

The presidential debate tomorrow is gonna be a big event (obviously), but I don't believe it will be an important event. It will be a bigger deal if it doesn't happen. Of course Biden can pull out at the last second, but I'm 99% certain it will happen. There's going to be two by-elections in Toronto, one in York Centre and another in Toronto Centre, Bernier will be running for York Centre.

If Trump's campaign hasn't stopped with "Truth over Facts", they need to use his old language, child sniffing, and 180 years comment. Investigate the rumor that Biden steals youth like the witches in Hocus Pocus.
