I'm not a lawfag, but Boogie is probably on the hook not for trying to shoot Frank but probably for "reckless endangerment" like not knowing where that bullet goes. And even then that's if someone (neighbor, state) charges him. And even then Boogie probably won't go to prison, his lack of priors (to my knowledge) would probably mean just some fines and community service.

Tbh, I'm asking myself right now how long it will take until Frank Hassle pulls that shit with the wrong dude and gets offed.
IMHO, Booger should have shot him and then go full "he harrassed and stalked me for month and now he showed up at my door and was trespassing". Would most likely stirred less shit up than the dumb warning shot.

His best bet would have been to stop giving Frank so much fucking attention over the last few months, and not to react like a fucking nutjob in response to Frank's needling.

Hassle turns up and goes "where is the gun, open fire, open fire", you keep the door closed, get your phone and call 911 - there is a man knocking on my door, asking me to shoot him, please send someone to send him away. Police come, Frank fucks off, go on with day. Alternatively, get the gun, keep it near you and then go on with your day inside your house, watch some tv, play a computer game and so on. If Hassle can't get a reaction, he will fuck off, maybe take a few pictures to show how much he owned you and then leave. If he tries breaking into the house or does something that actively endangers you, then shoot him.

Instead he rises to the provocations like the manchild he is and pulls out the gun and fires a warning shot. I can't blame his alleged bad upbringing for this lack of critical thinking skills because he's 40 to 50 years old. What a complete specimen.

Alternative ending, Boogie commits to what he said on killstream and invites Frank to a restaurant, they both talk shit for 30 minutes while eating pizza and then just fuck off to their houses, then boogie tweets that he invited Frank to a restaurant because he's such a nice guy and a pacifist, that they didn't sort it out and that Frank is still a fucking asshole.
