The Democrats have been using civil unrest this year like a jackhammer to all their problems. You can't say this on social media because then you get smug 105 IQ pundits going "Oh yeah, Joe personally ordered all those people to show up". No you idiot. They knew about the gatherings and let them happen. The hands-off approach is the go-to tactic, only reason they ever started condemning the riots was when it was the undeniable cause of their slide in polling. Before that, they were perfectly happy to applaud the whole summer of destruction and personal tragedy.

Part of me genuinely wonders if this is some 4D chess move by the Democrats. The 1st Amendment is Freedom of Speech, including Assembly and Expression. They're making headway removing speech since modern public spaces are private globocorps, but what about physical assembly? The media tried really hard to vilify the anti-lockdown protestors, and all but begged one of them to go on a shooting spree. All to no avail. However, the BLM and associated clown shows now attract bi-partisan hatred, I'm sure there's hay to be made from promising that sort of chaos never happens again-- though the obvious 'Properly Fund Law Enforcement' isn't an option for the left right now. Come 2021 I expect some of congress will try to get out in front of the anti-riot ire with some unconstitutional bill that outlaws 'assembly without a permit' or something with ludicrous penalties that'll only get exercised on their political enemies.

I will be voting for Trump after being a lifelong Democrat. Lots of reasons for this but there is no way I can vote for Grandpa and Lady Macbeth. All of that aside, I had the most Vivid nightmare recently that someone assassinated Trump. I can't shake that something like this is about to happen. If this were a movie it would be the build-up to a finale, the music would be getting louder and the audience would be on edge knowing that something bad is coming. No matter who wins there will be violence and more unrest. I can't ever think of anyone who has been so hated in my lifetime As Trump is. I really think that someone is going to try to kill him.

1. President Pence takes over, but cannot stop rightwing violence. The right will take Trump's assassination as proof the left will never let them have peace, and you'll have massive uncoordinated slaughter like Rwanda and Yugoslavia, with different political groups instead of ethnicities.

2. President Pence manages to maintain some civil order, but only through draconian measures. Every politically active leftist will be doxxed and tracked, and 25% of the country will become the original definition of outlaw (someone who stands outside the protection of the law i.e. free game) in a de facto sense, possibly more given the growing resentment cops must feel. No DA protection is going to matter, because the DAs will mysteriously vanish. Any known leftist will be under constant threat of attack, and there will be literal scores of "lone-wolf rightwing extremists". Cops won't investigate these attacks. Their resources will be going to ensuring civil order. Leftwing political tactics won't work, and they had better keep their heads down. Crying victim, their favorite tactic, is only going to make things worse; tears make the best lubricant. Think cartoon-revisionist Dixie, where lynch mobs manifest every few hours.

3. President Pence doesn't even bother trying to keep order. After all, he's next in line. He unleashes the military to conduct mass arrests. There wil be massive concentration camps while people await trial (which may never come). They won't be executed per say; they're probably going to North Dakota or Eastern Montana or some other part of the northern great plains, and will either freeze or starve during the winter. Pence is going to assume full dictator powers under a Reichstag fire situation, and the future depends on if he's willing and able to give up power. Whether or not he is up to that decides whether America becomes an empire and he is our Caesar, or if we might have shot at staying a republic.

This ad is going to sound really disingenuous once the Barrett hearings start. Other than that, it sounded pretty much the same as the ad you heard.

Something I've noticed is that there isn't a lot of Trump TV ads in Michigan. There are far more ads for the senate race and a lot of Biden ads. Is the Trump campaign waiting until it's closer until the election, or is there a bigger focus on online ads?

If Trump was assassinated, the right will probably exact revenge. If not by the politicians, then the people will request it. The legislature branch will bring laws in that will take away more of our freedoms. I'm not sure if RWDS would roam the streets. I'd assume Pence would keep some semblance of order in the country if the civilians did their own death squads. Very short acting stimulants taken intranasally can be this limited (coke’s initial rush is ridiculously short, and designer drugs like 3-fpm probably have the same potential before the secondary tweeker phase), but more likely this would be because Biden’s short term memory is shot and he needs the next batch of talking points.

I actually agree with a lot of people on the left when they argue people on the right can't have it both ways. Either Biden is senile and can't debate and his brain is mush, or Biden is regurgitating speaking points from memory, but not both.

It could be both. As a career politician, he probably does have policy positions drilled into the “facts” portion of his mind, separate from “memories”. A brief reminder of which position to support is probably enough to drive him forward - I’m of the position that he‘s suffering from mild cognitive decline, not long term memory failure (probably can remember whole sections of policy based on the smell of shampoo).
