Details: The debate will be 90 minutes long and have no commercial breaks. There will be no opening statements, and instead Wallace will dive right in with the first question to Trump. It will be divided into six 15-minute segments that Wallace has chosen. They are:
1) The Trump and Biden records;
2) The Supreme Court;
3) Covid-19;
4) the economy;
5) race and violence in cities;
6) the integrity of the election.

After the debates a poll will be posted on who you think won this first debate. Have lots of fun, keep the commentary fresh as I'm sure we've all heard many of the same lines for months and enjoy the beginning of the end of this presidential election cycle. Just as a reminder, on October 7th there will be a Vice Presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.

No offense to you, but...Biden made Trump look like a toddler.

Was Joe hard or soft on crime? Does he respect or disrespect the law? Can he shoot for the courts? There’s a way to communicate these nuances - which Trump failed to do.

Mind, I don’t want Biden or any proponent of the laughably corporate TPP in office. But saying Biden had “no control,” when Trump had to be quieted by the Fox News host, is not an indicator of Biden’s lack of sanity. That’s ”basket of deplorables” level of bad analysis.

Trump’s snout defirmed two minutes in, never taking time to readjust, too withered to tell the best answer to some of Joe’s statements would be to shut the fuck up and let Biden rattle into nothingburger before calling him out. When he actually did that, he actually got ground - which, like much of the momentum he got he got during his presidency, he immediately squandered on some inanity that didn’t mean anything. Drug addicts don’t break down as badly under the spotlight as Trump did with this (near nonexistent) moderation, and anyone using Biden as a deflection for this poor performance is deluding themselves on his craftmanship.

When attempting to demonstrate superiority over an apponent, you don’t spend a quarter of the match arguing with the ref. That’s not a radical sentiment. That’s common sense. Which #45 needs more of if he wants to guarantee more time in the oval office.

Democrats decided a long time ago to "take the high road." We know how Trump is going to act. No one should be surprised by it.

But the Democrats let Grandpa Joe babysit Trump and it went south. Trump would have been ordering liquor and hookers 15 minutes after the metaphorical "parents" left.

Also Trump treated Biden the same way AntiFa has been treating common people. The left will be appalled while the right will cheer Biden "getting what he fuckin' deserves."

The process gets better when people stop being a slave to the system where our only choices are a Giant Douche and a Turd Sandwich. Shame that COVID didn't do its job of killing all the boomers who keep the two-party paradigm alive.
I was in high school at one point to you know. You aren’t even wrong about there needing to be more than two parties, but it’s unfeasible at the fucking moment and it also is better served by political outsiders being allowed to take up office rather than retards like Gary Johnson ruining potentially viable third parties by making them look like autism factories.

The debate was a glorious dumpster fire. Which means Trump won. You don't roll in the mud with a pig and Trump is the pig in this equation. I'm interested in seeing how pro Biden and the few remaining independents thought about it. In my opinion Trump came off as domineering, belligerent and ran the 90 minute conversation. Joe needed help from the moderator to save him from Trump. The election is for a leader, not for a "nice" bumbling affable guy. Trump was that even if it was messy.

Trump subverted and won the Republican party as a platform as an outsider. He is as close to a third party candidate as you are ever going to see in that office.

Third parties have always existed and succeeded at changing America. Masons, mafia, Goldman sachs, the media, china, Jews and unions.

You would have to redefine what a political party is and does to make one successful.

A successful 3rd party would be a politically minded for profit bussiness with a private welfare system for members

Mind you, this is coming from a server that has a dedicated #trump channel, with all the TDS you can imagine.
Imagine that. Leftists and populists who put all of their stock in politicians as magical saviors who can right all wrongs get super duper depressed when they realize they're as incompetent as anyone else. Who would've thought!

Yeah, this climate that fostered this hyperbolic debate is so bad... so let's use MORE hyperbole and talk about how the US is on the brink of some imaginary civil war. Rather than realizing most people saw this debate as trash and unifying around that, let's just assume "the other side" is all evil and will go crazy and murder me just for funsies.

Biden should have let trump run his mouth, instead of continuing to try and speak over interruptions.

When someone interrupts you in any heated discussion they're almost certain to say the worst takes, because they aren't thinking about the next words they say.

all continuing to speak over trump did was make it hard to get a lot of his points across intelligibly.

That's impossible and it's WHY Trump did what he did. I get the sense people here don't really grasp that. It's why Trump came out so strong at the top: he knows Biden's mindstate, the aggression was only there to trip him up and confuse him. And it worked. And if it wasn't working he would have stopped. Biden wasn't calm and reserved, he was loopy and timid, and Trump was trying to ram a stick in his spokes at the top.

Out of all the candidates, Gabbard and Buttgey were probably the best options to go against Trump. Pete however has a problem like Marco/ Hillary where he is too robotic and comes off as focus grouped.

Gabbard would have carried the simp vote by 90 points. Probably men by 10+ points. Her having good policies also helps.
Gabbard's policies are mostly bad if you look them up.

That being said she had the best chance of beating Trump out of all the dems that ran for it. It looks way worse when a man is steamrolling a women then it does another man, even if that man is senile.

Somebody posted an article about the debates against hillary where they switched genders. Had a woman say and act like Trump did and have a man be Hillary. People who liked Hillary initially came away from watching it saying the woman playing Trump won the debates and they liked her more and the man playing Hillary was weak. They've lost that this time having a man agaisnt Trump. Nobody cares if a man is getting bullied by another man, you just look weak when that happens. Nobody wants a weak president.

So, I haven't looked at how this played in Peoria.

And if I can be so bold, I'm going to call it right now.

TDS'ers are crowing about how Biden "Showed incredible poise and Trump was a loudmouthed meanie-head who couldn't abide by the rules like the Nazi he clearly is!"

TES'ers are corwing about how Trump "Took complete control and Biden was a weak demented piece of meat that Trump totally took to the woodshed like he deserved for being a commie sympathizer!"

And the vast middle of the road is posting memes to their social media of choice about how "Average Americans" are watching two clowns honk each other's noses and pleading for "better" candidates.

That about right?

Trump practically demolished Biden in every way, and he did the smart thing by interrupting constantly to point out made-up bullshit and immediately contradict their lamestream claims. I really don't care that he ran roughshod over the debate format, only that he immediately tore down the fun-house mirror image Biden attempted to project of himself every time he tried it.

Sure but it's not supposed to be. Look at this and tell me this is the man you want dealing with the rest of the world and calling other heads of state "clowns" and/or worse.
Because like it or not Trump is out current head of state and it shows Biden's dementia is advanced. Dementia makes people say inappropriate things because they aren't aware who and where they are. Biden as President would tank this country so hard because Kamala's only talent is as a fucktoy for old men.
To be fair Trump has called other heads of state names as well. “Rocket man is going to destroy himself” lol

Shit got real when he mentioned his coked out son. At this point it felt more like internet bloodsports :story:

How do you figure? How are they not both dragging us along a slow road to authoritarianism. How are they not both unwilling to give up our tax revenue? How are they not both unwilling to give up an inch of the power we've given them? How are they not both desecrating the Constitution on a daily basis? How were both candidates in the debate not equally incoherent and frivolous last night. There is essentially no difference anymore, but nice misrepresentation, you actual mongoloid.

Yeah we saw the South Park episode too

That's good, because it's playing out in reality at this very moment.
