I disagree. Despite NYC literally dying before their eyes, plenty of my husband's apolitical coworkers think it's all coof related and aren't aware of DeBlasio's corruption.
The rioting and looting is seen as "young adults releasing pent-up frustration".
If apolitical normies in a deep-blue town can't see it, I'm cynical of middle America thinking this is anything more than "just what happens in an election year".

If that is truly the case, then the mainstream media has done its job.

That is because society is too big and abstract for the common person to understand. Bet you the same people know all the ins and outs of the politics at their office or job.

Joe Biden's twitter posted a post-debate smear video of Trump. It said he didn't go far enough to condemn white supremacy. Bad enough he bullshits his way into pretending Trump's a white supremacist, he lifts footage from Portland and Kenosha to call the anti-arson faction Nazis.
Fuck this guy. He includes a still of Kyle Rittenhouse btw, and calls him a white supremacist. I hope his lawyer takes the DNC to to cleaners for that.
Someone should remind Biden that he was endorsed by Richard Spencer. Who is the white supremacist now? Please don't tell him less he gets a heart attack

Without a doubt.
Most people really don't care; they think the DNC and the RNC are still whatever they thought it was when they were kids.
It also doesn't help that those who are politically aware are massive spergs. It was amusing to see two gym members have an autist fight by constantly changing the channel between MSNBC & Fox News every other day, until the owner probably got tired and switched them all to ESPN and TNT. Regulars were annoyed at both the spergs and their complaining.
I personally don't think the media does and says what they say because they want you to believe them, but rather to turn you off everything altogether and ignore the political housefire America has.

That is because society is too big and abstract for the common person to understand.
Maybe, but you don't need a political degree to know the basic gist of things.
I think it's just that most people genuinely don't care and/or have bigger things to worry about.

I love the smell of fear and trepidation in the morning.

Liberals act smug when they win. They don't go full tard rage mode (or maybe they are in perpetual anger mode since Trump won? ). Thinking that Biden won handily woud've had them being "heh. Can't wait till the next debate Drumpth. I'll bring the flowers to your funeral." They saw something that is causing them to shit themselves in anger, and that it was not the Biden blowout they wanted.

BTW Kyle's lawyer did respond. He is pissed.

IMHO, that is the best Trump campaign ad I have seen in a while. Not only does it include Trump saying "sure" when condemning white supremacy, it also includes Trump blaming all the violence on the left wing. For the people who have watched the BLM bullshit play out all summer, they already know the Democrats' strategy for handling BLM (which is to let them Burn, Loot and Murder), so showing Trump being against that makes him look like the reasonable one. The accusation that Trump has a personal army of white supremacists ready to kick the shit out of BLM is icing on the cake; normal people know 1) it's not true and 2) maybe it wouldn't be that bad if it was true.

I also can't believe Biden tried to smear Kenosha Kyle in that vid. 10 seconds on youtube shows clear-cut self-defense. So Biden wants to be known as the anti-Kyle? "Vote for me, shooting criminals is wrong!" I guess the anti-dementia meds must have worn off when he posted this video.

Historically, the incumbent typically "loses" the first debate. I mean, in 2012, Mitt Romney absolutely eviscerated Obama in that debate ... But nobody remembers that debate because of the debates that followed, and because Obama won the election anyway in a landslide. And Bush very much lost his first debate with Kerry, and Bush did better in the 2004 election than he did in 2000 (as he won the popular vote that time).

While I maintain that there isn't a "winner" of this debate, it's very clear to see that Biden is the loser, based on the reactions we're all seeing in the media rounds today. Lots of lefties visably said that Biden looked weak and low energy compared to Trump last night, and that they wanted Joe to come into the debate with guns ablazing ... And he couldn't even do that with Chris Wallace's help, no less.

As for Trump "losing voters": Nah, ain't gonna happen. Trump supporters don't give a rat's ass if he interrupted Biden or Wallace, and I just can't see them suddenly agreeing with the news media on the "white supremacy" claims, after all of these years of them running that narrative anyway.

And as for independent voters ... I don't think that Biden constantly saying "That's not true (while saying literally nothing else)," and literally flipping back and forth on stuff like the Green New Deal on stage is going to entice independents to go out and vote for him. If no other debates happen, then I can easily see a lot of people just staying home in November. Plain and simple.

In short, the fact that the Democrats are now hollering for the rest of the debates to be canceled clearly shows that Biden comes out the loser of last night's geriatric WWE match.

Implying Biden has any say whatsoever on what gets put on his social media.
Don't forget, Trump has an unusually savvy grasp of Twitter, youtube and instagram for an early Boomer (read: Born 1945-52). A lot of those types including in my own family turn a blind eye to all of that and delegate such shit to their kids. Biden's probably of the same cloth, he's got no business operating a smartphone.
His whole campaign is based off outright lies. From the Fine People Hoax to this. It's really damning his campaign (composed of much much younger people btw) think they can will their truth into existence when 20 second clips on youtube completely perforate their rhetoric.

And btw, Rittenhouse's lawyer is the same lawyer who got CNN to settle 150 million dollars out of court with Nick Sandmann. WHEN they drop a defamation lawsuit (with an incredibly easy win) I wonder who will get landed with the $X00,000,000 bill? Given the DNC's finances, I'd say they will genuinely throw Biden under the bus and render him bankrupt since whoever made this piece of art posted it to Joe's personal twitter page.

Hearing the Dilbertmerchant is sperging out like this is really surprising. I dont get it, what's going on here?
IMO like what @Lemmingwise has said, he's pushing buttons, but he also:

1.) Has a personal connection to debunking the #finepeople hoax (no doubt it's been used as an excuse for attacking people as 'racist', or for justifying Antifa violence)
1601488216795.png

2.) Is likely frustrated that Trump is still unable to concisively shut down the hoax in a moment that can't be selectively edited or memory holed- which is why it's still an issue 3 years on.

3.) Realizes that elections can be won on runaway narratives, and is frustrated that this one has been given a breath of fresh air. From a persuasive viewpoint, the MSM has memed into normies' minds that Trump "is soft on racists", and Trump has failed to convince them otherwise.

Again, also like @HTTP Error 404 says, I doubt he's going to vote for Biden. After all, he's left an opening of "this might all change".

There are other things at play.
There was a woman some time ago was raped right in public. No one seen it. The more people see an event the more likely they are going pass the responsibly to others in the crowd.

People also dont like to think there is a problem. Problems are often unpleasant. If they pretend they dont exist then maybe it will go away.

There is this book titled "allure of toxic leaders" by jean lip man.

It explains this behavior in a bit more detail then I.

Then there the npc issue. Many many people are not sentient or they lack cognition to process certain things.

Then there is the instinctual deference to authority. Im not in charge.
Its not my problem. These authority figures say this how it is therefore its true.

Yep. I remember when Hillary won the(not handily, but he didn't do so hot tbqh). Literally, I wouldn't hear the end of how Shillary was going to cream him in the general (until she fucking lost). This is not the sound of liberals winning. Also, the DNC is dumb enough to fuck with a kid. It's a very good thing that he has a great lawyer tbqh.

So Biden wants to be known as the anti-Kyle? "Vote for me, shooting criminals is wrong!"
You overestimate how many average people are aware of Kommie-Killer Kyle sending pinkos to hell.
Again, most people, D & R alike, do not know who he even is. Especially a lot of boomer voters who vote R/D out of party loyalty rather than per candidate.

Why does he have a personal investment in something nobody cares about though? At this point in time anybody who still believes the "fine people hoax" are willfully ignorant and aren't going to change their minds no matter what evidence you show them. It's the same with "All Mexicans are rapists" hoax. If you believe those now you are beyond saving. Why does Adam's care?

This. Not to mention that that was during a time when a small group of white nationalists ran a stupid fucking event in one city that while it killed a woman, didn't spill over into all out anarchy and rioting/looting. We literally have groups of antifaggots looting and rioting many cities across the country now and trying to make their way into the suburbs. But Drumpft said something out of context 3 YEARS AGO. That's what matters now. Shit like this is why pothead Joe Rogan would have been a better moderator than that weasel-facced faggot Wallace: he never would have backed down from any of his questions, never would have debated with or done interference for the candidates while reigning them in if necessary, ask questions that most people are asking and generally control the situation better. I can't wait till these TV corporate faggots lose their jobs.

They also like to count their chickens before they've aborted them... I mean hatched. They were so smug over the Mueller investigation and Impeachment. Watching them freaking out fills my heart with joy.

"Didn't disavow white supremacy enough."

The Trump administration literally labeled the KKK as a domestic terrorist group last week. Trump has been on record denouncing racism and bigotry multiple times throughout the course of his entire presidency. "There's no room in this country for hate," and "Bigotry goes against the values that America holds dear." But okay, that's not "enough."

"Enough" for these people means telling everyone that all Republicans are Nazis. That's literally the only way he can please these people, because the truth of the matter is that their motivations are very political and not about race in the slightest. That's why the Proud Boys were brought up in the first place. Conflating the Proud Boys with the KKK and Nazis is just ... Flat-out dishonesty.

That said, when Chris Wallace kept pressing, Trump had the opportunity to deliver a K.O. to both him and Biden, and Trump didn't follow through enough. That's why I stand by my statements that there was no winner of last night's debate.
Trump's camp made a video about Bidens lies a while ago.

Meme makers and political cartoonists about to have a field day. Dollars to donuts we get a cartoon of Biden hidin' under Wallace's skirt this week.

“I guess I’m debating you, not him, but that’s okay.”

This is what Trump said to Chris Wallace when he criticized him for not having a plan to replace Obamacare. Wallace also served up many questions helpful to Biden—such as asking Trump why he said there were ‘fine people on both sides in Charlottesville.’ Similar to the debates with Hillary, the setup was against Trump, but he clearly won the debate against both Joe Biden and the moderator. The short answer format was designed for interruptions and we got those in spades. Trump needed to interrupt to assert himself against the Deep State narrative.

Although both candidates interrupted each other throughout the debate, Wallace attempted to silence Trump more than Biden. At times I felt the president shouldn’t interrupt and simply allow Joe to blabber. The more Biden goes on and on, the worse he sounds. Joe particularly can’t handle numbers. His memory remains shot even if he was pumped up on peppy substances for the debate.

Joe’s coaches must have told him to stonewall when it came to difficult questions. Joe DID call troops ‘stupid bastards.’ I saw it on a video. Yet Biden stated, “I did not say that.” He also said his son’s windfall deals with China and Ukraine weren’t true. Joe was right about his son Hunter not being dishonorably discharged for his cocaine use in the Navy, but Hunter did receive a less than honorable discharge. Biden DID help his son during his vice presidency. That’s a proven fact that Joe denied. Apparently Joe’s strategy was to lie his way out of any uncomfortable situation. When pressed, he called the president a ‘clown.’ Ad hominem attacks are a sure sign of a debate loser.

Joe’s base includes socialists and progressives, but he denied his support for the Green New Deal or planning to give out universal health care. He said he supports the police, as long as they bring along psychiatrists and sociologists to prevent any violence toward citizens. Feelings are important to Joe. The country must learn to respect hurt feelings in order to change systemic racism. I don’t recall a right to not getting one’s feelings hurt in our Constitution.

Joe also claimed he was the voice of the Democrat Party. Trump retorted, “Not according to Kamala.” Trump had the superior improvised zingers. He helped separate Joe from his leftist base. Without them, he has nothing but Deep State backing. In other words, Biden can do nothing but harm himself in further debates. That’s why we many not see another one.

Joe is better off staying in his basement.

—Ben Garrison

Except Biden never made the "super-predator" remark, it was Hillary. But that comment was in reference to the '94 crime bill, so I guess he could be tarred by association.

Copying my post over from the debate thread:
I think this is another one of Trump's tactics where he gives slightly incorrect info to get the fact checkers to point out something just as bad or worse. Like when he gave the rape statistics for illegal immigrants that were a little low and the media tripped over themselves to call him wrong, but in doing so they published the actual percentage which was worse.

Joe Biden in a 1993 speech warned of "predators on our streets" who were "beyond the pale" and said they must be cordoned off from the rest of society because the justice system did not know how to rehabilitate them.
https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/07/politics/biden-1993-speech-predators/index.html (https://archive.vn/9ldKo)

People take the bait everytime. This move also brings up the fact that Hillary called them super predators. It's a win-win for Trump.
