Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

He’s campaigning using Amtrak? Isn’t that a bit kinda using government funds?

Maybe the campaign is more strapped for funds than they're letting on to. Not that it will make that big a difference but seriously is there anything redeeming about this whole shit show to begin with?

Or maybe the down time between stops will help him sharpen his debate skills?

Its better than not doing it at all, I suppose. Hillary not bothering to do it made her seem like an out of touch ice queen.
It is, but I'm asking a serious and a rhetorical question, and not just because I think the Socratic Method is fun. Why did his campaign completely abandon its stance on in-person campaigning, it's stance on door-to-door canvassing, its stance on holding rallies, and why is their candidate personally making appearances in "safe zones" if they're so confident that those areas don't need any help and are already in the bag for the election?

They haven't had any ground game at all for this entire election cycle, and I don't mean it was minimal or it was a poorly-run ground game, I mean it literally did not exist. If they were going to establish one, they would have done it all the way back in March, but they saw fit to completely ignore one and apparently (IE: Allegedly) this was to the benefit or at least not to the detriment of the campaign, because all of these super-for-real totally honest polls have been saying he's way, way out in the fucking lead and Trump doesn't have a snowball's chance in Hell.

So what's with the 180? Why completely reverse what's allegedly a winning strategy in order to mimic the strategy of your opponent, who is allegedly using a losing and dangerous strategy, because Chinkie Pox? This sudden shift not only flies completely in the face of all of their original reasons to avoid in-person campaigning because of Black Death 2.0, it also doesn't make any sense that they're having their candidate personally play defense in safe zones, while their opponent is out campaigning in fucking Duluth, Minnesota. A decidedly unsafe zone.

If they're winning, why are the Democrats bunkering down so hard on defense in areas that they should not need to defend, while their opponent is playing offense in areas that should be impossible to flip?

My answer is that maybe they only have people willing to do in-person stuff in that area, or at least that they trust.

Maybe they literally don't have the (trustworthy not to leak) manpower elsewhere. Aren't they scared shitless of leaks?

The train thing is just straight up bizarre to me. Does the DNC think that poor people are all the time riding around on Amtrak? Who the hell takes Amtrak anywhere? It’s the strangest attempt to pander I’ve ever seen. It really just highlights that he’s OLD and hilariously out of touch. If you check the website, Amtrak is advertising itself as essentially a sight-seeing vacation. Not exactly the hard workin’ man’s choice.

Not that anyone actually does, but when the left very occasionally mentions rail, it’s usually to complain that we don’t have better, more accessible transit options. Is that the point? Is Joe, a month away from the election, trying to make a point about the US needing more trains? Is the whole world insane?

Powerlevel, but when I was broke and couldn’t afford a car I took greyhound buses when I needed to get places. I have never taken an Amtrak anywhere.

Wife of Boston Marathon hero said Biden touched her in 'an inappropriate and uncomfortable way'

Excerpt:

In two Facebook posts, one of which has since been deleted, Kim Donohue alleged that during a remembrance ceremony in Boston, a year after the April 2013 deadly bombing, then-Vice President Biden began "rubbing" her lower back.

"Look at those eyes, where did you get those eyes?" Donohue wrote. "Anyone else as good looking as you in that family ... those eyes are mesmerizing, people must just do whatever you say."

In a separate post, this one made in July 2016, Donohue reiterated her claim that Biden "greeted me by rubbing my back in an inappropriate and uncomfortable way" then "pushed" her husband, Dic Donohue, who was shot in the leg by one of the Tsarnaev brothers, aside.

"Biden then asked if I wanted to ride in a car with him down to a ceremony we were all attending at the Marathon finish line," Donohue wrote. "He led me down a black hallway (Dic of course followed) and I got inside the most uncomfortable 3 person car ride I have ever been in."

When reached for comment, Kim Donohue confirmed making the accusations against Biden but would not discuss them further. An individual close to Donohue said her politics have shifted since the Obama years, and she is now supportive of the Democratic Party and Biden's candidacy.

"I couldn't get out of that car fast enough, I practically dove into the pavement," Donohue wrote in the comments of the post.

I love trains and Joe Biden had a train and Donald Trump didn't have a train so I'm voting for the train this November and Biden is on the train so I think the train is stopping at the White House eventually. I do not know if Joe Biden is getting off the train though. I wouldn't because then I would not be on a train.

Joe Biden attacking Trump’s core base: autists.

So, he's launching in-person canvassing for Pennsylvania, Michigan, Nevada, and New Hampshire, 30 days out from the election? I thought he had those states on a hard lockdown and was like 20+ points ahead of Trump. If he's doing so well in these states, why does he suddenly need to start playing defense in "safe" areas instead of focusing his campaign on actual battlegrounds?

Bit of an odd strategy for someone who's winning by such a wide margin, isn't it?
I don't think that nows the time to half ass door to door canvasing.

Trump's ground game has been knocking on 1 million doors a week to shill for him since early August or even earlier. You can argue about registration deadlines, but the fact that it took 2 months to get out your people after your opponent is fucking horrendous planning.

Also, look at the states they are canvassing. Nevada and NH are already considered blue. Also notice where they aren't. Arizona and Florida, states that everyone is screaming about, are not in the cards. It should tell you exactly what they are seeing on their end. Keep in mind, potentially Minnesota can also flip. Epecially with these numbers from that Trump rally yesterday.

He is playing defense but decided to do so at the final quarter with a wonky scoreboard telling him he is always ahead. Good luck with that.

And memoryholed. Trump needs to pull what he did to Bill Clinton again.

Generally speaking, this is why holding a rally near a train station is a bad idea. Also, I thought Biden said he wasn't going to do rallies? Now that he's doing rallies, why is the crowd still like... 10 people?

Why there must be almost 2 dozen people there? A campaign record turnout!

So he's having to in person campaign in Pennsylvania. His purported "Hometown". Remember "It's Scranton vs Park Ave!" Well of course you remember. Not so much Joe. I mean he said that all the way back on... Tuesday. That's almost half a week!

For those not understanding the Train thing. Biden famously was the "Train Riding Senator". He rode the Amtrack service home from Capital Hill on weekends. And used it as his "Ordinary Everyday Joe" Image. Of course he had them HOLD the train for him every Friday, delaying thousands of people. And he rode in his own car. Because who would want to ride with smelly normal people? And they are expected to wait for him. You learn everything you need to about Biden from looking into his love affair with the Train.

What about Wilmington? I've seen that considered rust belt.
Wilmington is north of the canal. It used to be industry; but I'm not sure, anymore. I simply know that it is the city part of DE. Delaware was the first to enter the US. They beat the Pennsylvanians to their own city. It will be the last to leave. Delaware is generally speaking, about as representative of the country as a whole, as you could come. Two rural counties, and one metropolitan one.

But she was also quoted as saying that she really didn't want to comment on this because her politics have shifted since the obama years and she now supports Biden and his run for president, so fuck her. The fact that she can come up with a story like this and then say she supports biden shows these people are mentally ill.
