WHAT is the point of making Usopp black? Like, both his parents in-universe are pale but the creator said if Usopp was a real person, he would be half-black, and his mother's nose is a Japanese caricature of white people (as seen in the infamous airline commercial) so he is already, canonically, half-white and half-black. There was no reason to do this...you know, unless you hate mixed people.

I think this is a MAJOR factor in why people are making art of 90s and 00s anime and cartoons. I've noticed throughout the 2010s, the 80s were all the rage and now that 90s kids are reaching 30 this decade, they're regressing back to 'simpler times' to escape their sadness. Especially now since COVID put a stop to the new decade so there's nothing new inspiring people and driving things forward.

Holy shit, I remember this art style! Was this SaltyMilk from Flipnote? Her animations back at the time used to make me laugh, and her making 'fat' characters are for usually comedy and cute chubby animals. Then she stopped and I forgot about her.
To see her again like this... hurts me. What a fall.

What gets me is the 'favourite media' is all cartoons and kid's stuff. I mean, I'm on the Farms for the comics drama, so what do I know, but can't this 19+ adult find something a bit harder than PG-13 to put on the list?

I will say I wish some of the Blacktober designs had a bit more of their own original spin on it, especially since there’s so many hairstyles and African cultures to take inspiration from. Someone on Twitter actually did a pretty cool blacktober piece for Inuyasha and used some transitional clothing and hairstyles
