They did that, they created street art of Bush with a Hitler mustache and the phrase "Same shit, different asshole", my town had regular anti-war protests with people carrying fake coffins with "R.I.P. Democracy" painted on them, people were unironically claiming Bush would suspend the 2008 election and proclaim himself dictator for life, 9/11 conspiracy theories were taken serious and shared frequently on social media (namely Loose Change and Zeitgeist), Michael Moore was flaunted like the savior of humanity, entire albums were released called "Rock Against Bush", Green Day made their magnum opus off of their disdain for Dubya, and Comedy Central released numerous short-lived TV shows bashing the president.

2000-2008 was basically just a precursor to 2016-2020.
Folks marched around the college campus in 2004 carrying signs saying "4 more years of HELL" and weeping and wailing and gnashing their teeth at the idea that Bush was going to be the president again. Like, literally crying out in anger and pain that their candidate didn't beat the big meanie Republican Hitler.

It was hilarious.

I was not prepared for just how much more retarded people would get with the next Republican president, hoo boy. :story:

Say what you will of the Orange Man, but he hasn't started another Forever War© or attempted to. He also got us out of Syria after skull fucking ISIS, smeared General Salami, and has been trying to get us out of Afghanistan.
With Quid Pro Joe's "return to normalcy" platform I have no doubt that his cabinet he would saber-rattle at some shithole country somewhere enough to start yet another decade long military quagmire. Imagine an America where everything is locked down due to covid, we're fighting yet another pointless "democracy building" war abroad, and having a no-no thought on the internet gets you arrested interviewed by the woke police community response advocates. Not an America worth fighting for nor living in by my reckoning.

Oh, c'mon. It won't be that bad. At least when you're deployed to the sandbox you get to go outside. And I'm sure internet wrong-think will just get you drafted, not interviewed.

Keeping our troops in the sandbox and drone-striking sandniggers with collateral damage isn't quite as bad as "making up myths about WMDs and spreading global propaganda to remove some random dictator of Sandboxistan and spread democracy for Neocon Inc." to the tune of 2 trillion dollars.

Iraq had chemical weapons, which are WMDs . . .

Part of it is because of Bush v. Gore and part of it was because Bush was a lot closer to the Woke Left's idea of Trump than the real Trump is.

Bush was deeply in bed with the Religious Right, was a ferverent neocon and corporatist, and with a lot of the shit like the Patriot Act and the post-9/11 security measures, I could see why a lot of people had this fear of Bush becoming a dictator via emergency powers.

It was insane, but you could at least kinda follow the train of logic.

Saw the MSM.

Seems like the narrative has switched from criticize-posting to concern-posting, trying to throw out all the negative press that the president might in fact DIE from le COVID. In the age of journalism, there are multiple varying reports ranging from saying that he showed mild symptoms to saying that he'll die. What is with all of the inconsistencies and shit?

If I were to guess, it could be an attempt to demoralize the Trump voter base and blackpill them. This illness is a major issue and an unforeseen thing, and it could cost Trump the election even if he survives it.

CNN and MSNBC are essentially concern trolling to help that outcome along, while Woke Twitter, Antifa, BLM, The Squad, and the lefty clickbait mills are gravedancing and being hyper-venomous as usual.

I'd say that Silicon Valley is probably celebrating, but guys like Dorsey, Susan, and Mark Fuckerberg have to be at least somewhat aware of what a president dying in office could do to their financial well-being and the economy. Especially when combined with the "New Normal" eternal lockdowns bullshit.

This may sound like a cope, but I think there's a genuine fear in the DNC that Trump's illness could cost them the election when paired with Biden/Kamala being a dud candidate.

As illogical as that sounds, the "vote blue no matter who" Dem voters might be overconfident and think that Biden/Kamala has it in the bag because Trump has COVID-19 (whether it be because they think Trump's a goner or that the virus will cost him the election) so they might stay home more than usual while a very scared and panicked Trump voter base shows up en masse to vote because they're scared, especially with the past five months taken into account.

I'm sure they did. But I don't think many people were threatening violence towards Bush and his supporters or to kidnap and kill his children. Be fair to disagree with me but people very much more decent back then and both parties (and their supporters) more centrist. Nor were their riots when Bush won a second time.

Getting America out of Bush-induced wars is a very good thing, of course that groundwork was all laid during Obama's 8 year run dispite the hostility of the Republican house against him.

Imagine wanting to suck off Black Democrat Jesus so much that you believe this absolute horseshit, given Libya, Syria, et cetera. Incredible.

What are you talking about? Obama was as bad as Bush when it came to war.

Please refer to my last post regarding unclit. Canadians thought it was a smart move when Obama reduced troops in Iraq without a plan and told every other nation to withdraw troops from Afghanistan without increasing the number of US troops in the country because CBC said it was good.

Canadians also thought the NATO mission in Libya was good because CBC said so, but though Canadians bombing ISIS was somehow bad, again because CBC.

I mean you could argue he ended Bushes wars and then decided to start new ones which involved droning innocent civilizations

Wait, they're Canadian?

What is it with Canadians and having the dumbest opinions on US politics? It's like a disease.

The public education system in Canada tells Canadians that they're morally superior because we have publicly funded healthcare and "are UN peacekeepers, not war fighters like those assholes in America".
