I had no idea TDS (Trump Defense Syndrome) existed the other way. The president is taking experimental drugs being treated in the hospital and you cannot grasp it is serious.

Do you unironically think experimental treatments are only used in dire situations? Trump also had to be airlifted to the hospital where he had access to the best medical care in the world and still required oxygen and experimental treatment. Us regular people don't have access to that stuff. And even then, he has been very sparse on details of his treatment.

Honestly, if he is out of the woods for now, it is good that he is going back to the white house. It allows Walter Reed to get back to normal operation, like you said, and he can self-quarantine there.

Regeneron's treatment (REGN-COV2) is like a cocktail of factory farmed antibodies, they stop the virus from reproducing, similar to how natural immunity works. Over at least 7 days the virus will have it's population reduced to 1%-50% of the same person taking a placebo.

Trial results so far say it actually works proportionally to viral load, the higher the population the virus, the closer you get to 99% reduction, the lower it is, the closer you get to 50% reduction. Viral load goes up or down depending on both time and whether your immune system is responding. In practice it's always better to take it early to prevent a high viral load from even happening, with a bonus of it also working much better for people with compromised immunity.

Length of the illness is another issue, I didn't find anything yet on when you can test negative, but symptom alleviation seems to generally go from ~13-9 days in normal cases down to 6 for low dose (2.4g) and 8 for high dose (8g), You seem to recover faster with a low dose, but a high dose for Trump was a safer bet. I guess you could say Trump has a little less than half, or just under a week of his infection time shaved off.

One of the best parts of this is that it works even better if you're immune compromised, early use can bail out people who would otherwise die from it or develop fibrosis. In practice you try to use it like Tamiflu if you can get it early, but better in the sense that you can also use it later.

When you're sick it's common for it to go down to about 92.

It's when you get to 90 and under that shit is serious.

SPO2 "under 96" is nothing, if it was under 92 that would have been leaked because everything that could possibly make him look bad is always leaked.
