This is yet another reason why this stunt is a fucking retarded move:

Focus the attention on the Kung Flu and Trump's diagnosis? Sure, give extra spotlight to the guy who's entire strength lies is sucking the air from any room he's in, right after he's passed the time-period when COVID is at its most deadly, while he can respond in hour-long interviews where he sounds perfectly fine, videos where he stands tall and talks coherently, and plans to host rallies by the end of the week.

Look, the public isn't stupid. They can see strength and health with their own eyes: Kennedy slaughtered Nixon in debates when people could actually see his confidence. All Trump has to do to dismantle this stunt is fucking show up and host a single rally.

Hey can anyone here answer a question?

I recently just overheard a whole speel about how Trump is a criminal, apparently a whole story of him evading taxes and campaign money being funneled into a business with no workers, etc.. Anyone know what all of this is about and if it is actually true?

Long story short. It's a bullshit nothingburger.

Biden lacks a consistent slogan or tagline as well.

Should've plastered BBB all over. Build Back Better. That sounds ok.
"Build Back Better" is a direct excerpt from globo homo think tanks, the idea being never let a catastrophe go to waste in the effort to push your progressive dystopia. You can see it perfectly with how pelosi and the rest refuse a stimulus bill unless they can staple the progressive agenda to it.

It's not meant to do the same thing as Impeachment did. The goal isn't to actually remove him via 25th. I don't know the specifics, but the 25th doesn't work in the way it's being presented.

The rather obvious plan is to
  • Raise lingering doubts about Trump's health, especially his mental health
  • Amplify any gaffs Trump makes for the next month AND OR silence Trump from public speaking
  • Solidify discussion on COVID19, the one winning issue the DNC has at this point
  • Delay or prevent any nomination of ACB to the SCOTUS
Then, as close to 11/3 as humanly possible, Nancy's hand picked committee of DNC true believers and GOP Never-Trump Swamp Creatures will put out a "bipartisan recommendation" that Trump be removed from office because he obviously has something wrong with him.

Thus, having that fresh in undecided and moderate voters' minds on election day.

This is the October surprise. They've been planning it for months.

I would go so far as to suggest they intentionally infected Trump -- and, given that Deadline article that leaked early, planned to intentionally infect Pence -- with COVID19 to do it, but admittedly that might be a stretch.

EDIT:

And they had better fucking hurry up with talking about COVID, because Trump's taking that off the table.

Edit:

And Trump has the perfect response to the 25th thing, too.

I think trying to hit Trump on a health issue would be very dangerous, because it could easily be flipped on Biden, who appears much frailer and campaigns for maybe 4 hours a week. Plus they've already tried that with a bunch of psychologists diagnosing him remotely for years and it didn't work.

What I want more than anything is for politics and the news media to become boring again.

Right now, its just a goddamn shit show that never stops and panders to rambling morons.

If they become boring and straightforward again, it'll be followed by smart and mature people on both sides and leave the fringe idiots out of the mix.

But no way in fuck any of that is happening any time soon.
This is not really something I would voluntarily admit. The media and Obama and the Democrats were more than happy to let people stick their heads in the sand and pretend everything was good while it was going to shit. You've seen the results of that, yet you still want to go back to it?

Just because you weren't aware of what was going on doesn't mean things were boring. And they were never straightforward. Never have been, never will be.

These "smart and mature people on both sides" that you speak of, can you give a few examples?

Someone.. Hacked Steve Scully's account in order to send an innocuous message to some ex-Trump employee that nobody even remembers? I wasn't the slightest bit interested in the fact that Scully was communicating with Mooch before, but this absolutely nonsensical excuse for it definitely caught my interest. I wasn't suspicious before, now I'm fucking paying attention.

So talking with Mooch is a step way too fucking far, far enough to make Steve leap out and scream that his account was hacked--undoubtedly by people who screamed that this is MAGA country-- and yet things like this are perfectly fine:

So has his account just been hacked for four years, now?

To clarify, I don't want to go back to the Obama years either, because that featured an overzealous media that was willing to defend him at any turn. Trump helped to expose the fuck out of that, hence the sperg-fest. But the media was awful back then too.

What we have now was a slow transition over time. But with things like the news being extended to a 24/7 cycle, The Daily Show and shows like it, the prevalence of the internet, social media, and various other things, the media and political theater increasingly became a farcical clown show. And when it gets that way, it attracts dumber and dumber people, and everything becomes a shit show because of it.

What I want to go back to is this:

Look at that coverage. They aren't putting spins on anything, and it doesn't strike me as manipulative or one sided. And most importantly, no one is having a meltdown. They are just...saying what happened and reporting the numbers as they come in. That's it.

What I mean by "smart and mature people on both sides" is people who are willing to sit through 6 hours of that, and learn from it soak in the what they are supposed to get from it and not expect to be talked down to in order to understand what's going on.

I mean, lets say Trump wins by a margin similar to Reagan did in the 1980 election: Well, shit, we saw what they did in 2016, so we already have a baseline. And if Biden won by that margin, they'd be reacting like its New Year's Eve and being obnoxious about it.

I’ve got a theory that boomers introduced to the Internet later on in life still have to pass through the same phases of online maturity that millennials who grew up with it did.

It’s the reason your 50 year old mom uses a million emojis for everything or your weird aunt overshares about her personal life while posting vague comments to start drama. You know, like “certain people just don’t value friendship anymore :/”

I never thought I’d see the day when my Dad shows me a truly stupid meme that he thinks is funnier than I do, but here we are.

At any rate, it looks like the Scully and C-SPAN are collectively still in the phase where they think “I got hacked!!!1!!” is a really clever defense while everyone under 30 will immediately roll their eyes and smell bullshit.

Sorry, I can't take anyone seriously who thinks the media has ever been objective. So they were okay for one night. That means absolutely nothing to me. The so called fourth estate has always been the fifth column.

These ostensibly professional journalists of yesteryear were always just as evil as the contemporary ones. I would even argue moreso since they still had the illusion of legitimacy. If Dan Rather and Brian Williams hadn't been exposed for being the lying scum they are, people today would have been invoking them as models of integrity. People would have been saying, "Yeah, Brian Stelter does suck. I wish Dan Rather was still on air. That was a man you could trust. When he told you something, you knew it was the truth!"

Fuck the media and may they all burn in hell along with the people who enable them.

Even in that clip, you have two unrepentant leftists in Brokaw and Chancellor. They were just better at hiding it, and didn't yet see the dollar signs of going full-blown out-front partisan retard that they do now. What you're seeing here didn't last long, either. I remember when the GOP won the House in '94, and Peter Jennings said completely matter-of-factly that "America just had a temper tantrum".

I think it is more so that the “normie“ internet is the standard. I believe sites like Twitter and FaceBook just make everyone that way, whether they are 50 or 10. Most people communicate on sites that encourage quick responses and the most brain dead of posts. Seeing as Boomers only experience with the internet is FaceBook, a site that makes everything public, I can see how they get that way. Over sharing is the norm on there, and FaceBook capatalizes on it. I feel like FB has made the trope of the parent taking constant pictures even worse as now all their friends can see them take a trip to McDonald’s. It also does not help that FB tracks people to publish everything for them.

Also, the news has no clue how the internet works. I cannot go over how much I have cringed because a parent talked about internet trolls. Seriously, alt-right and trolls are pretty much just terms they use to describe people against what they like because news and media says so. Someone hates Star Wars, troll! A group exposes Hillary, alt-right conspiracy theorists!

Wait, Scully is from CSPAN? What the actual f*ck, I am honestly somewhat betrayed by this.

And you want to claim impartiality?

This pretty much nails my suspicion that Mooch was/is a media double-agent.
