I feel like even 40k can be pretty decent at her age, it's not superstar living, but coupled with superchats and whatever else, it's certainly better than many middle class households. And this is only as she's started ingratiating herself into the breadtube community. Her number of patrons went up by 40% over the course of just this past year and she now has a decidedly leftist fanbase thrilled to promote her. When she was still in the skeptic-sphere she kept holding back (due to Greg?) from engaging in drama streams and heavy politics, when that's the sort of stuff that's like crack for many more obsessive fans.

She may not ever gain the professional looking resume to work for a regular news organization (though I'm not sure Blaze really counts given it's one of the many blog type sites), but she's tapped into fanbase of wealthy leftists that want to hear a boxxy clone agree with them that healthcare good.

Also it doesn't sound like she views herself as having money issues.

I got over 40k from my first job fresh out of college, and I wasn't working long hours or anything. I was probably an ever-so-slightly above average student with ever-so-slightly above average work experience. Like I said, it's not good income for someone from the upper middle class.
She probably has made quite a lot and saved most of it, good for her. My point was more about job security and career advancement when compared to peers. Roaming Millennial / Lauren Chen is the best example of a peer I can really think of.

She doesn't want her life to change, to spend less,. If she actually bought a house, she might have to not live as extravagantly as she wants. She earned enough money long ago to have moved out and have a small apartment or something, but she only did fairly recently. You live a pretty cushy life if you have a choice of whether or not to change your lifestyle and consumption level.

While probably the 'edgiest' person on the Blaze, she didn't engage in stupid drama and did research for her vids, as opposed to just being a basic bitch 'SJW's suck, am I right?' Lauren also tried to acquire an audience of both sexes and wasn't trying to overtly use her sexuality to get views as opposed to Uwu Shoe, who is more than happy to milk simps. One is a long term strategy, the other is short term hope for massive gains.

She's earned a decent amount of money. She had huge views when you actually could make money on YT. Yet she stayed with her parents in upper middle class housing. I doubt they charged her rent and treated her like an adult. She could have lowered her lifestyle, lived in a crappy apartment, gained independence, and actually be a grownup. Instead she's 30, still stuck in a mean girl high school mindset, and just now trying to figure out what she wants out of life. Living a comfortable, no stress life and shaming people who actually deal with adversity and/or do pay attention to politics and the real life implications of what her larping leftism really entails. That's what I meant by extravagant.

But women have a tendency to blow all their money on a lot of little things, especially upper middle class ones who have never had to really endure privation. I know women who make less than a third of what she makes who blow all their disposable income on food delivery (because they've never had to cook for themselves) and overpriced beauty products that eat away at their faces.

The real issue though is sustainability. A person with a normal job is fine with 40k/year because it's consistent money they can bank on for the next 30-40 years and can tailor their living situation around, and most people will see their earnings rise as they gain experience. June isn't likeable enough to get by once her looks start seriously going south in 5-10 years and she's already well past her peak as an 'entertainer.' Her prospects increasingly look like outright poverty right as she hits middle age.

I'd just be curious what shoe actually spends money on. It's not food, her clothes look pretty cheap usually, she doesn't have an obvious drink or drug habit and she doesn't even really seem to leave the house. It just seems like she dweebs around on twitter/discord all day.
