I was being silly, I think it's a stupid term and it's being spammed everywhere. In a few everyone who used it will hopefully be embarrassed about it. Much like 'Cringe' though in this case whenever I do see someone say 'Clout' in a serious way, I do physically cringe a little bit.

Having had experience with the military and VA benefits, I'd say that there definitely are some aspects of it that work so well that they should be a model for civilian programs. It's important to note however that all of the good programs that work well tend to be ones where the government simply provides funds that the servicemember can spend in the private market. Everyone hates visting military medical, and the VA hospitals tend to suck, but Tricare insurance is excellent. I'd honestly be pretty stoked if the current social security system were replaced with an individual investment portfolio based system like federal TSP, or if we scrapped K-12 public schools in favor of a voucher system modeled on GI Bill benefits. Ensuring every working American gets a month of paid leave per year would be pretty nice as well.

Going back and forth on this thread, I know the infamous scarf girl and that June was a bitch to her (and apparently later tried to apologise and got pissed it was not received to her liking) but what is the whole story with that? I know she did a video where she talked about school drama with someone but I never found the part where she mentions scarf girl. Would anyone be willing to give a basic summary or provide a timestamp?

Decided to watch that Lauren Chen response. Didn't expect anything but really vanilla points and that's exactly what I got, very agreeable and vanilla comments. I see her as a centre-right Ziocon, basically the establishment conservative. Lauren Southern is a bit further (alt-lite is it called?), but still within the bounds of conformity politics.

Lauren's points are very simple... a high school kid should be able to comprehend it. Whether you agree or not is another matter. Breaking it all down to "cuz browns" is fucking stupid, Shooouwu is functionally retarded, I guess she needs some of that healthcare queueing for delusions.

Will her level of desperation grow slowly and reach critical mass when she turns 40?
