Not sure where else to put this, but Bill Hicks is a shitty comedian.

He was one of the first in a long line of comedians to be preachy about his ideological stances and make that wrap around his comedy and a lot of his routines aren't that funny...except his one about porn. His "lol rednecks" jokes are so cliche and drivel.

Just rewatched some of his stuff recently and you are right. There's a lot of fedora-tipping and "ha-ha only serious" moments about religion that was probably shocking in 1991 but is now just modern orthodoxy. George Carlin is even worse in that regard imho.

Patton Oswalt ruins everything he is in.

Unpopular opinion: Oswalt was a better RLM guest star than Culkin. Because he didn't overstay his welcome or shill any shitty websites.

I'm not actually sure how "unpopular" this is, but I very rarely see people rave about Boardwalk Empire's finale. I thought it was basically perfect and one of the best episodes of the show.

Early 2000's shows like the first season of Breaking Bad and the first three seasons of Dr. House which used really saturated colors and technology of the era are peak aesthetic. I want stuff like that back.

Like everything it's subjective based on taste but in my personal opinion it doesn't. I do not like the office and consider it to be incredibly obnoxious.

I really really do not like Michael and most of the other characters are boring (with the exception of Dwight, Creed, Stanley, Kevin, and post s3 Ryan). The comedy isn't that funny. The show's stories are boring.

It's a waste.

The Office is my favorite show, but it's incredibly overrated and I despise how popular it's become.

My tastes in TV are purposely bland. I have to turn my brain off sometimes and I don't want a show that's going to stress me out with suspense, complicated plotlines, et cetera - so The Office it is. Same reason I liked Big Bang Theory for a few seasons when I was younger.

It really is not worth all the ridiculous hype. It's just a safe harmless comedic show that isn't even that funny if you don't have an attachment to it.

Michael does leave, so if you hate him you might like the post-Michael seasons.
