The important part in my opinion is that Pakman's major strategy is dodging and reframing questions, so if you're in front of a more neutral audience then if you push him you might seem as unnecessarily aggressive and less reasonable. Why is it, then, that anybody takes them seriously as a news outlet when they themselves are LESS informed (be it through bias or incompetence) than non-journalists? Finding things out is literally their job!

Finding things out isn't most journalists' job now, if it ever was. Most journalists' job is to reinforce certain narratives while avoiding lying in such a direct and blatant way that they can legally be sued. That's what gets them paid.
