With all the "woke" crap being shoved into the media and education by scumbags in positions of power and influence, is it even possible that this Current Year "woke culture" will ever end? America has gone through a pendulum effect in the past, but is the pendulum stuck now? Is it always going to be Current Year?

I think we're in the back nine already. There's already counter-culture movement brewing. The media and the corporations will dump woke culture when the counter-culture becomes more profitable.

Personally, I never thought I'd live to see the day where being mildy conservative, believing in actual equality, being tolerant of the beliefs of others, and wanting peace and order would be counter culture... and now here we are.

I've also seen France or Germany frequently cited by these lunatics as some ultimate paradise they'd move to in the event Trump won and LITERAL NAZISM TOOK OVER THE U.S.!!!11

These same types are pro-anarchy, pro-communism/socialism, decry capitalism and claim America has "no culture" & is just "evil and working as it was built to," and yet hysterically and mind-bogglingly have ZERO understanding of politics, government, history, or even basic anthropology and sociology.

They like to think human beings are inherently good except for Mean Ol' Capitalism coming in to make everyone greedy and bad. They are, in short, delusional, and I think deep down they must know this, since as much as they gripe about America and how awful and "culture-less" it is, they sure do spend plenty of time taking advantage of every employment opportunity, freedom, event and purchase possible.

They are, simply, brainwashed, and I think it's getting worse lately. I don't think we'll see the end of SJW madness anytime soon, though at least Gen Z seems to be fairly conservative as a push-back, which gives me a droplet of hope (though honestly, with how things are going with social media making everyone more paranoid and autistic than ever...who knows at this point).

IMO conservatism has been countercultural since the 70s. It just used to take the form of groups that were easily dismissed, like skinheads or churches. The Left has had cultural hegemony for a very long time and only a new form of cultural diaspora (internet culture/internet media) broke the hold.

There was an article with a guy in Minneapolis who lives in a neighborhood that had rising crime prior to 2020 and was mugged at gunpoint recently by some blacks and told some journalists how guilty he felt when he called the police and how we need to abolish the police everywhere.

I think it will end IF Trump wins a second term this year.

That's the kind of thing that gets the bigwigs in power to realize their woke shit needs to go, especially with the economic damage the extended lockdowns have caused. If Biden wins, they'll keep backing the Woke Left since they got Trump out of power and will try to hammer the proverbial pendulum in place.

But if Trump wins despite the insanity of 2020, the pendulum will swing back hard as those in control will be forced to cut their losses and clean house. The ones in charge where it counts are not brainwashed and demoralized Core/Late Millennial and Early Zoomer zealots, they're just listening to the loudest voices in the room and are trying to get the orange man out of office.

If Trump wins despite this, they'll view that as a mandate and will adjust their strategy accordingly and the corona lockdowns only make this more likely given the financial losses a lot of these companies have been dealing with in 2020.
