Do you think their fanbase is braindead enough to let them get away with not addressing everything that's happened?
That's not a rhetorical question, I'm asking that sincerely. Even now, after all this shit that's happened in barely over a fucking WEEK, are RT fans really at the point of letting them get away with never addressing this? Because that would be fucking insane.
I'm honestly anticipating another Geoff-almost-crying-on-camera video. They always seem to pull him out for damage control, for some reason - I guess he's just got a sort of down homey charisma and empathetic way of speaking that the others can't really match. I can't imagine Matt or Gus even attempting something like this, Burnie already got the hell out of dodge (and clearly with good reason), and I don't think anyone would accept a discussion of this from anyone but Achievement Hunter (and maybe Meg due to her connection to Ryan?). I have no clue how they as a company are gonna come back from this. This is like the killing blow after years and years of taking a pummeling from one scandal after another.
I do think the fans will let this go if it means keeping the rest of AH going honestly. In their minds the twitter roasting would be enough. The girls themselves don't seem to want to pursue legal action and they're the ones with most of the power right now. They still love RT. Legal action would garner mainstream attention, it would force RT to make a statement confirming or denying the accusations against their former employee.
