The Abortion Debate Containment Thread - Put abortion sperging here.

I just can’t understand why someone would voluntarily remove their own child from the world rather than giving them a shot even if it’s without knowing them.
Because pregnancy and labor is super hard on the body. A lot of people in this thread don't realize just what it entails. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to go through all of that, only to give the kid up. At least the aborted embryo won't be in pain and won't know what's happening.

the progressive left is pushing for insane shit like abortion up to the time of birth.
Lol nobody's pushing for that. That is blatant fear mongering and hysteria perpetuated by right wing media.

Since you're the only pro-life woman who has chimed in here, you focus on your own bodily autonomy and let me focus on mine. Capisce?

Being a wage slave is also hard on the body, but that'll be my responsibility to my wife and children, won't it?

God forbid you have to do something hard as a result of your actions for the sake of others. Much easier to engage in self-worship and discount the humanity of anybody separate from you.

I beg your pardon?

And before you start,

The Democratic bill sought to allow for late-term abortions if the mother's physical or mental safety were at risk .

This cracks the allowance of the deed wide open, of course. The kind of doctor put on the spot to make this sign-off isn't trained to conduct an honest-to-God psychiatric assessment.

Since you're the only pro-life woman who has chimed in here, you focus on your own bodily autonomy and let me focus on mine.
...the entire point of your gatekeeping is to shut out dissent because your mind is too fragile to square up with opposing views, much less your actual ones.

It's the most worthless thing, too-- everyone here knows you don't give a solitary damn about bodily autonomy.

Did you even read the article that you posted? That's not even abortion. That's inducing labor so an already dying baby can die in peace.

And you don't have to squeeze an entire person out of a tiny hole during a life-threatening procedure, so fuck off with your "wage slave" bullshit.

Believing what the democrat proposers of a bill say in the aftermath is as retarded as believing republican "trickle down" of wealth.

It says what the bill does right in the lead in, as well as in the video.

It would make abortion up to birth legal, if a single doctor sign off that it would otherwise be bad mentally for the mother.

You can also read the proposed law changes here: https://legiscan.com/VA/text/HB2491/id/1840135

And when you do, you realize that what democrats said on this issue is just flat out a lie, and by extension, what you just said.

What part of allowing late-term abortion for mental reasons is "inducing labor so an already dying baby can die in peace?"

1) You cannot gatekeep with your uterus after telling another woman to mind her own business because she disagreed with you. We already know that the purpose behind you doing that isn't actually to restrict the conversation to "relevant parties", we already know you don't actually hold a "pro-choice" position, and we already know that you don't actually care about whether or not your interlocutors have the same genitalia as you if they disagree with you. You just want to feel like your opinions are validated without putting in the leg work to defend them, and you don't even present your actual opinions to defend.

2) If you're going to appeal to the fatality risk of childbirth (which is frankly infinitesimal in the U.S., at ~2% or less), shouldn't your gate be that you've actually given birth or are expecting? You don't have to get pregnant-- therefore, you don't have to "squeeze an entire person" out of your vagina. I have a feeling you'd be excluded under those standards, which is why this logical inconsistency exists.

3) The father, in the course of his work, takes various risks (in transportation, in overworking/being overworked, in innate occupational hazards, etc.) Again, I retort sarcastically, God forbid we do anything hard and not self-worship.

No physician worth his salt is going to recommend that a woman terminates her pregnancy in the 9th month because of her mental health. And fuck off with any mentions of Kermit Gosnell, because he's far from the norm. Goddamn, you all are fucking speds. Stop wringing your hands and actually fucking think.

Yeah there's lots of physicians not worth their salt and lots of politicians not worth theirs.
Why make laws to allow something you say will never happen? Why fight so hard for a right to do a thing you claim nobody ever does?

Look at you getting all flustered because your shitty arguments aren't half as clever as they sounded in your head.

Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

Yeah they absolutely would if there was money in it. Most people are not "worth their salt."

Because she's a childfree weirdo who desperately never wants to have children. Everything else is a post-hoc rationalization from this self-interested position.

Exactly.

This is a conversation about murdering your baby, not bodily autonomy. Your euphemisms have no power here.
And the pregnant woman's rights, both legally and morally, trump those of the embryo.
No one's rights trump the rights of anyone else. Ever.
My stance is that people should be more civil when discussing a heated issue like this. I can’t bring myself to negrate a lot of Pro-Choicers because at least when they say some things I disagree with here, well most things are disagreeable they’re still being the more reasonable side.
I don't see how they're being reasonable at all. They categorically refuse to say anything even remotely reasonable. Civility can go fuck itself until they learn to argue in good faith.

I genuinely don't understand why negrating some homo's posts for being a faggot is banworthy but whatever man. Jannies gonna jan.
I liked it when @snailslime did it, but that was more shotgun style and caused people to act dumb, which was funny.

You were letting some egirls bait you. Don't make it so easy for them, eh?

Just make post-birth abortion legal as long as the mother's husband or father or other patriarch agrees.

Once again, I must remind you @Erischan that a fetus is not a legal person. Therefore, the mother's rights do trump it. Sorry.
That is a fault in the law. The law is failing to recognize a person as a person. In actual reality, in the moral truth of the matter, your rights do not trump his. Rights are moral truths, not legal constructions. Your rights are not manufactured in washington. If they say you don't have a right which you do, they are wrong. If they say your rights trump another's, they are wrong.

Just saying "it's legal currently" in an argument about whether something should be legal or not is shockingly low IQ.

I love that I'm being called a weirdo by a fucking weeb.

He's just mad because his mom and dad won't let him have girls from his autism social group over, so he takes it out on the people who can get laid.

Also I know the real reason why he got banned. It's pretty autistic and has nothing to do with stickers lol

I got banned for saying "ok lol" to null after he removed my sticker permissions. He was in a bad mood I guess lol.
It's telling that both of you replied to me with nonsense insults, ignoring any substance in my post as always. I see you still haven't found the balls to actually argue anything.
