I was a soft Never Trumper in 2016 and nothing has made me a supporter of him more than the media's behavior becoming as disgustingly blatant as it has under him.
Not to mention their constant fear-mongering and wanting to crash the economy and burn the nation down just so Trump won't win re-election. Nothing has driven me right faster than the Democratic Party's/left's behavior and rhetoric these last four years.

These are not people I want in power.

Same.

I was a Never Trumper in 2015-early 2016. I was like "Well, he acts like a petulant child, and I certainly don't want him as POTUS ... But his candidacy is forcing all of the GOP to finally talk about illegal immigration, so I'm glad he's in the mix." Then, in March 2016, Trump had to cancel one of his rallies because of riots in Chicago; people were literally blocking highways to prevent people from going to the rally. And the mainstream media's reaction to it was like "well, that's what you get for being racist!"

It certainly made me sympathize with Trump and his supporters. I've always been more right-leaning, but that day in March 2016 was what one would call a "redpill" moment for me; I realized just how far the left was willing to go and how looney they've become. That day was also the moment where I made the early prediction that Trump was going to win it all. I will never forget the faces I would get when I told people my prediction before he got the nomination. And, on a side note, I distinctly remember telling people a week before the election that Hillary would only win the popular vote, and yes, I was met with those same weird looks that implied that I was crazy. I just felt that something was happening; the media and the DNC's visceral reaction to Trump's campaign gave me the feeling that he was a force to be reckoned with and not the joke candidacy that everyone was saying.

I'm still pissed about not putting money on 2016 election by the way, haha.

I was like this too. I didn't vote for Trump in 2016 because I hated his rhetoric and I was concerned that the constant insults he threw at others and his disregard for politeness towards candidates made me concerned we would be lead to an even worse war than the "War On Terrorism" of the 2000s. I also believed the narrative that he was a racist as his "Mexicans are rapists" comments put me off, especially as someone who was once far more left-leaning. Of course I disliked Hillary even more given how corrupt she was, Sanders being rigged out of the nomination (who I wanted), and being IMO an Obama 2.0 (and Obama disappointed me). I also believed the media was being fair towards being harsh on him though complained they weren't tough enough on Clinton.

Then Trump won and it totally shocked me since I expected Clinton to get the nomination. I then decided "he'll probably suck ass, but I'll give him a chance" and he has blown my expectations out of the water. He's finally getting our troops out of Afghanistan (a years long effort), he killed Al-Baghdadi and Soleimani, we saw the best economy since the late 1960s prior to coronavirus, he made three peace deals, ended the Korean War, and actually stood up to China. That, and along with me being fed up with the TDS and SJWism I saw everything and I made up my mind last year that I would vote for him.

Speaking of, I just went and walked like a mile and a half to do early voting today. I live in a deep red county of a light red state so make of this what you will.

I don't believe that signs are indicative of who will win since those are based purely on anecdotes, but I saw a Biden sign while walking to the poll booth halfway through. Once I got to the building to vote, I saw three more Biden-Harris signs and four Trump 2020 signs. The Trump signs were either by itself or had "Keep America Great" below it. Finally as I walked back home, I saw a massive Trump 2020 sign that I had just coincidentally not seen.

At the poll booth, the line was super short; wait was less than five minutes. Keep in mind I live in a small city. Most of the poll workers were women. I saw a man at a polling booth, but most were women and it was pretty spacious so I just put my ballot in, voted straight ticket, and then put it through. It puts a smile to my face knowing that for the first time, my vote may help decide the course of this country for decades to come.

I can tell you for sure, the Korean War is still on like its 1950.

I was always pretty right-leaning too, but 2016 was the perfect timing for me to have gotten completely disillusioned with the Romney-McCain Neocon GOP. I didn't take Trump seriously at all and was convinced 2016 was going to be a Jeb Bush vs Hillary Clinton 'showdown' that Clinton would of course handily win and ascend to her rightful throne (and I'm sure TPTB wanted exactly that), so Trump winning first the nomination and then the actual election was a not altogether unpleasant surprise for me. The slow boil of unhinged behavior from the Left and then the Kavanaugh circus and the 'very fine people' hoax finally broke me.

Living in a blue county near the edge of a red county in a deep blue state I've seen a shocking amount of open Trump support, we even had a relatively big truck rally for him nearby last weekend. Some counter protesters showed up to wave BLM and other RACISM BAD signs but they were pretty outnumbered and the whole thing was pretty civil in the end. The amount of Biden signs I've seen I can count on one hand. Now statewide for me at least, this all means absolutely nothing (though still I do hope the popular vote for Trump is run up higher at least), but we'll see this election if Love really does trump Hate. Just not in the way the people who thought up that utter banality intended.

GOP should have forced primaries in all 50 states. At rate Trump was going, over at least 20 million votes and maybe even 25 million. The last two incumbents were in the 8 million to 9 million range. If elections followed the math, Trump will probably get over 80 million votes if Obama in 2008 got 17.5 million in the primaries and 68 million in the general.

I know it's cheating to post CNN, but this shit is getting ridiculous...
And of course there's no news on the Biden scandal.

Besides the two videos above, today's news highlights are a plot to kidnap the Governor of Virginia and how with a prepared speech (not like she's asking actual questions) Kamala Harris destroyed ACB on a topic. And right now on Don Lemon, he's talking about Obama coming on the trail for Joe, and how Trump made those birtherism remarks... and Drumpf is a big, fat racist for the nth time.

These people are nuts.

The calls were made to cancel those primaries last summer, so over a year ago. At that time no one knew he would be putting up and even shattering Reagan like numbers. It was more important for state parties to not waste money on formalities and also discourage primary challenges which might hurt him in the general. It was a logical and reasonable judgment to make and I don't fault them for it.

I'm skeptical of Trump beating out Biden when it comes to the popular vote, but I could see Trump get closer to Biden than with Clinton if he manages to somehow eek out a comfortable win with battleground margins larger than 2016. I'd always advise people to vote even if they are certain their preferred candidate will lose. That's because a vote could push a state right (or left for those into leftist politics) and could indicate that a state that was previously safe for a political party might be competitive for an opposite party. That or it's an opportunity to get House and Senate seats, win Governor races, win local seats, etc. A vote is so powerful because it shows a desire for long-term political or cultural changes, not just electing who the president is.

I am amazed at the amount of enthusiasm I am seeing for Trump compared to Biden. A double digit lead for Trump is big because an extremely enthusiastic base will almost certainly vote while a moderately interested or apathetic base that might be larger may see a lot of its people stay home. I'm with you on this election being a litmus test to if love truly does trump hate.

I've never seen memory-holing THIS blatant.

There are four mentions of Biden when searching the front page with Ctrl+F:
  • Biden announces record $383 million fundraising haul for September
  • Biden campaign releases ad featuring George Floyd's sister
  • Biden is no friend to Maduro
  • The original 'Hamilton' cast will reunite to host a virtual fundraiser for Joe Biden
They didn't even bother putting a rebuttal column. Just pretending that the Hunter story never happened.

Warm smell of the Big Macs, rising up through the air.

Up ahead in the distance, I saw a Red Glowing Light. My head grew heavy and my sight was dim. I had to stop for the night.

There he stood in the doorway, I heard the MAGA yell. I was thinking to myself, I wonder, could this just be hell?

Then he lit up his Twitter, and he showed me the way. There were voices up the fort tower. Thought I heard them say!

Welcome to the Hotel Trumpifornia! Such a winning place, such a winning place, such a MAGA face.

Plenty of room at the Hotel Trumpifornia! Any time of year, you can find cash here!

His mind is typically twisted! He's got the 3 SCOTUS scoops. And got a lot of crazy, crazy foes, that call him poop. How they whine on the Media, sweet swampy sweat. Some whine for attention, some whine to whore it! So I called up the opposition, please give me some news, he said. "We havent had any good since, I beat that Bernie Jew". And still those voices are calling from far away.

Wake you up in the middle of the night, just to hear them say! Hay!

Were Draining the Swamp at the Hotel Trumpifornia! What an October Surprise. When Bidens UKr Alibi's a lie!!!!

Eric's on the ceiling. Ivanka's on ice. She said, we are all just businessmen here. On our own advice. In the CEO's Chamber. They gathered for the Covid Chat. They stab it with their steely stimuli but they just cant kill the Bat!

Last thing I remember, I was voting in the poll. I had to find the solution back to the place we were before. Relax said the POTUS, we are programmed to be pleased. You can have Venezuela if you like, but you just cant say no to me!"

I gave you an autistic sticker, but like a friendly one because I appreciate the effort you put into it.

Back on topic, will be curious to see if Fox goes ham on Hunter B.(Greatest Rapper Alive) and makes a circus out of it like any of the Trump "scandals".

Obama is coming back and Hunter is going give Fox News a giant justice boner.

I've been saying it for years on end, and predicted the same for the 2018 Midterms. In each case people here have disagreed, which is of course fine, but in the case of 2018 I was proven completely correct. The reason for this disclaimer is that I don't "Doompost" without cause.

For a long list of reasons, Trump's first term has been a failure. Not necessarily to the US itself, inherently, or in other words for foreign policy, jobs, economy etc. typical issues that a president would have to worry about. No, the reason that it was a failure was that he failed to root out or combat in any way the growing Commie / Far Left / Deep State powers that are taking down the nation with them. Especially Big Tech. They said openly in 2016 that they'd never let Trump win again, then ever since they've been openly working towards that goal. Trump beyond Tweeting that he dislikes this, did nothing to stop this. (Which is especially ironic because now Twitter likes to openly shit on his Tweets, and he can do nothing about it) And some of that, especially in relation to the indoctrination of the young has come to surface this year. When the Portland et all Communist riots began, I said the authorities would side with, and not against them. People here laughed at me, again, and were wrong to do so, again.

The point of that paragraph is that the powers that be have turned enough people against Trump and sanity in general, that Trump is by far on track to lose. And a ton of the reasoning as to why that won't happen sounds identical to 2018 reasoning. ("No Democrats will not retake the House, because they've gone too far Left, Polls are Fake, 2016 though, etc.)

Not only do I think Trump will lose, I think the US will enter an era of significant and irreversible stagnation. In 2016 (on another account with a similar name, on this Forum, maybe some of you know it, forgot the password during one of the forum resets) I said Trump had to fix the US from top to bottom and that this was a huge task. If he'd fail, all of the underlying problems would come to Roost, and be unstoppable very soon. That time is now.

If Trump loses then America deserves to burn and White America deserves to get blacked hard by Kamala Harris.

I mean at that point, God will give nations the leaders they truly deserve.

EDIT: This election is giving me 2012 vibes where Obama lost a lot of his shine after the 2010 midterms. Obama went on to win in the end thanks to black voter turnout to compensate for whites disillusioned by him.

I felt that Obama was going to lose as I was a Democrat back then. The 2018 midterms was not a blue wave that stop Trump from doing more in the last two years.

As for the deep state, pray the GOP has some Colonel Kurtz in stock to start the fire.

I dunno, I do think Trump was trying to fight back and drain the swamp but for most of his first term, the GOP were hostile and refused to collaborate with him until after 2018. The Dems retaking the House, John McCain's death, and the Brett Kavanaugh hearings illustrated just how bad things were with the DNC.

I'm not sure if Trump or Biden will win at this point and either way, it's going to be close. I know a lot of us are putting too much stock into the "polls are wrong" mindset but there's two wildcard factors in 2020 that weren't in 2018: COVID-19 and the BLM Coup

The former is the one card the Biden campaign has to use against Trump with any hope of effectiveness but with Trump recovering from it quickly and people wanting a return to normalcy and not the "New Normal" of eternal lockdowns, Anarcho-Tyranny, and severe economic decline.

To be honest, I even think a lot of Democrat voters hate the lockdowns and mask laws but they direct their anger at Trump instead and the masks at this point are just a virtue signal to signify their love of Science!

The latter works a lot more in Trump's favor. The Left actually has gone far and crossed the Rubicon with the George Floyd riots and with Trump presenting himself as a law and order candidate and even issuing executive orders like banning Critical Theory/Intersectionality from federal government training programs and the DOJ and DHS's crackdowns on Antifa, that could work in his favor.

The Democrats will go above and beyond to do voter fraud and fix the election to get a Kamala presidency but if the vote margins for Trump are too big in certain states, they'll have to concede and focus on the 2022 and 2024 elections. Hopefully, Barrett can get confirmed before the election

This is going to be a very tense election and the outcomes will be extremely close anyway you slice it. IF we get a reelection of Trump, then things might get better and the GOP will be more cooperative.

You got it close enough that I heard the whole thing in Glenn Frey's voice and errythang. 10/10, would listen to this cover.

I don't like posting without contributing something, so I'll just say--

I've been grilling the fam about signage in TX, and so far I think we have a total of 6 Biden signs vs. about 50 or so Trump flags/signs. This is in the general Austin area and extending out to San Antonio. (Admittedly, someone did report seeing a few more Biden signs in SA proper, but they couldn't give me a number).

Fam in NC tell me that even in the areas they know are liberal Trump signs outnumber Biden signs. This is from people who've lived there for several decades, so I trust their read when they say they have a hard time seeing NC going for Biden.

I like the direction this thread went in for a hot minute there, because dealing with the SocJus types in college pushed me onto the Trump Train and it's always nice to know that I'm riding with other people who would probably be Dems if the Dem party hadn't gone legitimately off the deep end.

Obama and Hillary got the youth and black out.

Now it's just up to the rest of us to do our part! :deagle::deagle::deagle::deagle:

It won't ultimately matter. Reaganomics was a specific supply-side economic theory; MAGANomics is just Trump talking points, which are basic bitch economic nationalism from 60-80 years ago. Maybe the label leads to word association with Reaganomics, but there's no relation otherwise.

I don't think anyone is voting for Trump because of his comprehensive economic theory, they vote for specific things (pro-tarriff, anti-NAFTA, pro-fracking, etc). If he can get the word out on those topics, great, but I don't think that's the decision gap going on in the race right now. People are making up their mind based on Covid, the riots, and lockdowns.

WRONG.

MAGAnomics is a very rigidly defined, comprehensive, and complex approach to handling the economy of the world's largest consumer market:

American-made goods are good! Sell, sell, sell!

The more you sell, the more you produce. The more you produce, the more you make. The more you make, the more you expand. The more you expand, the more you spend.

Money circulates, and prosperity flows. People need to stop valuing disposable consumer products simply because they're cheap. You get what you pay for.

Here's a fun game, look at the YouTube comments sections for any Trump ad that reaches multiple millions of views, such as this one:

What you're most likely to see is:

  • Comments saying the ad's quality is low (I don't know why, it seems pretty ok to me)
  • Comments complaining about the ad's fearmongering tone (which is pretty hilarious, considering)
  • Comments about the state of the comment section
  • Comments about the "horror movie trailer" vibe of the ad (which ties into the fearmongering tone)
  • Comments complaining that the ad is "childish" or otherwise "unpresidential"
  • General political argument autism (if you go far enough down)
And I don't know why, but I just can't shake off the feeling that most of these comments come from people too young to vote, bots, or Twitter leftists who won't vote anyway.

As an aside, Trump videos with below a million views general have much more positive comment sections.

Don't forget the foreigners.

Also, note how that ad is just 30 seconds long. The exact length for a TV commercial. All those lefties laughing and talking about how pathetic that ad is are missing the point entirely. Just because this was dumped onto the internet doesn't mean the internet is the intended audience. This is clearly directed squarely at voters 50+.
