This thread here is a very deep dive into Section 230's language, effects on the internet, and relevance to this site, featuring many debates by Null himself on the topic. Long and short is that it exempts websites from civil liability for whatever it's users say. For example, I can call Ethan Ralph a meth-head shithuffing pedophile and Null wouldn't bear any repercussions for it. As of now, the content of posts is the sole responsibility of the user. Trump hangs a repeal over Twitter's head as leverage to keep them from fucking his tweets and that's about it.

Ralph, however, is retarded as usual - because if 230 were repealed he'd still have no claim against this thread. Why? Because truth is the ultimate defense against defamation, and if he didn't want to be known as a pill-popping child groomer he shouldn't have been one in the first place.
