The thing is Sargon is right about LGBTQ+. Gay rights is one thing. LGBT is something else. Gay rights was about the right not to get beaten up when you walk home from a gay club. Once the T was added to LGBT it turned into this insane movement where you got canceled for misgendering or deadnaming or describing sexual preferences as preferences. Or questioning the wisdom of hormone blockers for children. It's no longer about the LGB or even the T. It's a stick to beat anyone who isn't a far-left ideologue into silence with. And then you add in the Q+ so gender special leftists can be part of the movement and can get you fired for not calling them zxem or zxir.
I'd say what's wrong with the "LGBTQ" movement is exactly what's wrong with Southern Poverty Law Center. When you set up a business model around "fighting bigotry" you achieve legal equality and mainstream social acceptance, your business becomes mostly obsolete. This means you can either downsize drastically and accept that you're going to have a lot less money going in, or you can become a shit stirrer who starts manufacturing enemies to fight. When people's jobs are on the line and a McDonald's cash register is calling, many of them will throw all basic decency out the window.

Sargon ain't as bad as many portray him (despite some cowish moments he's had) and seeing people melting over his commentaries and trying to deny reality has been amazing. He even put Vernaculis, who's somehow reasonable, in full "ACSHUALLY" mood. Let's not even talk about Jeff Holiday.
Carl's got delusions of grandeur. In 2016 he targeted the absolute lowest-hanging fruit and was compared to a philosopher god-king for it.
Shoe did the same thing. Both were attacking Blue-hairs and retarded fringe ideologues quite lucratively.
The difference, though, is Shoe's relevance waned steadily after Trump's election, and I think much of that was lack of enthusiasm for making content. We know from her texts that she feels constricted not doing what she wants to do, but trying to cater to as many fans as possible, and we all know that a product designed to appeal to everybody is gonna really appeal to nobody, least of all the creator.
Carl, meanwhile, continued his schtick, and developments like Brexit emboldened him to try and break out IRL. You know where he stands on stuff because he dives headfirst in and lets the chips fall where they may. He single-handedly killed the UKIP political party last year. His antics killed it stone dead. That's a feat, but on the internet front he persevered with attacking low-hanging fruit in his signature smug way.

Say whatever you want about Carl, I've not watched him in years, but he has one thing Shoe doesn't, and that's a work ethic. This has stood to him because he's able to retain an audience that mostly agrees with him or agrees enough to hang around through thick and thin. His bursts of mania are chaotic and entertaining, but he has such a sheer ocean of content that you can't deny his default attitude is confident and self-assured. If he was born 20 years earlier I'm sure he would've been hosting a radio show instead.
He continued with this output and laughed at the SJW's culture war even though they continued to win on every meaningful front, bar Trump's victory. By remaining steadfast in his own ideas you'd think Gamergate only happened last month to him, but this huge flaw, his refusal to evolve such ideas, means he'll always grow at his own speed. He's not beholden to his subscribers, or other personalities, or sleepwalk into extremism, very basic things that doomed many of the old Gamergate millieu.
Meanwhile, Shoe holds neither the work ethic nor the spine. She's a lot more deferential to other e-celeb's impressions on things, and generally produces content to please-- her work was never news-focused, always comedy.
This means even if she had a spine, her content format discouraged demonstrating it, and now we have a situation where two personalities, both really getting their big breaks in 2014 with Gamergate, are n completely different trajectories.
Sargon is a thinker, but also an occasional doer. His actions tend to be highly flammable and outright disastrous most often, but at least its something. Mayber one day it'll pay dividends, but he's getting recognition if not for the diligence of targeting the low-hanging fruit.
Shoe, meanwhile, is not a doer. She's a critic, or a comic, whichever means less work. She shies away from principled stands or action, because it'd mean standing for something without a shield of irony to hide behind. This has left her ideologically adrift, not truly standing for anything.

Whereas Sargon has his pole in the ground regardless of victories or defeats, Shoe is a chameleon, blending in with whoever or whatever is fashionable at the time, and given the environment isn't something real like the film industry, or congress, or business, but a niche Youtube/Twitter e-celeb community, I find that strategy exceptionally pathetic.

What's weird is that for all of Carl's buffoonery, he still goes on. You could say he does that because there's nothing else for him, but neither is there anything for Shoe.

Come to think of it, Carl and Dankula probably have the best work ethics of anybody from the GamerGate generation, especially when compared to a certain suitless Minnesotan that BTFO'd Carl awhile back....

To be fair, Jim literally has cancer that makes everything, including eating, a chore.

Remember, 18 months ago the only news headlines UKIP got in the run-up to the European elections was the PR calamity Carl created, where he said he 'wouldn't even rape' a prominent female Labour MP, and then refused to apologize, yelling that she was 'a giant bitch' in the middle of a party event full of press, and while standing right beside the UKIP leader.
It was a total lolcow moment, mainly because he learned the wrong lessons from Farage and Trump. They would have never apologized, sure, but they refuse to apologize because it immunises them to concern trolling by the media class, and would never have unneccesarily attacked an MP like that unless there was guaranteed hay to be made from the fireworks.
Unsurprisingly, he failed to get elected, and went back to his youtube stuff. As you say, doing stuff in the normal world isn't an option, but there's a parallel universe out there where Carl, by virtue of running for a position and getting such a (loathed) high profile, somehow wins a seat and gets great opportunities out of it.
He didn't seem to learn a thing from his public self-immolation, but given his audience, does he really have to? 80% of victory is turning up, and Sargon turns up whether you want him there or not. One day it might pay off, whereas Shoe runs away from commitment,
Again, I'm by no means rooting for him, but with his output, there's at least a chance the Sargon brand could evolve into something professional, maybe a TYT-style network for 50 year old Carl to manage while Zoomer reactionaries become the new face of the platform.
Meanwhile with Shoe, there's really no path of progression, and even if she made at least a video a week the audience she chases doesn't want her opinions, they want an acolyte

His work ethic also makes him a lolcow since his persistence on with dumb ideas lead to moments like Gamergate 2 and UKIPs 2018 downturn. Jim maybe suitless, but he still knows when to back out. Might be part of why Shoe is listed on his ED page as a fangirl.

One thing that occurred to me about Shoe is that even though her content seems to be political it's not, really. It's always about being the mean girl who calls out people and gets them kicked out of the clique. So back in her old 'anti-SJW' days it was about calling out people like Milo Stewart to the applause of the skeptics. Now it's about calling out skeptics to the applause of people like Vaush.

There was a very revealing conversation between Jeff and Melody Holliday about Milo. Melody said that he wasn't keen on calling out Milo because his 'paternal instincts' were kicking in. In retrospect it's more likely he just wanted to fuck Milo. His paternal instincts didn't kick in when it came to bullying RageAfterStorm off the Internet.

People like Jeff and Shoe will always end up on the identitarian left because it gives them a toolset for bullying people and rewards them both financially and socially for using that toolset. Or the identitarian right I suppose but definitely not in the center, where being a bully is seen as being a bad thing and bullying people for clout and superberries when you don't even believe in the politics is seen as being even worse.

People like them will always end up on the identitarian left because that side doesn't require any minimal standards and everybody is just fine the way they are, even if they achieve absolutely nothing in life. Their side advocates for the government to just give you money for existing, come on. I don't know about Jeff, but I'm sure Shoe would like to live in society™ where the government won't let her starve once the YouTube money is gone. Or worst, that her "market socialism" ideas will make Google send her monthly checks even after she stops making videos due to all the work she did for them (I mean, she already thinks she's part of YouTube).

Given how few and far between the videos are, Shoe's been living on a type of UBI for about 6 years now. All Yang was offering her was the simp-free package.
Somebody on the Presidential Election thread noted that the fundamental flaw conservative arguments always hold is they're promoting messages people don't want to hear.
You need to work hard to succeed, self-reliance is daunting but rewarding, other people shouldn't pick up the pieces for your poor choices in life, etc.

The hard left doesn't have ANY standards whatsoever. They defended all those horrible people who tried to kill Kyle Rittenhouse. Each one committed cardinal sins on a moral and soc-jus level (women-beating, misogyny, theft, intimidation, using the N-word) but all that got memory-holed after the fact-- shit the people marching alongside them didn't appear to mind at the time!
Provided you play along with the proscribed hymn sheet, you're golden. They'll back you no matter what, and it's strange Shoe hasn't copped on to this considering jokes she made 6 years ago are enough to blacklist her in perpetuity no matter how hard she ingratiates herself to the cause today.
She made that whole HellWorld video, apparently cognitively dissonant to this reality.
