Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but what the hell is going with California right now? Why are so many people leaving, especially those in LA? I say this because one of my favorite youtubers (Geography Now) has put out a video on it and I got sucked into the "Leaving California" rabbithole.

The state is self-destructing itself so the lefty hoards are forced to flee and subsequently infect red states of course. Like a fucking Cordyceps fungus exploding its spores to find new hosts.
This is one of the most accurate depictions of Californians that I've seen.
A lot of non-Americans, and even a bunch of Americans, don't actually realize how big California is. It's better to think of it as its own country rather than a state like Kansas or something. Thinking of it that way, you can think of the Californian exodus not just like people moving from state-to-state, but as similar to mass migration in terms of the movement of wealth and culture.

Some comparisons:
  • The GDP of California is equivalent to that of the UK
  • The population of California is greater than the entire population of Canada
  • California is 20,000 square miles larger than all of Japan
Also, check this out re: culture - The Invisible Borders That Define American Culture

You are right. Someone in the USA is going to be murdered for not wearing a mask, it is just a matter of time.
There have already been at least three violent deaths in Michigan alone allegedly owing to mask disputes, albeit not your exact scenario.

One Flint security guard allegedly murdered for telling a woman that her daughter needed to wear a mask in a dollar store. Multiple suspects were taken into custody (archive, A&N thread).
One Grand Ledge man shot by police, died in surgery, after allegedly stabbing another man in a mask dispute (archive). The other man died of his wounds some time later (article).

My guess - they are hoping for a Federal bailout. Fuck that and fuck them, all of them. Not one Federal penny to bail these bastards out, and I say that as someone who lives in CA.

This is absolutely what they're doing. It's probably why Pelosi is losing her shit about the GOP refusing her 3.4 Trillion bill. She's trying to funnel money to these financially irresponsible Dem run states before the declining tax receipts from the lockdowns completely fuck them over. I'm pretty sure that's one of the reasons DeWine keeps trying to justify keeping Ohio locked down, he's using Federal money to shore up parts of the state budget. Of course, there's no real reason to keep Ohio in a state of emergency any more, so he sounds more and more like a crazed mask cultist with every news conference. It would be funny if it wasn't fucking over the state for no reason, but what can you expect from Kasich's boys?

Catching a bit of the NC gubernatorial debate this evening, the main topic was the WuFlu and the state's slow process of reopening. The Democrat incumbent, Roy Cooper, kept using the fear of the virus along with repeating the "wear a mask" mantra to insinuate his Republican challenger, Dan Forest, is going to kill more North Carolina residents. The two political sides on Twitter have set their viewpoints: Forest supporters said Roy came off as emotional and passive-aggressive while Cooper's base said his passionate performance showed he cares about his constituents unlike the science denier, Dan Forest.

What has pissed me off in these past few months is that now with medical professionals slowly walking back the mortality rate of the Chinese Communist Virus along with the lockdowns, no major media outlet will hold them accountable or apologize for the part they played in this hysteria. The whole has been politicized to the point where this Mark Twain quote sums it up best: "It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled."

Whitmer had been wanting Federal gibs, but the state legislature somehow managed to present a balanced budget for 2020-21 with the 2021-22 budget being the biggest concern as the impact of having less tax revenues this year will be felt the most then. I imagine the hope is Biden will win and give states blank checks that will undoubtedly be spent on anything but stuff affected by COVID.

Yeah. The sheer hatred now shown towards people who don't agree with the rules for allegedly causing the rise in positive tests is ridiculous. People are really whipped into a frenzy, I wouldn't be surprised if some of these hystericals won't start attacking people not wearing masks in public.
Getting there. Bonus antisemitism too.

Computing Forever with ... yeah.

Know why everyone keeps saying "Build Back Better?" How we all laughed cause it was supposed to be Biden stealing yet another speech? Nope. It's a planned effort to reset the world's economy. "The Great Reset" and "The Fourth Industrial Revolution."

Which basically means we all become bugmen.

They tried once with Bird Flu. It failed. They tried again with Swine Flu. It failed. Now they're trying with Bat Flu, and it's working.

... Why are they all 3 animal diseases?

... Why are they all 3 animal diseases?
Because the next pandemic would inevitably come from an animal vector as it has so many times in the past. Like the Spanish flu was a bird flu.

"The Great Reset" is their way of moving on to the next era in human history and destroying the post-WWII era with its unprecedented prosperity and equality. An actual WWIII was too dangerous and unpredictable (since it would almost certainly just end up in every major city destroyed and nothing gained) so they chose the easiest way of getting a similar opportunity to restructure the economy by manufacturing fear and panic over an emergent disease which is little worse than the flu. Minimal casualties (it's the opposite of a war which kills the young and useful), maximum panic, maximum manufactured emergency.

And it's worked magnificently. The middle class is decimated and we have a huge transfer of wealth to the billionaire oligarchs in charge of the global economy. This is great for them because they can keep hammering on about the "inequality" line and say how we need the "Green New Deal" to solve this problem they created. Of course, they don't ever mean to solve inequality since no matter how solar panels they build, everyone but the global elite is meant to be a serf kept subsisting on government handouts until they die.

Taiwanese man contracts coronavirus in China, despite 'zero' case claims
Taiwan's Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) on Tuesday (Oct. 13) announced one new imported case of Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) from communist China, the source of the pandemic.

During a press conference on Tuesday, CECC Spokesman Chuang Jen-hsiang (莊人祥) announced one imported coronavirus infection, raising the total number of cases in Taiwan to 530. The latest case, Case No. 530, is a Taiwanese man in his 40s who went to work in Jiangsu, China, in February and returned to Taiwan on Oct. 11.

The CECC stated that on Oct. 1, China's National Day, the man began to experience a runny nose and sputum. He did not seek local medical treatment and purchased over-the-counter medication for his symptoms.

In addition, two of his coworkers also experienced cold-like symptoms and eschewed medical attention in favor of taking store-bought medication. On Oct. 11, he took a flight to Taiwan for a vacation.

When he arrived in Taiwan that day, he told quarantine officers that he was suffering from a cough, runny nose, and nasal congestion. Quarantine staff administered a test for COVID-19 on the man before dispatching him to his quarantine location.

On Oct. 13, he tested positive for the virus and was placed in a hospital isolation ward. The CECC said that the health unit has identified 17 people who came in contact with the man during his flight to Taiwan, including 10 passengers who sat in the rows directly in front of and behind him, as well as seven crew members.

The 10 passengers were told to begin home isolation, while the seven crew members, who did not enter the country, were asked to start self-health monitoring as they had been deemed to have been wearing adequate protective equipment.

Chuang said that the Ct value from the patient's polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test is low at 26, indicating that he was infected recently while in China. Case No. 530 is Taiwan's first confirmed imported coronavirus infection from China since Feb. 6 of this year, over eight months ago.

Despite the fact that the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic originated in China, its vast size, and huge population, the communist regime claimed that it had gone 57 days without a single local infection since Aug. 15, before finally acknowledging 12 local cases on Oct. 11. As was the case in previous outbreaks in Xingjiang, Beijing, Yunnan, Wuhan, and Jilin since the original epidemic, China has announced it will test nine million in the affected region, yet the results of such tests are never released in detail and positive cases are rarely if ever announced.

China's statistics on its confirmed coronavirus cases and deaths have been placed under much doubt as they have been suspiciously low for such a populous country, currently in 49th place behind Portugal and ahead of Ethiopia. The speed with which China went from initially announcing human-to-human transmissions on Jan. 20 to declaring "zero" local infections on March 19 also raises many questions about the authenticity of China's reporting.

Prior to the latest outbreak in Qingdao, many experts questioned the wisdom of China's decision to unleash 600 million tourists during its Golden Week with the pandemic raging. The infection of the Taiwanese man on China's National Day could indicate many other infections may also be taking place, including in areas not recently having been reported as having active outbreaks, such as Jiangsu Province.

Taiwan's CECC on Monday did not announce any new reports of people with suspected symptoms. Since the outbreak began, Taiwan has carried out 97,166 COVID-19 tests, with 96,055 coming back negative.

Out of the 530 confirmed cases, 438 were imported, 55 were local, 36 came from the Navy's "Goodwill Fleet," and one was the unresolved case of a Belgian engineer who arrived in early May to work on a wind farm project in Changhua County. Up until now, seven individuals have succumbed to the disease, while 489 have been released from hospital isolation, leaving 34 patients still undergoing treatment in Taiwan.

Has anyone else heard that the governors get $50 million from the feds each time they renew their emergency powers? It has been a talking point on Governor Walz’s Twitter and he allegedly said this was the case in a press conference, but I have not been able to confirm.

Wuflu pandemic: OH SHIT OH GOD IT'S LITERALLY JUDGEMENT DAY CLOSE EVERYTHING GOVERNEMENTS DID YOU SEE THE STATS IT'S AS LETHAL AS ANTHRAX FUCKFUCKCUDKFUC

Flu Season hitting: you're worried about that? What do you mean I have more chances of getting it and being bed-ridden? lol eat vitamins you nerd.

It's been a while since I dropped in this thread to grab info (+1000 pages of shit) but stats and the mystery around Wuflu deaths suggest to me that this is probably the weakest virus in history to have a contingency state on. Can anyone confirm if I can call governmental fuckery on this or if I was wrong for tinfoiling around irl these past months?
