Computing Forever with ... yeah.

Know why everyone keeps saying "Build Back Better?" How we all laughed cause it was supposed to be Biden stealing yet another speech? Nope. It's a planned effort to reset the world's economy. "The Great Reset" and "The Fourth Industrial Revolution."

Which basically means we all become bugmen.

They tried once with Bird Flu. It failed. They tried again with Swine Flu. It failed. Now they're trying with Bat Flu, and it's working.

... Why are they all 3 animal diseases?
The conspiracy theorist in me agrees with @Save the Loli but I also think it's because it's convenient. People are unfamiliar with animal diseases so it's easier for people to hype up animal diseases as new and scary. Comparing Corona-chan to the flu would make people less scared of it, since people are already familiar with flu.
Also, this video makes me mad. I'm at the Boris Johnson part and want to punch that dude in the face. Brits, how has this man not been jumped yet?

There are people out there getting more paranoid, not less, as this thing goes on. I glanced at the facebook today and saw a post calling out some lady in town for being out in her yard without a mask. There were a lot of comments agreeing, saying that the lady was a monster. wtf These are people I know saying this shit. Why.
Another person I know seemed genuinely concerned that I should get tested even though I know I'm sick and I recognise the symptoms. The reason they want me to go expose medical professionals to my Covid-having self? So I'll know if I'm better so I can leave my house. (Nevermind I would also end up being germy around whoever I got to drive me to the medical pros, since I'm not well enough to operate machinery, even a car.)

I just heard on the radio today that people are freaked out about the idea of giving CPR because of the fucking coof. Fuck this Earth.
That's why they were murdering people in NYC early on, prematurely hooking them up to vents, refusing to give them CPAP or even nebulizers, rolling the elderly and disabled who needed CPR into another room to die when they were busy. This was all in the NYT. The medical staff was afraid of getting the coof.

Seems like the apple doesn't far from the tree when it comes to Gavin Newsom. This is what happens when you let Baltimore politics out of its containment zone.

Let people die to prevent the possible chance of maybe spreading a disease that might could possibly kill someone.
>COVID-19 Gaslighting

A major element of Gaslighting is the intentional effort to make the target question their own sanity and delegitimize them in the eyes of others. Gaslighting isn't just "no u lie!!1", its "What? You didn't turn the light off, you left it on!" when you know damn well they turned the light off, and YOU turned it back on.

This is ironic, because the only people gaslighting over COVID are the pro-lockdown/mask-mandate loons

Sounds like it would be a perfect time to show as many pictures from the riots that have been going on since May as possible, especially the group shots where arms are linked or they're screaming in someone's face.

Some articles are floating around saying Covid germs can live for up to 28 days on surfaces? Good luck with any contact tracing in that case.
They always justify the protest by saying they're wearing masks

The State Supreme Court of Wisconsin slapped down reduced-capacity mandates. As I said two days ago, they opened the overflow facility yesterday and to the surprise of absolutely no one, there are still no patients, and no word on how many are to arrive. Fake bullshit to keep the fear stoked, I am certain. The governor has been on now 2 days in a row interrupting programming to diss on Republicans and repeat his mask mantra OVER and OVER. First reporter question was about the now-open facility and I hope they keep hammering on that. SO MANY CASES, such overflow, very bad, be scared, wear mask!

If Minnesota keeps fucking up, it might be time to hop across the border to Wisconsin. At least your Supreme Court seems to respect the Constitution.

And if you actually look at pictures and videos of the protests you'll see tons of people with their masks pulled down, mouths agape, likely screaming about black lives or cops being bastards.

Hundreds of people can gather and willfully ignore mask and social distancing mandates (that they support and demand everyone else abide by) for "the greater good" of combating "systemic racism" but anything and everything else is selfish and putting lives at risk. I've seen (white) protesters say they're okay with getting COVID and dying from a protest because it was for a good cause. How about going the route of Thích Quảng Đức and killing yourself in protest instead of putting everyone else's lives at risk? Especially considering you're protesting for black people who are more likely to die from COVID. Do black people a favor and kill yourself before you become a superspreader!

That sounds like Michigan's facilities they opened in late Spring to handle the anticipated, yet unrealized, overflow of seriously-ill COVID patients. The first place they opened had very few patients at its peak (much less than its designed capacity) before being closed down and the second facility I believe went unused before it was decommissioned.

Similarly, I saw a headline that hospitalizations increased 80%. without reading the article, I found use of a raw percentage to be clickbaity without context. If cases have been low, it doesn't take much for an 80 percent increase (such as a jump from 5 to 9).

Also, people are talking about a "second wave" apparently unaware that the term has been flung around so much over the past five months that we'd be on a 10th wave if we believed the worst of the doomers. All this fear, uncertainty, and doubt is the last thing we've needed during the COVID outbreak. *sigh*

Here's a story about just what these crazy motherfuckers want people to do and not do at family gatherings over the holidays. Right...bet none of THEM will abide by these ukases. But neither will I, as applicable. They have no credibility with me.

State: Gather with friends and relatives for holidays, but don’t have fun By KELLY NIX

GOOD NEWS. State health officials are now allowing gatherings with friends — as long as they are “small,” don’t last long and are held outdoors. Oh, and you must keep your face covered and stay 6 feet from others. And don’t share anything. And if you feel moved to sing, shout or chant while gathering, please don’t. But if you absolutely must sing, then do so “quietly” while wearing a mask. Those are some of the quirky new rules — intended to ease previous restrictions on private gatherings — issued by the California Department of Public Health Oct. 9.

Monterey County health officer Dr. Ed Moreno ("earns" $345,000/year, utterly useless - JS) summarized some of the myriad and confusing directives in a briefing with news reporters Wednesday. “The first issue is the size of the gatherings,” Moreno explained. “The state has limited them to three households. The point they want to make is that the fewer the people, the better.” The state permits organizers to have umbrellas, canopies or other “shade structures” at gatherings, as long as three sides of the space — or 75 percent — are exposed to the outdoors.

And don’t dare sidestep the rules by organizing multiple gatherings of three households at the same outdoor event — that’s strictly a no-no. “You might imagine, for example, a group of three households contacting another group of three households that contacts another group of three households, and so on and so on,” Moreno said. “And before you know it, you’ve got dozens of households all meeting at the same place.” Gatherings also must be “kept short,” meaning no longer than two hours in duration, since the state contends that there is greater risk of Covid transmission the longer people interact socially.

California also made a point of including rules for singing, chanting and shouting, which are “strongly discouraged.” But if singing does happen, participants must stay 6 feet apart and wear face coverings at all times, “including anyone who is leading a song or chant,” the state warns. Also, singing loudly is discouraged.

“People who are singing or chanting are strongly encouraged to do so quietly (at or below the volume of a normal speaking voice),” the state said. Instrumental music is OK as long as musicians are from one of the three households and they maintain their distance. And while drummers, guitar players and standup bass players are permitted to jam, the sax player will have to sit out the gig. “Playing of wind instruments — any instrument played by the mouth, such as a trumpet or clarinet — is strongly discouraged,” according to the state. (FUCK the state. - JS)

The closest holiday affected by the new guidance is Halloween. Health department officials in late September recommended against traditional door-to-door trick-or treating, because it could lead to the spread of coronavirus, including “touching high contact surfaces such as doorbells and candy bowls.” Instead, officials encouraged online parties and costume contests via Zoom or Skype, car parades, drivethrough events where kids and adults tour neighborhoods with Halloween displays, and “drive-in events where individuals can receive a treat bag (limited to commercially packaged non-perishable treats) or take-away item from an organizer while the participants remain in their vehicle.”

While health officials had said Halloween parties were not allowed, that was before the state’s new guidance for gatherings.

Meanwhile, epidemiologists at Stanford, Harvard and Oxford universities penned a document Oct. 4 arguing that Covid-19 lockdown restrictions are causing numerous devastating short- and long-term public health problems, and that keeping the restrictions in place until a vaccine is available will cause irreparable damage and disproportionately harm underprivileged people. The declaration has been signed by about 35,000 medical practitioners and medical and public health scientists.

Asked whether he acknowledged that Covid-19 lockdowns are resulting in myriad health problems cited by the doctors, including lower childhood vaccination rates, worsening cardiovascular disease outcomes, fewer cancer screenings, and declining mental health, Moreno told The Pine Cone he had not read the document. Strain on restaurants Moreno did cite the “vast impacts” the pandemic has created — apart from the threat of the virus itself — including “restrictions on movement” and “requirements of isolation and quarantine.” (But he doesn't give a flying fuck. - JS)

At the Monterey County Board of Supervisors Tuesday, District 2 Supervisor John Phillips brought up the economic effects of the coronavirus lockdown, and asked Moreno if he believed the county could move into the less restrictive tier, marked by red, within two weeks, provided the metrics are in the county’s favor. (Monterey County is now [and will always be - JS] in the most restrictive purple tier, which means, among other things, that restaurants are only open for outside dining.) “The only reason I’m pushing so much is that with the winter coming up, unless these businesses can be moved indoors, they are going to have to close up,” Phillips said, referring to restaurants. “Time is of the essence.” Moreno said that while cases have been declining, he could not predict if the county would reach the goal. (Again, Moreno simply doesn't care. He never misses a paycheck. -JS)

The more rules "they" make, the less anyone with a brain cares. In addition, anyone with a brain can see "they" will continue these unwarranted, oppressive measures just as long as possible, least until Nazi Newsom is recalled or defeated for re-election.

Monterey County being purple tier and therefore being worse off with number of infections than places like Orange County and the entire Bay Area reeks of BS to me.

Gotta love how he shrugs off answering the question about the negative health effects of lockdowns by just saying he didn't read the document.

My siblings are doing online this semester, because one of them is compromised, and partly because their high school is super pathetic and dirty anyway (we usually have big flu outbreaks every other year, last year like 60% of the school was out with it but they never closed down FSR) and they're jumping at the chance to not have to go up there for 7 hours everyday. The students doing online school are basically being punished for doing so. They're being given uironically about 10x the work they'd be doing if they were in-person. I went to this same school too for 12 years (K-12) and I know how shit it is, and how much education we aren't getting there, so when I come home and see what they're having to do I'm dumfounded. They're sitting in the dayroom for hours and hours nonstop everyday doing work, while they get texts from their in-person friends that they're watching movies in class and dicking around. Like I said, it's like they're getting punished.

Forgive us for not wanting yet another huge hospital bill and not wanting our family member to be fucked over worse health-wise than he already is due to the after-affects of wuflu. Mea culpa!

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but what the hell is going with California right now? Why are so many people leaving, especially those in LA? I say this because one of my favorite youtubers (Geography Now) has put out a video on it and I got sucked into the "Leaving California" rabbithole.

High costs of living, high crime, tent cities all over Los Angeles with homeless people and junkies all over the place. Take your pick.
