The fuck?
I'm pretty sure that, two days ago, the first twenty videos on the Let's Play channel only had around 70k-80k viewers. Now they have around 150k, to 300k fucking views. What's going on? The RT-fancult trying to prove some weird, pathetic point?
I don't know why, but for some reason that pisses me the hell off. LET IT DIE ALREADY
Covid kicked AT&T in the balls. Rooster Teeth is just dead weight now.Little bit of cleanup here. HeroHei is now covering this.
Actually, he's been covering this (sorta) for a while, but maybe we just didn't notice.
In the second video, released yesterday, he notes that AT&T is 152 BILLION dollars in debt and is shedding assets in eastern europe right now. AT&T is the parent of Warner Media, which is the parent of Rooster Teeth.
The video cites a Hollywood Reporter article which says that they want to dump NON CORE assets. This includes divesting about 50 percent of their stake in DirecTV.
This begs the question: On what planet would these dumb-dumbs in Austin be considered a "core asset?"
Warner tried to sell CrunchyRoll for a billion dollars. Warner either vastly overstated their own value or they had some spectacular negotiators.>152 BILLION
holy shit what in the fucking how do you do that? This is astounding, I have to look into that level of absurdity on my own.
Reading this gives me hope that RT can finally die because they can only get worse with time. Buncha dudes playing games and making silly videos is never comin back.
Always was and will be. Any situation like this is going to have people victimizing themselves. What makes it even more retarded here is I think every girl who did actually fuck him so far, minus the mods (grown women lol), has just shared their story while saying they're not necessarily victims.
Or AT&T thought streaming and selling Data plans were synergistic and said "damn the expense!"
In the "15 years of Rooster Teeth" documentary Gavin guessed that RT would be bankrupt in five years. I don't think he expected the toboggan ride to hell though. While I was looking back through some old RT videos, I found this short where everything deemed offensive or obscene gets blurred out (it's somewhat funnier than it sounds):
All I keep thinking is how funny it would be if, instead of deleting every video with Ryan in it, they just blurred him/all references to him out and censored everything he said so that it was unintelligible. That would be a fucking riot.
Also, I think RT unintentionally predicted where their company was going to end up with Gus shoving in product placements everywhere.
