His insistence of “read the book first” just shows he thinks that anyone he “explains” his side to will eventually be convinced and sympathetic to him...and then it won’t matter if it’s true or not, because they’ll agree it made the story better! Even if it’s a lie! Doesn’t matter, they’ll understand his point and agree with him.

Holy shit, that escalated quickly. All she said was "thanks, but no thanks" and goes absolutely ballistic. Then he posts the conversation on FB, thinking that people will think that she was the bad guy.

Yeah, but at least Chris wasn't a total abusive jerk to the woman who agreed to meet-up.
I mean I’ve seen far faster Nice Guy Meltdown escalations. At least he didn’t scream “FUCK YOU SLUT” immediately after the rejection. But I’m sure he was working up to get there before she blocked him.

Knowing Russell, he probably just forgot to put it in, and thinks it's in there to this day
Are you implying that "Why I Sued Taylor Swift" didn't undergo a rigorous editing and revision process?
You have to remember that Rusty is pretty racist. He's not to women because he wants him his penis sucked, but he's pretty racist towards men. I mean, he did refer to Obama as Mocha man. He thinks all black men are saggy pants thugs all latin men are in a gang and run around harassing people for suing T Swizz. I've never heard him refer to any other races, but I'm fairly certain they would fall into the general stereotypes.
Russell is racist because his thinking in general is shallow and stereotyped. He views most of the world as part of some amorphous plot against him. In “Why I Sued Taylor Swift” it seems that everyone, from the judge to the woman in front of him in line at Office Depot is intentionally malicious toward him. He already thinks in terms of “Everyone in [group] is in it together and they want to harm me.”

Russ strikes me as having a very narrow view of the world. I don't think he got much exposure to the world at large when he was a kid, and from what we can tell he doesn't do anything to broaden his horizons now. I doubt there are many black people in Wyoming, and he doesn't socialize, or do anything that would let him meet black people or anyone else who was different from him in a context that would challenge his preconceptions.

Russell is the only person I can think of where when he's happy, I just get a bad feeling. Last time I saw him this excited was when he claimed his publicist who supposedly knew Taylor gave his song to her. I wonder if he thinks a famous woman is going to fuck him, he thinks he's scored a legal victory when in fact he's only succeeded in taking a step towards setting up the lawsuit rather than actually getting it considered, or possibly he just booked a date with a hooker. My guess is that he found out about his IFP confirmation and has already decided that that means he's won the lawsuit.

He's racist because everyone who isn't him is just a 2D extra in a badly-written story about a super cool dude who's overcoming his disability. The writers didn't exactly bother to spend much time fleshing out Generic Nigger #7.

Yup, Russ is the star of his own movie and everybody he walks by that day (who isn’t a female 10) is just some sort of unfleshed out nothings. They don’t have lives or feelings or families-they are unpaid background extras in Russ’s movie. if he thinks about them at all, it’s a stereotype, just like Chad, only Russ’s entire life is populated with extras.

Sometimes they can form to become a mob after him, like us Kiwis. Only Null is a semi-real person, he has the starring role of evil harasser. The rest of us are just lumps of humanity, but we can be directed by Null to spark his electricity or follow him around Utah if it’s necessary for the plot line. (I think there is a random text sentence there, lol)

Russ’s fantasy life is very important to him, much more than any of ours is to us. If we even have them. Every interaction he has is an important act of discrimination, or something that will get him closer to being a famous Hollywood songwriter.

I bet he watches the VMAs or AGT and it hurts him deeply with how much he feels he should be there. He can actually feel the statue cool in his hand, the warmth of an audience cheering, a 10 clutching his arm, and believe that’s where he belongs. And, his fantasies are darker too. When he was sueing Taylor and imagining he’d win, he was talking about keeping her as a slave and ruining her career. No more sweet ice cream dates. I’d guess, knowing that Russ’s fantasy life is all he has, there are many aspects he doesn’t talk about.

Ted Bundy got me on that train of thought, as he and many other serial killers seem to have these overwhelming fantasy lives. I’m not saying Russ is a killer but he has very clearly let dreams turn into fantasies that have now taken over his life to the point that it’s impossible to face his reality-he nearing 30, working minimum wage jobs, no 10, and this is the way his life will be forever. He can’t look at the extras surrounding him and think of them as anything. It’s only when one speaks to him with less than 100% approval that they step into but part role, giving Russ another scene in his movie.

Russhole deleted this soon after posting it. I checked up on his two lawsuits, and there was this recent docket entry on his suit against Null:

Maybe he thought his motion for a preliminary injunction being referred to the magistrate judge (who's been assigned to read his madness so Judge Campbell doesn't have to waste her time with it) was a sign they were going to grant it?

So it's taken weeks of my precious life, but I've finally read this thread from beginning to end. I have some observations.

I've seen a few people speculate on why he specifically says he wants to "flatter" women, and I think it's actually very simple. Imagine you're a high school girl, probably Mormon, but even if you're not religious you've been heavily socialized to be nice to the weird kid. One day, the weird kid makes a completely unwelcome and thoroughly disturbing pass at you. How do you respond?

"Thanks... I'm flattered."
"Oh, yeah, I'd love to go to prom with you. I'm really flattered. Really. But I already have a date."
"I found the drool-soaked Valentine you left on my locker. I'm, uh, really... flattered... but my parents won't let me date."

Your average socially-inept loser would eventually work out that what they're saying is, "I want you to never ever do that again. I want you to give up, go away, and never so much as look in my direction for the rest of my life, but I'm too polite to just say that". Not Russ. He hears, "I am interested but your specific wooing method/timing isn't quite right -- try something else at a different time and I'll be yours". Everything else -- the NPC dialogue tree issues, his little narc-y brain refusing to read this as a real rejection, his absolute and unwarranted conviction that he's a solid 9, even the efficacy of his "wooing words" -- follows neatly from this. I won't beat a dead horse here, but the whole shebang kicks off because they said the magic word; they were flattered. It was just that circumstances (like already having a boyfriend, or being a lesbian, or just not understanding the joke he'll now have to explain) got in the way of Russ' awesome approach. Which is why his overall approach never has to change. And why the first step to winning a woman is to flatter her.

You can't be nice to this guy, especially if you use words that are often used when being nice. He's just programmed this way.

And one other thing:

On page 28, paragraph 180, Russell says, "There are thousands of pages on Greer at Kiwi Farms and it is impossible to sift through each page..."

Impossible? No. Russell just didn't want to do all the work involved in combing through the entire thread. Occasionally, someone new to the thread will rate my old posts here, and it's kind of amusing to see them work their way through the entire goddamned thread via my notifications, usually over a period of weeks. If some random internet autist can summon that kind of dedication, Russell ought to as well.
Hey! I just did this!

Fuckin' kill me.

My guess is he called/texted/emailed them stating he had charges pressed against him, but lied about the whole thing like he has been for the past couple months: he was helping his "friend" Erika with her mental health problems, she "randomly" blew up on him and said she didn't want to have contact with him anymore, he stopped but after a few months decided to reach out to her again, and that's when she went to the police. Whether or not he ever came clean about the situation to them is anyone's guess. But they've known their son his whole life, so they probably knew he wasn't telling the whole truth.

My pet theory is that they aren't terrible parents, just terribly in denial. I'm sure he got a solid dose of "you poor thing" and "you're very special" growing up, but in turn his parents got a lot of bullshit right back. At best, I think they're dimly aware that he's an awful person, but probably choose to continue telling themselves it's because he was put up for adoption and is deformed, so of course things are harder for him and since no one's perfect, he doesn't always do the right thing. On some level, I'm sure they're aware that there's more to the story than Erika randomly blowing up at poor Russ, but he's given them the plausible deniability of Erika "having issues," and combined with his being awkward and entitled (because of his disability!) they can just not think too deeply about it. It's probably easier than confronting him and having him rage at them, which I'm sure he's done a lot in his life.

Right. And not to go too hard for his parents here (they were the adults in the situation, after all) but imagine trying to make Little Russ eat his broccoli. Whatever's wrong with him mentally is at least partially genetic and thus probably started showing up early on in life, and the parents were predisposed to be overly sympathetic to the poor little runt to begin with. Easy to fall into that pattern of just taking his word for how things are and at least accepting his excuses on the surface level, even if his version of reality beggars belief.

I know what you both mean. There's such a thing as being blind to reality and the fucking obvious, but to continue on with the exact same behavior despite zero success and every single person you have ever known telling you are wrong is just hard to comprehend. He's somehow totally evil and totally incompetent, everything he does is either a creepy attempt to sleep with a woman or get famous, or both, or an attempt to punish a woman for not giving him sex or fame, yet he's so bad at doing all of those things that he never even gets one step in the right direction and it's very uniquely strange to watch. If he were just an idiot and not a horrible person, he'd still be trying to woo Taylor Swift instead of trying to ruin her career. If he were just as horrible but more competent, he'd realize lawsuits aren't the way to go and would try to hurt women another way. Instead he remains convinced his legal argument of "I felt led on by her being a nice person" is unshakeable genius and it's the bias legal system that's to blame, and that he has a legal right to bang hookers, and that women shouldn't be allowed to refuse his sexual advances. And when everyone he knows tries to change his mind, he shuts them all out because he's so convinced he's infallible, alienating everyone who ever cared about him in a futile quest for fame and sex. His never ending life of failure and delusion is truly hard to look away from.

He's a rare example of Lawful Evil in the wild.

Edit: I also discovered that the website for the Mile High Neon still exists, if any newcomers want to take a gander.

Considering he's plead guilty to e stalking I wouldn't call him lawful. Glad you finished reading through it all, it was a long journey but one I'm glad I took.

He wasn't stalking her though, he was following the established gentlemanly wooing method. Bad 80's teen movies made it very clear that this is the process one is to follow.

Besides, we all know the law is there to protect the underprivileged and victims. Like Russ. It's not his fault women are too stupid to respond appropriately to his wooing and that the bias judges don't understand the purpose of the justice system.

Russ has made it clear in his absurd lawsuit filing that he only defines stalking as actively physically following someone or showing up on their doorstep, which is why he claims he isn’t stalking Taylor Swift. Anything else...mailing them unwanted gifts, calling their place of business to try and get in touch, making claims about wanting to be involved in their lives, suing them to get their attention, messaging them over and over, railing against them on social media, repeatedly commenting on their online profile...not stalking.

Never mind he did threaten to show up in Erika’s doorstep. He didn’t actually DO it, so it doesn’t count!

Russ takes everything in bits and pieces. Lots of people mail someone a surprise gift! Lots of people call your workplace to get in touch with you! Lots of people post on your social media! Why is all right for others to do these things but not Russ? It must be because the world hates disabled people.

He refuses to see that any one of these actions by themselves may be acceptable, but all of them together is disturbing. He only judges each action on its own, in a vacuum, and refuses to take them all as an established pattern of behaviour.

I’d like to shove him into a large beehive and then ask him why he’s running around screaming. It’s just ONE BEE, Russ. Several hundred ONE bees, but still. Stop spazzing out because you saw a bee. Haven’t you ever been stung by a bee before? Lots of people get stung by a bee, it’s not that big a deal.

The root of it comes back to the fact that he cannot conceive that anything he does is wrong. You could present Russ' own actions as being perpetrated by someone else and I bet you could get him to agree the guy was a creep. He'd definitely agree the guy was a creep if it was a hot woman telling confiding in him in a moment of vulnerability. Then he'd hit on her.

The funny thing is, by his own definition then, we're not stalking him. We're not even by the legal definition, but by his own arguments, we're not doing the thing he's accusing us of doing.

Ah but his example of why we're stalking him is that article, I think it was in the NY Times, calling the Orchards, "the World's Largest Group of Stalkers on the Internet" or something like that.

They used the words "stalkers" to refer to us so he feels he's justified in using it. Like most cows he's of the "this doesn't apply to me" mentality.
