If you're gonna try to upsell memberships to your fans, you really need to do so in a way that doesn't cheapen the experience of the loyal fans who tune in every day. Something is definitely up in El Stupid's world, but danged if I can figure out what it is. Is she really sick? Who knows? Did Peetz quit her miserable "party"? Who knows? Is she losing monetization? Who knows? Is her paycheck going down? Who knows? I've never seen anyone with the ability to murk up the waters that she herself created with such reliability. Pretty much the only thing she can be relied on is to never follow through with anything and murk it all up with lies and chimpiness. I'm guessing that she expected her stupid costume mukbangs to rake in the dough, and the tepid number of views caught her by surprise. So now, she is foundering.

I'm hoping we reach the point where her typical mukbangs fail to even crack 10K views. She's getting there. That will put her back to where she was almost three years ago with nothing to show for it but soiled, stretched clothing that she can no longer fit. I'm not sure how she can arrest this decline. People are losing interest for multiple reasons, and addressing just one of them isn't going to fix the problem.

I think it's hilarious that it took her this long to find out about Ms Glorie and Milk Tea. MTR has it in one of her tweets (archive). I find it hilarious that she thinks people watching MTR are watching to be an asshole - ie not watch the original video. Of course she's going to be "reporting" the channel "when she feels like it". Lol ... all MTR has to do is reject the copyright claims and then it's up to Chinny to take it to court. She's too lazy to run a paid membership part of her channel, like she'll go through the legal system.

Write offs are a complete pain in the dick to keep track of in Canada. First of all, I'm almost positive she's not registered as a business. Second, there are autistic rules about what % of what can be written off. Buy a new camera for your "streaming business"? You write off a percent each year for X years going by some formula. Write off groceries? Better record every morsel you actually ate on stream because those are the write off bits.

The CRA gets its rocks off going after broke retards. If she had millions to hide in the Caymans it would be less risky lmao.

Speaking as a successful self-employed consultant, I would never in a billion years do my taxes without the help of my CPA. Write-offs are extremely complicated (in the US anyway) and if you stupidly attempt any shenanigans, you run the risk of an audit, which isn't going to be ideal for our dainty queen. Then again, I don't believe Chantal actually pays her taxes, so there's that.

I agree - demonetization of her YT channel has the potential to force her to turn her life around, but actually it won't. Rather than getting a real job she would manically flail around for monetization options outside of direct YT revenue - patreon, merchandise etc. She's been riding the gravy train boat for too long to just give up on it. It's a sunk cost fallacy. Otherwise, she has put herself mentally and physically through hell just to get to the end, 200 lbs heavier and 200x crazier than when she started her YT "journey". Putting together a business plan for patreon, designs for merch etc would still be less work than getting her shit together and getting a real job, so she would take that path of least resistance (or maybe given her size, inertia is more appropriate). Frankly I think it would be a good idea for any youtuber who relies on it as their job / sole source of income, to have a properly detailed backup plan in case their adsense gets nuked or there's another adpocalypse. It's all well and good thinking "Oh, I'll just start up a patreon", but you need to have realistic targets for the amount of video content you are putting out. Patreons would still expect the current standard output PLUS then added bonus content on top of that. Chantal just wants to eat. If you over-promise and under-deliver, those patreon bux will slowly but surely slip lower and lower.
