I threw 100 at Calli and joined her membership. My logic is "Nothing worth buying right now, might as well throw this money at something." Granted, it's also really funny to bitch slap Death with a fat stack of cash and make her cry out of happiness.

I also ended up picking up a few bits of knowledge as to why shit like this happens, like "why the fuck are these people dropping so much money?" I'm going to try and apply whale logic to the situation since it kind of carries over. In Japan at least, people who whale on gacha tend to only have that thing to spend money on in the first place; they work so much that they don't really have the time to actually do anything more entertaining, so all their entertainment budget goes to whaling on gacha and same thing can be applied to any sort of big donor on livestreams. People have more money than time and want to show appreciation for the entertainment they can get. I don't think anyone reasonably believes they'd get to fuck a vtuber by throwing money at them; you'd have to jump into the industry for that to happen and not be stupid enough to get caught.

The twitchcast that pissed off antis was done well before she'd even had the chance to audition. A lot of the antis' justification was they felt that Aloe was using a (at the time) recently graduated nijisanji vtuber (Chitose) to badmouth the industry and fandom.

Sora also has her own light novel. Also, everyone at Hololive can get in on the Factorio autism with Amelia because you can play it in Japanese or Chinese, along with English. Matsuri recently registered to Reddit.

Artia's latest Twitch stream (someone archived it somewhere, I heard about it after the fact) pretty much stated that HoloCN is on life support. They're still getting shit on by nationalists and it's gotten to the point where Cover might just cut their losses within the next few weeks. Either all the CN talent gets the boot or Cover might set up a shell company to handle their shit like Ichikara did a while back. Artia's bilibili page also has removed all branding with hololive and her fan group got shut down as a decision by herself and her manager because people were getting too political.
