Steve Bannon even talked about using the debate as a "forcing function" to get this before the public. Well, they're sabotaging their own plans if they wait too long.

I don't know, maybe the point is that the debate will break the media embargo as all the left-wing outlets won't be able to resist writing articles and op-eds debunking Trump's disgusting attack on Biden's family? Then Giuliani releases the most damaging info yet, and they'll basically be forced to address it, as they've already reported on the topic. I'm tentatively optimistic, as Bannon is a slimy fucker but he definitely knows how to play the media.

If they can get this to dominate the news cycle the week before the election, it'll be a big boost to Trump's turnout and demoralize Biden's supporters.
