Free games to stream! That would include Rocket Arena, NFS Heat, Plants Vs Zombies, Unravel, Battlefront 2, NFS Payback, Titanfall 2, all the sports games... that's most of the PS4 catalogue. There's Xbox too.

It's not fantastic, but it would have gotten pre-release views (unless he did do it?).

Out of all the money he has wasted in his life he's getting triggered by $33.

I've wasted money on nothing many times. It's a terrible feeling regardless of the amount. But since the money is gone and you can't take it back the only thing you can do is to just accept it and forget it.

However, Phil is a miserable person full of vitriol. He can't help himself; He has to lash out. He was done wrong and the world needs to know. He believes he's doing us a service by warning us too.

That's a good point. Surely as a professional video game streamer and on-demand content creator he could find SOMETHING to do with the EA pass over the next YEAR to generate some value for his business. Not to mention that $33 is a qualifying business expense as long as he streams something from it. So that reduces his taxable income by $33, meaning he really only 'lost' a portion of that $33.

I can't believe he had that shit for a year and didn't make use of it once.
From what I've been told, Battlefront 2 got a ton of updates that have made the game actually good. He could have gotten value out of that alone, but I'm sure he doesn't want to get exposed on a game that he's not getting Day 1 release views. He also could have fucked around with Titanfall 2. We all know he's fine with going back to games that he's beaten already.
If he was halfway creative, he could start up the Sims and auction off family members to the highest donators. Dave, if you ever do this, I'm expecting royalties, you bitch.

It takes all of 5 minutes to cancel a subscription service unless you are a tech illiterate boomer that demands everything be done over the phone.
