Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

100% nigga. My company is the same internally right now. I'll be sent to a site to repair something, turns out the stupid faceshield bitches in the office sent all the wrong parts to the wrong site and didn't tell them I was coming. "Due to COVID-19 I'm retarded and now do my office job even worse than before, have fun looking dumb on my behalf"

I refuse to believe some businesses arent using Covid as an excuse to be able to do less while still earning the same or more (since people really dont have a chocie but to go to them). You pay employers less, dont have to attend clients as much as before and the idiots have no choice but to put up with cuz "muh cumvyd"

What's Newsom getting out of this? Why would he purposefully tank his entire state's economy like this? Those themeparks print money and employ thousands of people.

Orange Man Bad for starters. The democrats are so filled with hatred of Trump and conversatives that they are willing to tank the country's economy and everything else just to get in the way of his government. I mean lets be real here, its not like these politicians will suffer any consequences for this. You cant really arrest a polician over incompetence (tho if we could, wouldnt that be amazing?) and even if you somehow get them to court, they will be given a slap in the hand.

Besides, it doesnt help he is sucking Biden and China's fat dicks so he can get benefits from being in their club (tho its one that will suicide you if you dare to step out of the line and get arrested)

Dude, businesses are getting fucked over by Covid...unless you are a mega corporation that obviously can handle a fucking apocalypse.

My pizzaria is handling it alright but my restaurant inside a campus is slowly dying due to a combination of illegals food stands right on our door (the head of campus is a raging socialist so issues like us needing to pay rent, rent thats getting harder and harder to pay because these fucking bastards keep stealing our clientel is completely ignored by him) and Covid scaring everyone away from the hospital we usually get clients from.

Im seriously considering this to be the end of our family restaurant...hopefully a miracle happens but I think its going to be just the pizzaria from now on.

So much for hard work and paying rent when some jackasses can walk around with cheap snacks right at the face to the people. The type of people that would rather drink hot black piss if its 50 cents cheaper than our coffee. Covid is being the nail in the coffin...

I'm with ya! Totally understand. Not just small family businesses but even high street stores that employ the karens and kens are getting fucking raped. They are gone.

I probably made my point badly. Really, all those small stores have a right to cry 'Coof' but my bank? Those companies would be the mega corporations you are talking of. In fact, even my housing association has a right to cry 'Coof' because they employ real life people who are affected by this, I know. It's a knock on effect.

Still, my wider point was that there are many people who could not possibly be affected by this, who are crying 'Wolf', so to speak. They are just running game on this while they can. I probably should have provided some better examples.

Anyway, I hope your family restaurant makes it through. This is the paradox with all this. They are decimating small businesses like yours, who likely will never recover (well not if this shit goes on for another 6 months), but it's business as usual when it comes to many other things (rioting). Again, I probably could have proved my point better.

I don't have full view of all the facts. But even I can see this is going to be a major hump for small places to recover from. The big supermarkets get to trade more and so much their profits are going through the roof. Those big companies have backup, they have insurance and cover the like of which only those big companies can afford.

I hope your business makes it through all the bullshit (including the aliens).

God speed.

Also I would wager part of why Newsom's being so stubborn about theme parks is ego because he's butted heads with the theme parks on this. Those reopening guidelines would have come out weeks ago but they were withdrawn because they were too restrictive, not to mention done without the input of the theme parks themselves, and it was assumed that the state would work together with theme parks on new guidelines. Guess the theme parks having input didn't do jack shit to change the state's mind because there is no difference in the guidelines that just came out. So he absolutely refuses to compromise, especially since opposing him on this issue are people like Bob Iger who are just as egotistical and determined to get their way.

The theme park spergs, at this point, want to tar and feather Newsom over this whole debacle by the way. And some of them are saying they wish theme parks would just go "fuck the state of California" and reopen anyway.

The funny thing is (there is my catch-phrase) that this illegals crap started so simple. Our place was making honest bank and suddenly these pricks appear walking around shoving food right at people's faces and of course they buy it since its way cheaper (quality be damned).
Then it became a literal infestation with them everywhere. We tried tell campus that this was hurting business but of course the commie bastards were more than glad to take our rent money and not do jack to solve this (or else its prejudism against "poor people" or some garbage). Then it got worse and they admitted they fucked up and yet required OUR help to solve a problem they caused. In the end, they settled on having them on some parking lot area...right in front of the restaurant and between us and the hospital...

Fuck the campus for that.
Now Covid happened and our profits went from "sustainable" to "dangeously not sustainable".

This trend of beating up and doxxing anti-maskers is something.

Steps to keeping safe and healthy while flagrantly disregarding muh mask statutes:

1. Squat 400lbs.
2. Deadlift 500lbs.
3. Lift 'til your traps are a cobra hood and your upper body is an exaggerated V.
4. Put on a beater and shorts.
5. Walk around bow-legged in public with your arms sticking out, because your thighs rub together and your lats keep your arms from resting comfortably.
6. (optional) Scowl constantly and grunt to show your dissatisfaction.

Admittedly this is easier if you already started training before the shit hit the fan. Reason #45203 to always stay in the gym.

Funnily enough, my church is operating on a budget surplus this year. The congregation is still sending in their offerings, either by mail or dropping them off at church, and because we've been doing considerably less activities/services over the year, we haven't been spending a lot of money. Financially, we're in a better position than we were pre-coof. Mentally and spiritually...definitely a lot worse. I'm looking forward to returning, hopefully soon.
My church is pretty much breaking even since the fiscal year started July 1 (receipts 0.2% less than budgeted). The money it's saved has been largely offset by the cost of protective gear and the cleaning supplies necessary to clean the church between services. I think it's safe to say people want to be able to start doing their usual activities when it's safe enough to do so -- whether ordinary or spiritual.

Small businesses are struggling even with factors unrelated to COVID. All it takes for some small businesses is the loss of 1-2 regular/long-term clients for any reason, COVID-related or not, to move them from a comfortable financial position to one that has them teetering on the edge of solvency. For people that need a second job to keep afloat, one wonders if there are many openings outside of service/retail right now.

It's the arbitrary nature of it all that gets to me. Constantly changing the rules and limits, with little explanation and no justification for why six people together is fine, but seven will kill grandma. Your park is one square foot larger than the decreed limit! No money for you!
The constant goalpost-moving has been the most frustrating for me; no need to rehash the details again. The worst part if how Governor Whitmer tends to refuse to share what figures guide her decision-making. Early in the summer, a news reporter who is known in this area for his positive rapport with past governors regardless of their party casually asked Whitmer during an interview what numbers she was using for her decision making. She refused to answer and instead told him to stop making the issue political even though he's never treated any governor with partisan bias during his career covering state politics. :story:

Meanwhile, normies can only shrug 🤷‍♂️ when they sort through the current collection of executive orders on the state, county, and local levels as they try to figure out what still is and isn't legal to do under threat of a misdemeanor offense and a $500+ fine.

He's still hoping for a Biden Bailout. Apparently he also said if Trump wins the election he'll have no choice to lift restrictions early:
Although it's not new to see a politican from any party using constituents as a human shield and pawns, it's horrifing (if true) that California's governor has politicized the restrictions and may keep them in place if he can get Biden Bailout Bux 💰. The fact he's claiming he'd have to lift restrictions if Trump wins shows this is more about making a political statement than helping the citizenry.

No one in Portland wants to harass me about "muh mask rules" if I am wearing my USA flag and eagle hat, the local signifier of a scary conservative who knows his or her rights and all the amendments. They glare, but then they submissively avert their eyes and tuck their tails like good beta wolves.

Nobody says anything in opposition to my mask, which says, "Wearing this is stupid. Think for yourself." Don't like my mask? Fuck you and fuck Newsom.

You know, what has truly changed in just 10 years? The last major outbreak we had (unless you count ebola on a lesser extent) was H1N1, in the end we handled it and we didnt have to keep using masks and lockdown everything...and H1N1 is argurably a worse disease than Covid.

Just...why?
Something Something covid is unknown and all that jazz.

It makes me believe all that Great Reset stuff floating around. Global Pandemic makes a great excuse to try and set a New Normal, and gives you a feel for just how far you can push the proles.

If I rememeber well the put a vaccine early. Plus no country did a lockdown to set a exemple, but mass pig destruction was ok

Remember the whole first responders thing earlier this year?
Remember "nurses are heroes" and then nurses got fired en masse because, besides that people weren't showing up for routine physicals and procedures, the demand for the overflow hospitals never happened?

Yup. And all the clapping like they were coming home from a war? Don't get me wrong, i don't blame them since the media's been putting them under stress from the pressure, but still I'll say it again, this will go down as the biggest mistep in human's history
