Bloody hell I hope this trends somehow. This truly shows what a twat Phil is.

Not only is Phil shitting on one of his biggest fans, he is shitting on someone who is legit disabled. SuperBlindMan was dealt such a horrible hand in life and when something good happens to him Phil has to shit on it.

Are we sure that's the case? Phil replied to SuperBlindMan's tweet with this:

I definitely think tweeting that at Sony and PlayStation was a last ditch effort in getting one for free. No doubt in my mind that he's jealous that someone with ties to Sony got one instead of him, but when Phil publicly shits on gaming figures and companies all the time on Twitter and Twitch, he should fully expect to get nothing in return.

I will say I support streamers needing licenses to stream games. I really don't see how these idiots believe they are artist for playing a game with a web cam on. It drives me up a wall when they claim how EULA don't apply to them, as they are much smart and their work with the game is very wow.

He's not being gracious, he's just doing basic PR. The same as when he shits on a cult classic game the entire playthrough, then once the credits roll he's all "alright that is it for x, I really enjoyed it, it's a good game, the inputs do drop sometimes though"

It's an unpopular opinion but I agree. It's like someone recreating a 'paint by numbers' copy of the Mona Lisa thinks that they are just as credible as Leonardo Da Vinci. You're not an artist, you're a hobbyist.

I agree with you in theory. They're public facing figures and some of them have a literal army of sycophants.

Not only should videogame streamers not have to pay a license fee, but rips of movies with barely transformative commentary should be allowed. Copyright shouldn't last for 70 years, it should be 7. Everything beyond a decade should be public domain. Piracy isn't just ethical, it's morally superior to spending money on media. If you don't steal movies, games, and music you're a bad person.

Anyone who follows a career in streaming should be put in jail though I agree.
