Community Tard Baby General (includes brain dead kids) - Fundies and their genetic Fuckups; Parents of corpses in denial

The only possibility that would save these dipshits would be if the autopsy shows signs of Lazurus Syndrome, a supposedly real phenomena where the heart spontaneously restarts itself a few hours after clinical death. There's only been 1 or 2 cases a year since it started being documented though, and there's debate on if it's even a real thing or not, so the fact the hospital and paramedics defense team is bringing it up as a possibility shows how badly they likely bungled this.

I think having an RN testify the girl was still breathing is gonna screw that up.

Potato or not, I feel for the family. Imagine the emotional fuckery of this situation. I'm not a fan of "emotional damages" in a lawsuit but this might be my exception.

Of course, you gotta get your nails done and your "lady bits" waxed before giving birth because that's the important stuff

Well she was expecting to make her homebirth a big IG spectacle so worrying about hair and make-up was a top priority.

Ms Empath is so fucking stupid I could believe her skull is filled with cysts instead of brain matter. I can only imagine the advice Luna’s medical team has to listen to coming from the bitch that caused her condition with her shocking negligence and vanity.

Hypnobirthing, and big sister Luna is helping. I'm sure she'll be a great labor coach.

Why beign so obsessesed over "beatiful" birth. From what I could see in the past, birth is not beautiful, is painful, can be dirty, tiring, scary, and a lot of other things. Yeah, you baby can be beautiful, the fealing of having you baby around your arms is beautiful but the whole process is not.

I think is a really big red flag when you are more worried about doing your nails and having an hypnobirthing for a "beautiful birthing" that the health of your own baby.

Noted photographer Heji Shin did a series of photos of babies crowning during birth. She blew them up into huge photographs for an exhibit. She wanted to capture the brutality and truth of birth, how it really looks. In order to get women to agree to her capturing the crowning she agreed to also do the standard “pretty birth diaper commercial” photos for them.

Women, for the most part reacted very negatively to the crowning photos that captured the unvarnished reality of birth, it was men who were impressed by them. Men liked the photos. They appreciated the painful, bloody, difficult, gory side of birth being shown - many said they felt they could relate to these photos as they captured the painful and brutal reality of what it takes to create something or someone new. They could respect this version of birth because it’s the truth.

The soft focus diaper commercial stuff rings hollow because it is false and inaccurate.

I follow several cat rescue webcams, and one in particular traps pregnant ferals and has them give birth on live camera so the world can see the gritty reality of birth. (If the cat needs a c-section, they film it and put it on You Tube afterwards, because their veterinarian does not allow live webcasting.) It reminds me of the woman I met many years ago at a cat show who complained about parents who breed their dogs or cats "so the children can see the beauty of birth." She said, "There is NOTHING beautiful about birth."

I also follow a few monkey channels, and one of them often shows macaques, which live in Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam, giving birth up in the trees. Of course, the placenta follows and she eats it, which prompted one commenter to say,
"Look! A delicious steak just fell out of my butt."
Um, it wasn't her butt, but I knew what they meant.

Halloween must be an interesting time at the Ramirez household.

"Great costume, who made the head?"
"I made it using my own poor judgement!"

Dressing your child like this when their head is literally the size of a pumpkin is cruel, to say the least.

I’m sure lots of moms bought this costume. And in 15 years when their daughter’s going out in her short black skirt and cat ears for Halloween, they’ll pull out the photo wistfully. Not Luna’s mom, though! Cause homebirth is more important than not ruining your child’s life.

Also, the fact that her name means moon also seems awful, in light of her head size.

I thought that Luna's face was dirty but those are eczema and scratches. I feel really bad for this baby, I can't imagine the pain she must be and now with the skin condition just makes her case even worse

"Antibiotics wreak havoc on Luna's skin"
I love that she's still throwing shade at western medicine, while sucking up every possible medical resource for her failed homebirth.

Not only that, but she was all over Western medicine when it came to doctor shopping for a neurosurgeon willing to carry out futile shunt surgery on Luna.

I just found this article about an university student with hydrocephaly and a high IQ. I don't know how real the story is since I only could found the same picture of the brain and that article and 0 information about the student. It could be related to the fact that the article is from 1980.

I've heard that story over the years, but never actually seen any pictures of the brain scan. I DO know that with MRIs, etc. doctors have seen some really incredible things. I remember a show on Discovery or a similar channel about a person with a rare genetic disorder that included agenesis of the corpus callosum, and one doctor said that the corpus callosum, which helps the brain's hemispheres communicate with each other, is not necessary for normal life and said, "For all I know, I might not have a corpus callosum."

When I lived in my old town, I knew a woman who was the head of the local Mensa chapter who I thought at the time was a polio survivor, due to her age and the fact that she wore leg braces. I found out later that she was born very prematurely (and raised by adoptive parents) and actually had cerebral palsy and a seizure disorder, and on top of it had a law degree with a master's in city planning. She said that her doctors couldn't figure out how she could function.

AFAIK, she's still alive and is probably about 70 years old.

That doesn’t surprise me, actually. There’s a known link between premature birth and neurodivergence (autism, ADHD etc) although it’s only been recognised over the last couple of decades. It wouldn’t surprise me if this woman was autistic and gifted (aka twice exceptional - this has a different meaning on the Farms, I know).

The Ask a Mortician Youtube channel released a video claiming a profoundly disabled woman with CP was wrongly pronounced dead and woke up in a body bag due to ableism and racism. As you can see, she has microcephaly, her body is all twisted and she breathes through a hole in her throat. She is dead for good now though and the family is suing the paramedics and most people in comments online are calling them incompetent, racist and ableist. How badly should those paramedics get in trouble? You have to admit, it must be more difficult to tell a potato is dead than a real human. Not saying that to be mean, like I think it would legitimately require more skill.

Not everything is racially motivated though? Why does every crime against a black person instantly mean you're doing it because they're black?
That would be like me accusing you of being sexist because you called a woman a cunt for reasons not motivated by gender.
