General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

If she plays her cards right, she can be the "trans pride" vtuber and make bank for being stunning and brave.
I'm not so sure about that. I think a lot of the enjoyment of vtubers comes from it being a place to not have to talk about politics, gender, and all that shit.

She might get the asspats but, unless she's talented, not the viewers.

The other reason to figure out your setup before streaming is to not show how embarrassingly blatant your egosearching is.

In other news, another independent english vtuber debuted today, which would've been the worst possible day had the shillshark not been completely terrible. Instead managed a complete turnaround by virtue of not being a soulless copy.

Don't most streamers, smart ones at least, use an incognito window so that doesn't happen?

She seems ok, you guys are too harsh. Give her a month to develop, then her shittiness/greatness will show.
A month or two to settle in to a new character and figure their technical shit out is totally fair. Everyone we've talked about in this thread went through growing pains. I only worry about the ones who aren't playing a character at all, and will be like this forever; the ones who look back in a year at their debut and don't cringe at themselves, but think "damn that was some good content."

I really like Amelia but her debut was kinda cringe heavy.

It can take time to figure out your groove or niche as a streamer. Gura talked a bit about some things she considered doing when she was approaching her debut stream. She admitted they would have been very cringy and was glad she ended up not doing them.

VTubers need a certain amount of cringe, though, like Ina and Gura's bad jokes and puns.

So Artemis of the blue is definitely a dad or a tranny with a voice changer, right? It seem so obvious it's hilarious to see people in comments flip out when someone mentions it.

Also it's pretty hilarious how they pretty much completely stole Gura's identity. Because how else would you become popular? Copy one/the most popular Vtuber currently.
The DSP of the vtuber world.
Coattailing was literally how Artemis got so popular. That and a superbly rigged avatar.

I saw a clip someone posted of the Artemis full body model show off and someone in the comments actually fucking asked if Artemis was Gura's second persona.

EDIT: we should have a poll on how long it takes for Artemis to forget the voice changer or for it to crash mid stream.

Here are two english clips from the same interview between Inuyama Tamaki (kinda like the Joe Rogan of V-Tubers) and 220k subs Kagura Mea discussing gachikoi fans. Gachikoi means fans who are delusionally in love with a streamer. Talking about boyfriends or IRL romance in general is something most female V-Tubers avoid at all costs, so it's interesting to see how it's viewed behind the scenes (although Mea is notorious for being a gigantic degenerate and does not represent the average).
