Also re: California fires

I remember my 9th grade biology teacher explaining to us that California would be better able to maintain the fires they deal with if they maintained more and better water reservoirs, but they use a shit ton of water for pools and for watering plants in front of buildings because tourism. He didn't cite a source because we were just talking but that's pretty believable.

I'm not picking on you, but how exactly are they hanging themselves? Twitter and Facebook are two of the richest and most influential companies on the planet, and Dorsey and Zuckerberg are disgustingly wealthy personally. This kind of news about Facebook deploying "measures" to influence political unrest is actually quite frightening and I read it as more of an arrogant flexing of their power, secure in the knowledge that the government has nobody in it that will hold them accountable for the incalculable societal damage they've caused.

This borders on doomerism, but I am genuinely concerned about the amount of power these companies have. Between Google, Twitter, and Facebook, they've created the most immense and pervasive psychological warfare and spying apparatus in history. I realize the DOJ has recently made noises about busting up Google, but it seems to me that we've moved past the point where antitrust measures will be adequate to address the problem and into the realm of "literally declare them enemy nations and go to war." It will be interesting to see if a second term Trump (assuming he wins) will even be able to make a dent in their metastasizing growth.
These companies are resource intensive. They cant sustain themsleves forever.

Of course. Anybody who doesn't vote for our sweet child Jeb! is just a fucking mongoloid.

But to be frank, this is my first time participating in a United States presidential election. In some ways I am thankful for that. At least in my eyes, everything in politics has been so fucking shit these past few years that it has at least opened my eyes to rationally analyzing the things I am told. I barely had any personal beliefs when I was a kid because I was just a dumb malleable child being fed info by arguably very left partisan parents. They made people like Obama seem like fucking God himself having come down from the heavens to bless us. Shit sucked and I am glad that mindset never stuck with me.

I thought Trump practically shitting down Hillary's throat in the 2016 election was hysterical but didn't really give much thought to politics back then. However, compared to 2016 it feels like nothing has changed. Same shit different day, just old fucktards getting ready to pass on if they close their eyes for a little too long. The actions of social media platforms and news companies trying to clearly suppress the flow of certain information regardless of if its factual or not just pisses me off so damn much. And yeah, I know its not a new phenomena, its just that the rotting skin of these corporations finally sloughed off to show the terrors underneath.

But I don't know, I guess I am thankful for orange man DRUMPF and sleepy joementia for giving me a good show. I will probably vote for Trump in all honesty, because at least he hasn't tried to fearmonger me and lie nonstop through a plastered smile and gritted teeth. I'll certainly be keeping a close eye on politics in the coming weeks and months, because I know that regardless of who wins, these next 4 years are gonna be a fucking spectacle.

California has a metric fuckton of issues with water

They channel a lot of fresh water into the fucking San Francisco bay to try and save a species of smelt, the San Joaquin Valley's water table/aquifers have been depleted so badly that the ground there has sunk dozens of feet, they basically twist arms to poach fresh water from other states and run it through the aqueduct system, they have constant droughts, and yes there's a lot of swimming pools, lawns, etc.

There's also the fact that they've basically gone full retard with fire management

HOLY SHIT

TRUMP HAS THIS MASSIVE JUMBO SCREEN AT THIS RALLY NOW

He's getting double use out of his fantastic video team. They've been trying to fill in the gaps left by the banished memelords with official clips, so now he's throwing them up in the only place the news still sometimes covers: his rallies.

The MSM and social media have already said that they will not allow Trump to call victory on Election Day. That if he says so that Facebook and Twitter will remove the posts.

That's why I'm hoping not just for a landslide but for a popular vote victory. Then CNN and MSNBC can reee that "Biden still has a chance! All the mail-in votes aren't in yet."

The worst thing that can happen is a very close race. The type whete both can claim victory and be right.

So they're putting more lids on Biden's campaign? With a week to go?

How does this not come across as the white flag being waved?
Not that Kathy Griffin is important, but I find it funny the level of COPE that TDS people have.

Biden calling a lid is good BECAUSE COVID!!!!

Democrats want the country ruled by unseen figureheads and faceless bureaucracies. That's a feature, not a bug.

Haven't you noticed how apoplectic they get at the slightest amount of scrutiny?

They can't maintain their own water supply, because they can't maintain anything. They take huge amounts of water from the Colorado River. One of the many reasons Calexit would a great thing. They are a huge financial and resource burden on the rest of the states.

I'm worried to death over some hitherto-unseen cruel trick of Clown World getting in the way.

I think it's inevitable there will be a Clown World trick. The Democrats think if they can get Biden over the line he can change the system to make it harder for the Republicans to win again. Meanwhile, they also think if Trump wins it's the 1000 year Trumpenreich.

Both sides see this as an existential issue and if there's a situation like the Florida recount in 2000 I worry as to how it will end.

Actually, Bannon pointed to the high levels of uncertifiable mail-in ballots

https://kiwifarms.net/threads/2020-u-s-presidential-election.53249/post-7583330

If mail-in ballots are 20-30% uncertifiable and Democrats have been encouraged to and disproportionately did vote by mail-in ballot, the shit is going hit the fan.

I predict more AntiFa/BLM/other Democrat racist terror organizations rioting and the media telling everyone they are peacefully demonstrating.

Despite living in deep blue NYC, I arrived at my early voting location at 9:20AM yesterday in anticipation for when it'd open up at 10:00AM. Thing is, there were many boomers who were wanting to come in ahead of time too to get their vote in so they could enjoy the rest of their Saturday.

Instead of finishing at around 10:10AM, the line was extremely slow and we took over FOUR HOURS before we could actually cast our ballot. Sealed the deal for the Don at around 1:25PM.

Some of the (presumably Biden voting) boomers couldn't stand the wait and went home. Not me, despite needing to go to the bathroom really badly a couple hours in, I held it all in and toughed it out. As I walked out I went full sperg and repeatedly shouted "TRUMP 2020" "i voted for trump i voted for trump i voted for trump" and was telling people waiting in line that it took 4 hours to vote in order to demoralize (relatively) low enthusiasm Biden supporters into going home because 'fuck it, why am i even bothering'
