Well Bernie and Tulsi would've been a bad matchup for the establishment democrats since both have called out their party's corruption even if they'd back up Creepy Joe. Honestly the DNC wanted Kamala or Warren to win but both were messed up by those guys you mentioned. Biden honestly wouldn't have been fielded if he didn't win South Carolina, otherwise the race would've played out differently. Biden really only got the nomination by winning South Carolina and being the only recognizable Establishment pick in the field that has won a state.

Kamala was clearly their first choice for this election cycle. Tulsi destroyed that plan singlehandedly with that debate performance from last year.
Biden is the DNC's Trojan Horse for Kamala to get into the Oval Office. Make no mistake. They went with Biden after Kamala's campaign crashed and burned because (a) he's an old fart crooked politician that was owed favors, (b) they could run on Obama nostalgia, and (c) the establishment would be in full control over Biden because he's weak in every way imaginable.

Just seems like a bad play; okay you're not going to get someone you can absolutely exercise authority over, but at least try to get someone in there just on principle and worry about forcing them to do shit later. Instead they're fielding a dementia patient and hoping for the best, and probably putting in every fix they can. It'd be easier to get a legitimate candidate in and do little extra work, instead of putting forward a piece of shit and spend ten times the amount of work to get the fix.
The more moving parts you have, the more points of failure you have. And with the amount of TDS going around, it'd be easier to get the fix with a likable candidate.

I'm not a US citizen, but I really wouldn't want to see Biden winning presidency with this lazy, arrogant campaign work. I feel like this would set the bar low enough for the shittiest candidates to take over because they can just throw money at it and get elected anyway, surely this would spread to other countries and you'd get people like me running for president while doing autistic rallies in Minecraft.

Yeah it is weird, like anybody else would be more palpable to normies. If there's a sizable amount of Americans who would just vote to ensure that Trump doesn't get reelected, putting in someone as innoffensive as possible would seal the deal. Was this really the best option? They had to have known that all this shit could have come out at any time, especially since apparently Trump and his guys have been digging around this for a while now.
By putting in Joe, they're wasting a lot of political and social capital just to beat back all the scandals that have been plaguing him since day one. I used to think that they put in Joe cause they didn't wanna waste anybody who had an actual shot, now I'm not even sure anymore. Maybe they figured that if Trump gets a second term, they'll all be "hanging by nooses" as Hilary so eloquently put it.

In hindsight, their best shot would've been Buttigieg since he doesn't seem to have any major scandals under his belt, is young, and is the most inoffensive candidate the DNC could've put forth.

The requirements are already pretty low; be a natural born citizen and be 35 years or older; everything else is marketing. Mike Bloomberg spent close to (or over, can't remember) one-billion dollars and got 0 support. You could also criticize his methods as he walked in at the 11th hour, wrote a huge check, and is surprised nothing happened. But there's also Jeb Bush; part of the Bush Dynasty, his dad and older brother were both Presidents, spent more than every other Republican candidate in 2016 and got 0 support too. Meanwhile Trump spent less than all other candidates but knew how to play the crowd and was likable (to whatever extent).
There has to be a likability factor; which is something that helped the second Bush. People said stuff like "Yeah he doesn't seem that smart, but I'd drink a beer with him."
Give the zoomer another decade or so, and I wouldn't be shocked by a mainly youtube/twitch presidential campaign.

Also the dude killed his own campaign when he said he would institute a buy-back on all "assault weapons". He’s old, his memory is failing him, he’s probably freaking out about the leaks, and his son has disgraced him. There’s also the very likely possibility that his son molested his granddaughter and potentially other family members. Even if he didn’t do anything inappropriate himself and even if he didn’t actively cover up Hunters misdeeds, coming to terms with that, could be difficult. If he is guilty of these and other things we’re unaware of, that guilt or at least fear of his dirty laundry being left to dry, could be eating at him constantly too.
His campaign could also realize its best to just hide him away then risk him yelling at Trump supporters, saying something damning, or having a complete mental breakdown.
Serious question, what are you guy's thoughts on the polling numbers? They say Biden is performing better than Hillary in 2016, is there anything those pollsters are ignoring?
