What's funny is how a bunch of conservative politisperg Boomer bloggers and pundits used to make fun of Obama's cult of personality and the way he did that little Mussolini-like chin-up head tilt during his big rallies before the '08 election are all now totally on board the Trump train and don't call him out for basically doing the exact same things.

Pence was wildly hated as governor in Indiana due to being a social conservative instead of a fiscal conservative like Daniels or Holcomb. The reason he took the VP nomination was because early gubenatorial polls were suggesting that he was going to get curbstomped by the Democrat.

I am reminded of that clip of Hannity (I think it was Hannity) in 2017 clutching at his pearls and lamenting that no president has ever been treated as disrespectfully as Trump has. I suppose 2008-2016 are just a black hole in his memory, considering the channel he works for.

The Obama worship could get creepy, but I have a friend who took it too far in the other direction. One time he made up a whole scenario of Obama watching in devastation as all the Obama merch was burned in a big fire, and he sounded like he was getting off on it. Needless to say, he's a Trump fan who probably thought nothing of people prancing around in MAGA hats and t-shirts and Trump masks.

It's completely retarded on a fucking base level. One of the only things Democrats like about Trump is that he doesn't care nearly as much about drugs as other Republicans before him, Dems loved Rob Ford for smoking crack despite being your typical Canadian conservative in all other aspects, and Marion Barry was a fucking Democrat who got reelected even after freebasing on tape. Nobody was ever going to care about a politician's grandson being a fuckup.
