I've worked with young autistic men who desperately want a girlfriend. "I'm 18, everyone else has one, when do I get mine?" I have to explain to them that a girlfriend is not something you are entitled to or is just given to you. If they have a hard time understanding that, we have couples tell them stories of how they met, etc. and how couples break up. We've had some boys turn stalker & we have to tell them it's not acceptable & there are consequences for behaving that way. They may want a girlfriend, but they don't just get one, like getting a doll from the toy store. We tell them that if they cannot behave appropriately around girls, we will not allow them to near girls unsupervised.
But these are kids who are pretty autistic and 20 years old at the oldest. They also don't try to spout bullshit science at us.
It's sad (not not unsurprising) when a 40 year old man can't even learn what those kids can. No girl in her right mind is even going to make eye contact with Lucas. And he is not entitled to their time, attention or bodies.

I guess what I'm wondering is, if that behavior of frustrated entitlement (?) in regards of acquiring a girlfriend is a combination of the gaps of social understanding that comes with autism + how men are socialized to view relationships/women (yes it's 2020 but there's still a bit to go in terms of gender equality and clearly there are still plenty remnants from that boomer 1950s age of boys will be boys and ownership over women)

What if there was a genuine effort on the girl's part to want to try to get to know him and date him, because Idk, let's say she had a traumatic childhood that literally destroyed her brain matter, like she probably needs therapy. Anyways, she agrees to the date and they talk and it turns out they have nothing in common. She likes to get up at 4am and run 3 miles everyday and would like a partner who would run with her. Also, she has a science degree so everything Lucas says makes her want to cut her own jugular. So she tells him, it was a nice time but it turns out they don't have much in common and it's hard to imagine any kind of future in terms of the lifelong total commitment he's demanding
