1) Irrelevant what it was intended to be. Many people have formed safe spaces on it. And have benefited from it.

2) So basically, what, cut off the internet and bury themselves in video games? A lot of the trans women I know don't have real life support nets, and if they do, they got them through places like tumblr.

3) Not true. Back when I was being stalked and d0xed hardcore, knowing that it was happening, being constantly paranoid about what people would turn against me due to seeing these d0x or hearing shit about me destroyed me. My time in the Con scene here was a nightmare because of all the gossip and bullshit. I prefer to keep things where I can see them.

Also, again. These are excuses to absolve people of responsibility in how things treat others. And is consistent with this forum's version of "freedom of speech" which is really "freedom of consequences".

No I'm going to get food and play Dragon Age II for the night lol(excuse my shit taste in vidya). And read comics and maybe check up on the latest ep of Penny Dreadful(there's a trans character in it now and she gives me feels). I just meant disengaging for the night.

The work I do, I actually get pretty personal with the people I work with. I probably shouldn't, I need to learn to distance myself some what, but it is what it is as it's very grass roots and I'm only loosely associated with various organisations that suffer from a lack of funding and leadership.

Like, obviously what you did gives you a bit more perspective, but I'm probably more in touch overall with what it's like to be disadvantaged.

Even if you were experienced - it still doesn't make the typical "attention seeking" bullshit accusations anti-SJWs make up correct. It's still just attacking people that have it harder than them, and judging them for how they cope with that.
