I wish I could find it again but I have read an account of an American troon consulting with famed Thai SRS surgeon Suporn re: penile preserving vaginoplasty (aka non binary SRS) and Suporn replying with an incredibly blunt (paraphrase) ‘I aim to cure gender dysphoria, not make freaks of nature’

I posted a picture of him with a shoe on his head up thread somewhere. Suffice to say this man does not exhibit the professionalism one should expect from a surgeon.

This is depressing as fuck to read. All of these confused, vulnerable young men were pulled into a parasitic community made up of degenerates and grifters instead of getting the real mental health help that they needed.
The most dangerous thing to the trans community is how they lie to each other about outcomes. They don't need anyone to come in and oppress them when they're pro at oppressing each other for daring to have a personal crisis that goes against their false narrative.

it’s actually even better than I remembered it.
I’m not convinced that Suporn is any more moral than anyone else in this field, it’s possible that his attitude is mostly because the culture around trans in Thailand is different (‘lady boys’ are socially accepted but not AS women, as extremely feminine gay men - there is no way to legally change sex in Thailand).
Most lady boys don’t bother with SRS so the Thai surgeons mostly operate on westerners. Suporn is nearing retirement and has no doubt had to deal with thousands of mentally ill fetishists and has thus drawn non-negotiable boundaries.
Someone like Suporn has probably spent years convincing himself that skinning peens is morally right because xyz so removing the xyz justification hurts his moral bubble.

Going by this wackjobs thinking, you shouldn’t remove a cancerous tumor, since cancer occurs in nature, and is therefore natural. Oncologists are problematic and promote a biased, tumorless heteronormativity.
Speaking of Thai surgeons, my favorite anecdote was that of one of Suporns less expensive colleagues who met a visiting troon, and concluded the initial consult by saying: “If you want chop-chop, I can do it no problem!”

You feel threatened because they are dangerous. They've reduced the idea of a woman, a biologically female human person, into a collection of disembodied parts. They demand entrance to female spaces, female social groups, and female bodies. These doctors and surgeons prescribing all of this shit to them don't care about the damage they're doing to real women by supporting the actions of people who clearly need mental health help and not hormones.

I just assume he has enough patients on his books he doesn't need to worry about booking a more complex procedure. Sure, he can make all the justifications he wants, but if he were broke and needed patients, he would magically have a change of heart.

That's a nuance most Westerners are too self-centered to understand—in the rest of the world, the concept of being transgender varies. Thai people don't literally think ladyboys are women, hence why most don't feel compelled to chop their dicks off. It is our culture that constructs our dysmorphic anxieties. No hunter gathering hominid ever looked down at their dick and cried because it was supposed to be a vagina.
If trans activists in the west sought to be seen as modified males who look like women, there'd probably be no real opposition from anyone left of center. Who could give a shit? But instead they've gone the route of telling females they don't exist because anyone can become female. It's beautiful, like some MRA trojan horse.
Anyway, there's no such thing as ethical SRS. Suporn is wrong for what he's done (though kudos to him for being a slightly more ethical butcher). If trans activists actually cared about the well-being of trans people, they'd expose how disgusting and foolish this surgery is, not lie and hug-box mentally ill people into an irreversible and morbid procedure.
Maybe there is an ethical route for some types of people... but self-aware body-modders are very few and far between. Requires a level of free-spiritedness and degeneracy you certainly won't find in someone who thinks being "misgendered" is literal violence.
