It's just heartwarming to know that even when he does get these huge rainfalls and incredible profitable streams he burns the money within literally 24 hours.

No matter how good things look, they just won't improve because of this. He actually has a legitimate addiction, and it won't get any better with age.
His bailing bucket is exactly the size as the hole in his ship.

Would be a real shame if that hole got bigger, or that bucket got smaller.

For me, the final nail in the coffin was his username is the one he always uses, he admitted to playing the game, he only logs on when DSP isn't live, neither one can prove they are not the same person, illegal name changes, shady denial of knowing about the names and factions, claiming microtransactions on his bankruptcy, and Phil's a gay faggot who loves oily men in speedos.

You forgot the instant chat bannings for any reference to the whole fiasco too.
Except for @Nigel of Ukip I guess?

Sharing publicly posted information for entertainment purposes is not interacting with a thread subject though. If you have evidence the publicly posted information is being used by them, or anyone else for that matter, to contact people and :epik: at them, then by all means present that evidence in your posession and let the mods step in if necessary at that point, it's not like this particular user hasn't faced moderation action over this type of thing before so something will be done if behavior is found to be unacceptable. Getting a lineup for a wall of shame isn't a trolling plan though, somebody has to do something they shouldn't with the information first for it to get into that area.
I couldn't help but notice how genuinely happy he was when he "pulled" something good during yesterday's Genshin Impact stream:

This whole clip is a giant vein of gold, everything about it, from Jasper stealing the entire segment starting with DSP telling him to bring him luck (and it working) to Jasper trying to keep the petting going despite Phil's reaction to getting that quality rare pull, then a waifu reference along with a 'gender' disbelief high pitched chat rejection and the efiminate laugh as the cherry on top of the sundae. Whoever scripted this scene? Bravo.

While it is indeed a kind of silver lining the fact that his not so secret hobby is robbing him of any chance to ever get ahead, his dishonesty about it makes it difficult for me to enjoy watching him waste all of his money. Especially given the very obvious enjoyment he gets out of gacha, which likely far exceeds any enjoyment he would get out of being able to do just about anything else with all those tips. Basically, we really can't watch him be miserable here because his habit doesn't make him miserable, because he's not normal. The hobby itself has to get taken away from him, which, at this point, is not something we can do. That's in the hands of his paypigs, because with or without being in a guild, he can't play without money, which he never has unless someone has just tipped him that day. Those tips seem to be drying up pretty good when it comes to a lot of his viewers, and even though he still has a handful of reliable whales, I could see in one of the clips from Monday that Phil was still pretty distressed about the possibility of not being able to whale out until Wednesday night. It was disgusting due to his lying, but at least the impetus was a lack of gacha funds legit worrying him, as opposed to fake worry about "bills".

When you do, just make sure to find something as valueless as a mobile game to blow it all on. (And no, blow and hookers don’t count.)
At least with hookers, you'll get something at the end of it. Like herpes or the clap. Hell, even copious amount of coke will result in a deviated septum (which is more than he'll ever get out of sweaty svgs).

See even as hedonistic as it is. Its a good time. You have stories. Real stories about real girls with giant fake tits. And even if you paid them, how many of you have snorted coke off a girls ass? Thats something that you could tell stories about.

Fuck you could blow it on booze at the bar. I wouldn't wanna be those people, but I have met some great booze hounds. Played a few great games of pool. Or god the strip bar, and I have a *seedy* strip bar in this town. Bartender and I still give each other a polite nod at the grocery store, but I used to drive cab.

Or shit, my boring ass money sinks of wargames still give me memories and friends. People I can talk about to other people. Something that my brain will catch on when my life flashes before my eyes. Even if its not the painting or the great plays, but the dumb moments of us dying in hysterics about some dumb in joke. Or the dice rolls that people gather around to watch.

Or my Dad. A man who spends a lot of money on food. Will always have memories of teaching his kids how to cook. Or the dinner parties he has thrown. Sure it makes for bad TV, but thats money he has spent that can be verified and talked about and lives past the real dollar value.

And then at the bottom of all things, you have Phil. A man who actually has nothing to show for his money. We shit on the appearance of his wife, but fuck it. If they were happy, she could be a burn victim for all I care. But he has a wife only according to a line on a piece of paper. So he stole a wedding from people and has no wedding stories. Who the fuck doesn't have wedding stories. My folks had practically the same wedding as Phil. My grandparents watched me, they bummed around some tourist trap town for a week. And all four of them talk about that week all the time. Probably because Dad wasn't in the hotel playing mobile games all week.

Because thats all Phil has to show. He has 10 some years of being fucking recorded and he has like 4 "good times" he can show the world. Everything else is how he grew up, or lost weight since then. And all the money gone. Spent to house a wife he spends no real time with. And a cat, he is never even happy to see. Never a story to tell about that either, beyond the most basic, did a cat thing.

One day Phil will die. And his life will flash before his eyes. And it will have to loop twice more before he finally dies.

@Jaracainofthewind And the saddest thing of all is that none of that hurts Phil's feeling in the slightest. He has no regrets about never traveling anywhere, never having real friends, never having a real intimate relationship, and not having anything to show for all the money he has spent on one of the few things he actually cares about.

No, what hurts his feelings is being made fun of for sucking at something that isn't even a passion of his (gaming), not being the center of attention, not feeling special, being slightly inconvenienced, being questioned about stuff that would lower his rep even more if he was honest about it, and a bunch of other really childish concerns.

The dude is not normal.

I won't deny that he does get some sense of enjoyment out of it, but I think the enjoyment comes from winning. There's a lot of instances where he isn't winning, and we've heard/seen rants where he goes off about how predatory mobile games are and he seems pretty angry at them. I concede we can't really see him be miserable, but that has more to do with him trying to hide his addiction/people being dumb about defending Phil in some attempt to get him to confess or something.

I like to think of it as Phil is constantly chasing a high of being important/recognized for what he thinks is skill/hard work. Sometimes he gets that hit when he gets a good pull, but it doesn't change the fact that he's spending hours each day begging and being miserable just to get a brief burst of satisfaction, which even then, I think is greatly diminished by his inability to openly brag about it on a faction discord.

DownFromTheRafters was online until at least 4:00 PST.
That must be one cold marital bed in the Casa de Gout.
One day Phil will die. And his life will flash before his eyes. And it will have to loop twice more before he finally dies.
And at low framerate. Lagging. And he'll be pushing buttons. But nothing will happen.

What's fascinating is not just phil but there's a whole subculture of people wasting their life on this. I would pay good money for detailed life files on the top 100 players and could do happily do a ph.d combing through the stacks of info.
I don't think Phil is even a top 100 player in this. So how much more have people spent on this than Phil?

You can literally see Phil hitting the top hundo less than a full page back. He is high up in the ladder almost every time there is an event.

Some people have no doubt spent a lot more than Phil. Pretty sure the top player in every gacha game is some variation on "the servant of a Saudi prince who is paid to win the game on the prince's behalf" and the rest of the top 10 are packed with bored rich people. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the top Champions player had blown half a million or more by now, and I am sure in some games it gets into the multiple millions. But the ultra-sad part is, the people dropping that kind of money on the game probably barely notice the expense. For them it's not even an extravagant purchase and if their friends and family found out they wouldn't care. For Phil, he bounces around in the top 50 and it's a humiliating addiction that has completely destroyed his life. The more he wins, the more of a loser he becomes.

The only skill involved is spending money. Also that's the only "fun." The prince can do that on his own. Why would he let a servant have the fun?

Pretty sure it’s people like Philip. They just haven’t declared bankruptcy yet. Credit Cards: Gotta Catch ‘Em All!
