New York Post got their hands on a hard drive from Hunter Biden's laptop and shows Joe Biden lied about Hunter's dealings with Ukraine

Couple stories on the New York Post

FBI has had the laptop for over a year already and didn't say anything. Remember when Trump got impeached for congratulating the new President of the Ukraine?

What the hell is the FBI doing?

Supposedly there is also a video of him engaged in a "sex act" and a couple of photo's of him. This is one is particular juicy

Does anyone have any recent polls as to how many people think this is real or ‘fake’?

Curious to see if the MSM misinformation campaign is working or not.

Edit: Also wondering how this is being received on ‘normie’ online forums.

It is astounding that this profile was not yeeted or set to private - does Hunter have no one advising him? The family, their handlers, did they not realize the internet is full of autists that would go digging? I assume the ol' crackfiend kept mum about this account - anyone would - and not going scorched earth is exactly what this moron would do.

I'd REALLY like a look at his friends list. The way he talks to the girl in the foot video about how she could do it, I wouldn't be surprised if she also had an account. And it'd help verify if it was Natalie or not.

He has 1,208 friends. If they're all randoms and strangers, why is it private?

The problem is that it's so fucking trivial for them to let us verify the authenticity of the emails. It's been insane for them to not just release it. The best I can guess is not wanting to cloud the waters with people checking the signatures improperly, but that is easy to get out ahead of and deal with.

The narrative has already changed from "the laptop isn't real" to "ok, the laptop is real but *that* bit is totally faked!"

Having the specific emails that the Post included in their original story verified would be huge, and I cannot for the life of me understand why they haven't at least made those publicly available for download so that people could check for themselves.

I think they're just being very careful with the materials because they feel like its such a smoking gun, so they're being extremely protective.

It would be very hard to judge that accurately, but enough people have heard that something suspicious is going on that it might affect the election results.

My take? Because allowing that information would allow the opposition to see the sourcing on the internal communications and run damage control. By this point you've already seen every establishment politician and glow-in-the-dark in on this shit and there is a huge amount that they want to make not fucking exist right now. Twitter and Facebook overreached to the point of censoring the government itself, indicating that if they weren't in on the take, they're certainly fucking implicated.

I don't like the drip feeding, but it's definitely the surest way to keep them guessing as to what was in them and where the emails came from. I don't think I need to remind you all of the Clintons' history with evidence preservation. If any internal sourcing could be verified, that shit would be nuked from orbit in seconds. As things stand, Scattershot is their only defensive approach and it makes it far more likely something incriminating survives.

Their goal is to sow doubt, not prove anything. They want to have an excuse to throw it down the memory hole, and proving that everything shown was valid makes it that much harder.
The evidence doesn't prevent them from sowing doubt, it never has before.
The thing that makes it impossible for them to memoryhole it are all the boomers on twitter shitting on people who buy the attempts.

Long term, the only only real defense is to make the people who buy they media BS embarrassed over and over for not being wrong, but being foolish. You let them buy "it's fake" let other people hound them with 'lolz how dumb are you for listening to the media' and then you prove that point is real.

Over time people constantly being embarrassed by believing the media tripe will begin to avoid the media without even realizing it.

I think people are confused about how the emails have been verified. What was released and analyzed by the security expert was the email and its metadata including a digital signature by Google (since the email in question is from a Gmail account). They have claimed to have all of this from the start. If they had the digital copy of the email, they had this information.

No one is getting any new information by them releasing the dkim signature other than the fact that they do indeed have the email, which we already knew because they released it. This isn't some 4d chess move keeping critical information from your enemy. It's keeping people who are interested in the story unable to prove that what you are saying is the truth.

The FBI has had the original drives for a year, and they kept an airtight lid on it. Whatever damage control they could run with information from the emails has likely already been done.

Watch if Joe loses this election he'll "suddenly become" senile or demented. Dong pics are funny and all but the point must stand Joe sold himself as a tough on drugs politician all the while he knew his son was doing a lot harder drugs than weed which his legislature had thrown countless people in jail for countless years for just marijuana possession. Also degeneracy runs in the Biden family Joe was notorious for opting to swim naked when he had female government staff over.

This isn't even mentioning his dealings with China.

Is funny watching people calling "muh chain of custody" on a digital signature. And the other saying "you helped Hitler".

That's not how this work you exceptional people.

chain of custody is a very important concept with both physical and digital data, there's nothing funny about it. these are important topics in legal matters and certain infosec concerns.

Well it's not like Wray is possibly implicated by the contents of the drives. Nope. Certainly not. It just couldn't be that.

The one in the article is the most boring honestly. The second is pure edge poetry, and the last is Hunter talking about his dad running against Trump.

The audio files are from this soundcloud profile:

Jesus. A fifty year old man, and he sounds like an emo teen LiveJournal user circa 2004. This is top-notch lolcow material. :story:

The entire point of a digital signature in this case is that the chain of custody is irrelevant. If the signature matches, that's mathematical proof that a message with these specific contents was signed off on by the sending domain. That means one of three things must be true, in descending order of likelihood:

1. Hunter really did send the emails in question
2. Someone hacked into Hunter's account (or snuck onto his laptop) and sent the emails as him
3. The cryptographic keys for Hunter's email provider have been compromised

This rules out the "disinformation" narrative, except in the vastly unlikely case #3.
