Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

  • Suicide Girl model and America's Next Top Model contestant have it, spread on Tumblr, that's why.

Playing the games? Only gross gamerbro nerds do that.
Also, only 3 or 4 out of all of those characters are showing skin. But that's too many!! And their personalities don't matter because they said so!!

They found out it was a divider not a phallic symbol so this was added: "I’m beginning to think that the cleavage-seatbelt was inspired more by tentacles than armor." Also because the men have more armor, that makes the female designs "bad."

This is supposed to be "humanized" art of the animals from Madagascar.

I'd expect them to look more like their voice actors. And why is Melmen all green? At least they didn't touch the Penguins.

I actually kinda like that Marty. He looks kinda like Chris Rock, and a humanized zebra character with vitiligo actually makes sense, unlike 90% of Tumblr's headcanons.

I want to say the apocalyptic green lighting was to make Gloria's skintone greener like a hippo but... hippos aren't green? :\

Those designs would be nice if they actually had, y'know, skin colors actually found in healthy humans. Someone should shop them so they actually have brown/etc skin because they look like rotting corpses as they are.

As a side I'm actually a fan of humanizations of animal characters, however all the race/body type/etc wank about them I could do without. The only thing the characters are in canon is animals, you can make them look like whatever kind of person you want.

"This last is so absurd i have no idea what class she is supposed to be. Maybe it’s a new class called “Bikini Knight?"

Her class is "axe fighter." It says it in the picture. I bet you think you're so funny. (Well, I did snort... but not for the intended reasons... and because I can read kana... or thought I could, and misread it as "axe rider" and ruined it entirely)

The new FE has been on Tumblr as a whole's shit list for a while, but I didn't see it on BABD.

That actually reads "axe fighter". And that explains her design a lot - fighters in FE never wear chest armor anyway, since they have the muscle to make up for that. The only thing that bikini is protecting is her modesty.

You know who actually needs a SJW redesign? Fucking Nowi

Want to see approved male and female outfits? The designs are great, but it feels like you can't tell the people apart. I'm not talking about making things pink or skimpy, just something to make it feel more imaginative.
Honestly, I can't tell the different outfits apart. They all have similar shapes and most of them lack distinct colors. Maybe I'm being a hypocrite complaining about the issue, though, because the gendered outfits in WoW kind of piss me off. (On a male character it's pants; on a female character it's panties and stockings!)

I totally agree about Nowi. She's the only character in the games whose design really bothers me. I think it's a common thing in JRPGs to have a token loli character who looks young and behaves in a childish manner, but is actually 2000 years old or whatever; I think Etna from Disgaea is one. It's actually mega creepy because it's such an obvious lie, but you never see SJWs addressing it. They're too busy focusing on what's right in front of them - revealing clothing that a character wears, and not slightly less obvious but more harmful issues like these.

Seeing as how Bloodborne does it with armor via screenshots from the wikis, I will be honest, they do look like you can't tell apart though I say that since the Souls games did put in a difference between genders with armor. One example is the coat of plates in Demon's Souls. Compare male to female. As far as sexualized goes, the only one I know off that From Software did was the desert sorceress set which could get some complaints with these guys though it is justified in the set description in that the armor set notes how their seduction can fool people (though said description is just lore fluff like anything else). Plus, that set can look skimpy on guys with the only difference is changing the bra into a small breast plate.

Both her and Etna's outfits have always irked me. (Especially how much skimpier Etna's tops have been getting.) I love Etna as a character, but it felt like a bit much.

Thing is with this kind of art and redesign stuff you can pinpoint which artists are doing redesigning for fun and learning and artists who have severe narcissism and self-esteem issues. Like Meowthkip said already, I'm all down for bringing more diversity in the games, however if these people will scream about ''well this character looks nothing like real woman'' or what I've seen more occasionally ''I need characters that look like me'', this is point where it stops being a plea for something better but begging for something selfish and shallow. I thought people should value character first and then the ''cover''.

I mean, I'm definitely shitty with self-esteem, but I sure didn't love GTA San Andreas because I thought CJ looks like me. Or TF2 because I definitely felt like middle aged Aussie that has a thing for pissing in a jar. Maybe I'm transethnic oh snap :surprised:

I just hope you can customize those clothes. They look too bland.
Same here; they are pretty dull. As I said before, it would've been nice to have some alterations between the two sexes.

The people at Desktop Dungeons decided to try and make the characters in their game as gender neutral as possible while that is an interesting challenge, but in the end, like a lot of SJW art, the characters end up looking weird, homely or boring. Even when it's good work, it feels like there's just something missing.

You can have non-attractive/unconventional female characters and make them fun and awesome.

The gender neutral thing for Desktop Dungeons does make the portraits look a bit bland but even then, the gender neutral portraits kinda make me think they look more feminine than gender neutral. If they really were to pursue gender neutral, they really could of went for a face obscuring helmet/hood try of portrait.
