Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I fail to see where that would actually be a problem. I think a landslide would be the most hilarious shit I've ever seen in my lifetime but I'm going to bet that it's going to be close. Even if we get some riots and shit it'll be worth it.

Lots of people don't like Trump, but NOBODY likes Biden.

No really, MSNPC and CNN were nearly wiped out during the Obama years. They had nothing to bitch about. Rush Limbaugh has made Gazilions using this understanding. I'm just amazed at how much Joe Biden actually manages to shoot himself in the foot, and then shoot himself in the other one. But this is like launching a tactical nuke on yourself.

Seriously, the DNC couldn't throw up a better frontman!? Unless the whole plan was to fold on this hand and hedge their bets on a farther left stable that might come around in a few years.

I can't point to any evidence, but the DNC is not acting at all like any of their plans are working. They're acting like a cornered rat - their internal polling might put Trump past the voter fraud margin of error.

Gut feeling- this is a last minute ploy to attempt to bring out the progressive urban/suburban vote. May likely be due to early voting shortfalls in Florida and the Rust Belt from the working class.

I'd also like to know where you're getting this info. I've seen people saying it, but there is never a source.

Anecdotally I live in Pennsylvania but besides an abundance of Trump signs I haven't seen concrete data to suggest that the early voting has been bad for Biden. In Philadelphia County I have to say, the Trump signs outnumber the Biden signs something like three to one. It's pretty nuts. But those are just signs that I see so it doesn't mean much.

As some black guy once said, "Don't underestimate Joe's ability to fuck things up."

But if we're being real, Joe himself was not the one to tweet that. The guy is barely holding it together on his public appearances, there is no way in hell his campaign would let him have unsupervised access to anything he could use to broadcast his unfiltered thoughts to the world. And that's assuming Biden knows what Twitter is and cares enough to use it, which I find unlikely.

I wish I could be a fly on the wall in Biden's campaign. It has to be fascinating watching that trashfire happen in real time.
