If it helps the jar, they never really changed, your perspective of them changed. Before, you'd probably see this as a bit cringe, but like that it was sticking it to the republican/bad guy. But now you know EXACTLY how bullshit it is, and it goes from "A bit cringe" to "Oh god please kill me".
