Here's something I just thought of. Is the disinfo so bad that it's wrapped around and you can actually tell the truth with near perfect accuracy by watching the news, but you just believe the opposite of whatever they say? Or is it just bad enough that the media is pure white noise and it's impossible to get any real meaning out of it?

Because if it's the former, Trump has a one hundred percent chance of winning. And I think it might be. In the past year the media has quite literally done nothing but lie. Everything they say is the opposite of the truth, no exceptions.

At this point in history pretty much every "group" has enslaved another at some point - it doesn't make it right or excuse it but it's hardly as though white people are the only racial group in history to commit atrocities.

I think so much of the easy brainwashing has to do with lack of real-life experience combined with a severe deficit in knowledge about history. How many of us in the US get comprehensive world history lessons in public school? Very few of us, I imagine, because to teach comprehensive world history about years 0AD-1750AD would involve teaching about religion, which is taboo.

But it gets more insidious than that, they don't just avoid teaching certain subjects, they outright change the narrative when it fits them because the academic world largely identifies as "progressive" anyway and any idiot knows that you can change history if you can change the narrative. So you see kids coming out of high school fresh and moldable like play doh, not really having concrete political views outside of what they supported to maintain popularity in high school, and they go into this college environment where they're essentially told that only progressive people are smart, anything not in line with SJW/progressive thinking is outdated and based in bigotry and hate, and that the entire world would be better off it only it weren't for those meddling white people and their mangy desire to conquer humanity.

So alright, Biden wins or Trump wins. That's fine, I can deal with either. I think most of us can and will after some good shitposting over the next week or two.

What I can't deal with are the so-called progressives and extreme leftists that are hijacking movements and using them as cover to destroy civil society and subvert the United States government. These people are operating outside of the old left/right paradigm and I think a lot of our users from either end of the spectrum be it @Hollywood Hulk Hogan or @It's HK-47 can agree that these people represent a movement that isn't helping any aspect of our society. Worse, they are running the risk of resurrecting the skeleton of the extremist right if they have not already.

How then do we deal with this element and those that crop up in response? It would seem like trying to be heavy handed is not the right answer because that rarely works unless you literally go scorched earth, which many of our laws will prevent us from doing. Appeasement is also not an option. Many of these people have no interest in talking and see either candidate as an excuse to cause more problems. So what do we do? Again, I don't think there is going to be much disagreement on the face of it. Most Americans (I think?) don't like the rioting and the looting and it is also tragic to see some well-meaning movements taken advantage of by people that seem to be walking contradictions.

And what I mean by "walking contradictions" is that more times than not the individual that wants to tear down the system is either a major beneficiary of said system or completely unqualified to be making decisions themselves, let alone everyone else in the nation..

The tricky thing is that if you speak up against them, they'll use cancel culture to get you fired or they'll gather an antifa mob to smash your car.

We need more groups like the Proud Boys who aren't afraid to loudly oppose them, bonus points if they're filled with people who should score high on the oppression stack.

Never gonna happen. I really don't expect us to officially "know" the results until at least 3-4 weeks from now, if even by then. 2016 was shitshow enough because while we had a very good idea on election night, there were several recounts and a lot of uncertainty coming from several important states such as WI and PA. And that was when they were caught unprepared after months of feeling assured that they would still be YASSSSS QWEENing even tonight. They are prepared now and know their plans of action, so even if the election night results indicate a blowout, expect there to be multiple recounts and possibly court challenges that drag this shitshow out at least a few weeks, possibly over a month. And even after that, if Trump wins, expect there to be another 4 years of nonstop impeachment attempts, conspiracy posting, media meltdowns, and quite possibly civil unrest at least until it gets so cold that any rioters turn into popsicles before they can even throw a brick.
