Kushites, Nubians, and other North Sudanese are an admixture of Caucasoids (of the early Near Eastern type) and native Africans. Ethiopians and Somalis are related to this migration, although they have Arabian (also Caucasoid) admixture. While Kushites do/did have dark skin, all their other features are very "white" unlike your typical black American who is straight up negroid from West Africa. Ironically modern Egypt (though not Sudan) is one of the fattest countries in the world, almost as fat as America. The hot weather means a lot of people just sit around inside and stuff themselves with subsidised bread. Turkey and Saudi Arabia are the same.
