My soul has been broken, so I have no idea.

I know it's rainbows, but I was hoping a Trump win last night, especially with the increase in the minority vote, would at least maybe be a Step #1 into getting rid of all this Critical Race Theory/white guilt/anyone that opposes me is a white supremacist bullshit. Honestly, that ended even before the fuckery at 9 pm when everyone started calling the KKKubans white supremacists. That's when I realized that no matter what happened, there would never be even a hint of self-reflection.

Now honestly I care but don't care. I think even if Trump wins that CRT will be shoved down our throats eventually anyway. I see people saying that the flat-out don't care if the Democrats cheated because we got the Orange Man out. I have white relatives telling me with a straight face that not only is AOC NOT a communist, but that some socialism is good and throw it in my face that I've been unemployed for months because COVID and that my unemployment payments are part of socialism.

I could just be on a downswing and maybe in a couple months/years I'll be hopeful again, but 2020 has really crushed my spirit. It's bad enough when my relatives demand our rights be taken away because "Americans have never taken COVID seriously". Honestly that's been more backbreaking than President Leg-Spreader Kamala being supported by BLM despite being literally everything their fighting against.

The funniest part about 2020 has been that everyone is a white supremacist except actual white people at this point.
Maybe it's time we radicalize and fight back, too.

So its finally hitting just how transparent the charade of democracy really is, were not free men were serfs with no political agency or power, corona is being used to round up wealth into the hands of plutocrats while our supposed communist saviors cheer it on. this is broken.

edit: I think even people just glad trump is likely gone are more quiet and more somber because even they see the wider implications this holds for them.it seems to be the one unifying thing, an uneasy stillness

It's hard to fight back when they are convinced that I think AOC is a socialist because I'm buying into Trump's lies.

If they are they far gone into the woods, that seems like a point of no return. The best I can do is just keep my head down, not post on social media anymore, and just smile and nod at family gatherings.

Edit: I still remember taking to one of my friends about the BLM riots, and off handedly as I was making an argument said that "the point of a protest is to get people on your side" and he interrupted me and asked "Is it?" I feel like the left has gotten to the point where we are debating things I didn't even realize were questions anymore.

Yeah, I don't know if I'm being a bit scatterbrained about it but I'm trying to impress on people that counterfeiting a ballot is not something that is done easily, in fact it's even harder to counterfeit than money. They can't just whip them up inside of their homes with their printer.

for one thing, (parts of) the government has no interest in printing their own money. their own ballots on the other hands.... any why forge anything when you can just use the same printer? china has shown us for years how that works.

this also assumes the DHS has vested interest in finding those ballot and in time.

I know this sounds rather paranoid, but with everything going on - who watches the watchers?

Forgot to check my mail yesterday, looks like I received some voter intimidation from someone in Chicago.

Addressed to me, begins with my name, the other side is a picture of my state, which is not Illinois...

I voted for bad orange man, should I fear the purge?
I work at a post office sorting center in CA, and saw several hundred of these things go through also. No idea who/what company sent them through. Many of them written in different hand writing so it was obviously a campaign of some kind. All of them were going out of state too, several different ones.

It hit me today that there was a reason why the Democrats were so screechy and angry about RBG kicking the bucket and why they were trying to delay ACB's confirmation.

I think keeping the seat open was indeed part of the plan not just to get Their Gurl (whoever it was going to be) in the seat, but to keep the Supreme Court from being able to rule on the election. They have to be fully aware that Trump was going to challenge the swing states once the numbers were coming in, and they wanted to do everything they could to keep him from legally challenging the election results à la 2000--by repeating 2000 in terms of the close-call election. (Okay.)

ACB was the eleventh hour.
They didn’t want ACB because they didn’t want a Trump appointment. While the election could be a thing for the courts, it’s ultimately a matter of the SCOTUS rarely actually having their eyes on them.
My fear is that the DHS will take a look and purposefully avoid finding anything, because the alphabet soup agencies have been vigorously anti-Trump.
True, but from what I’ve heard, the DHS could at least be described as the least bad of the swamp creatures and having the potential to put aside their Trump hate to get shit done.

And what you are describing is exactly why the left are just fascists now. Democracy exists so everyone can have their opinion and view....

I feel you hard. My state is a red state but my immediate family are all Biden supporters and only my father even seems to acknowledge that there might have been something fishy about this.

I know what you mean. Got family at my place, and all this drama is being described as “every vote needs to be counted and Trump is trying to stop that”.

Yeah, I don't know if I'm being a bit scatterbrained about it but I'm trying to impress on people that counterfeiting a ballot is not something that is done easily, in fact it's even harder to counterfeit than money. They can't just whip them up inside of their homes with their printer. Did no one think it was odd that the DHS always finds these things, and they do it so quickly that the ballots were probably discarded barely more than an hour or two ago? You never see stories where someone finds ballots weeks after the election or that have been sitting out so long that half of them are mush, they find them so quickly that the paper isn't even wrinkled, yet.

Every election they throw the switch and keep an eye on the markers. The Department of Homeland Security keeps track of the specific isotope used to mark the ballots, and if any of them start to move unexpectedly or wind up stagnating in an area they are not supposed to be, the DHS sweeps in and rounds them up. That's why you never hear about boxes being found in someone's attic for the 2018 midterms in 2020, or why no matter what obscure fucking place they try and hide the things, they're always tracked down so quickly that half the time they catch the person in the act.

That isotope changes every election and I'm willing to bet solid money that most people have no idea this technology even exists. If the resulting lawsuits from this produce even one fraudulent ballot that doesn't possess the marker, there's going to be trouble. The overall point I'm trying to make is that someone sitting at home and cackling while they mass-produce ballots from their 1998 Inkjet printer isn't something that can happen. Well, it is, but they'd spend a very, very considerable amount of time talking to the DHS from behind a wall made of iron bars.

It's some legitimate future shit and it's actually really fucking cool, I thought people might get a kick out of knowing about it.
What about electronic ballots? Using the DRE machines.

I have a person in my life with terminal tds. Even if I concede Biden, they refuse to believe the House might flip and send me to CNN for proof. 🤣
