There is a certain amount of corruption required to make the political system work. Hidden behind a friendly veneer. The problem is that Washington has allowed this corruption to grow and be more open rather than the quiet backroom deals it should be.
Yeah, we let stuff like "finders fees" or some palm greasing slide. They're illegal, but they're speeding "74 in a 65" illegal.

What we're seeing now is NOT that.

something something strange bedfellows
I can actually see the point of a lot of the more honest race grifters like Nasheed. He isn't entirely wrong, merely a bit misguided in where to place his righteous anger.

You could likely come to an agreement with him on how to address issues in the black community, come to a compromise. Because he's in it for his beliefs and principles and even if they clash with my own I can respect that.

Compare that to the Poz, who are in it for power and merely using those issues as vectors for hidden agendas. Their principles are malleable, because they will never say what they want up front.

Or, to put it another way, who would you trust me. A literal nazi who outright says he'd put you into an oven if he could, or a smiling liar who will do the same but wants you to believe he is your friend.

Hence why Kushner is trying to convince trump to concede, if he doesn't now he never will.
Good to keep in mind that they like to make up lies about Kushner as they despise him. Previously they said he had brought in Van Jones to advise Trump. They know they can make up crazy shit and launder it under 'anonymous sources' or 'people familiar with his thinking believe' and never be held account for their scams. Since it is CNN reporting from 'anonymous sources' there is no reason to believe it has any validity.

See how quickly it has gone from unconfirmed rumor from a wholly unreliable source to casual matter of fact. All it takes to reach that point is to broadcast the info, regardless of veracity, and see how quickly it gels.

“Losers and suckers,” anyone?

I'd be inclined to believe this one because it tracks with who Kushner is. Kushner is of the old "Lose with dignity" school of Republicans, and I can even probably summarize his arguments.

"Save your money and political clout for 2024, trust in the senate to keep the Poz at bay"

It wouldn't be -bad- advice, but it wouldn't be -good- advice.

Trump has nothing to lose at this point, so not escalating the fraud cases would be bad. He only has things to gain from it. If Trump conceded now, before anything is taken to court, I’d be very sad.

It is absolutely amazing the shit CNN gets away with, with anonymous sources, while conservatives need to have the Dave Chappelle - R Kelly level of proof just to not be called "conspiracy theorists" or liars.

This is going to be a long weekend.

So a friend told me that, because they declared Biden the winner, SCOTUS can possibly overturn this in court. I am unsure about the legality of this, but would that explain why Trump's allowed them to continue counting?
He's not officially President until the Electors all vote for him formally in December. President Elect simply means he'll have the Democrats assigned who will vote for him when that happens.

Unless Trump does have such major proof of Election Fraud that they do have to pause everything I think it's time to admit that Biden's won. Personally I think Trump is doing this fraud thing because he just can't admit to his fanbase (maybe to himself) that he lost.
Trump conceding ruins him and any potential future. He’s built a political career on fighting and being/lucking into a victory, and conceding now would make him no better than Fox News in his supporters eyes. I’d immediately lose support.

He has nothing to gain from conceding. These people will never accept anything he did as a plus, we will likely see the media claim he started COVID in the next few months, and he ruins any type of legacy his kids could carry for him.
And honestly why should he? The media and the left spent 3/4ths of his administration claiming the fucking Russians rigged the 2016 election. Which inherently was a far more outlandish and just stupid conspiracy then thinking assholes in Wisconsin are forging ballots

Its not defeatism, so much as reeling from a series of blows that people knew were coming but were unpleasant to take. Ironically, I'd say the mainstream media took the worst time to announce their crowning of Biden.

sometimes, you just wanna vent and let it all out where you think someone listens. same reason a suicide hotline works, just having an ear can have tremendous positive effect.
that's why I don't mind doomposting too much, just part of the process.

No, for creating anime.

I too am curious what they come up with after more nukes.

In the words of a wise man,

In 100 years all of us on this site will be dead,

1000 after that the US probably won’t exist,

And long, long after that everything you and those before you knew will be dust.

Live life in the moment, it doesn’t last forever, enjoy the ride.

You know what it kind of reminds me of?

There was a parent a while back that deleted their 9-year-old's entire Minecraft world because the 9-year-old couldn't stick to a sleep schedule.

Whether you agree with that punishment or not, the problem is now that you have nothing else to threaten the kid with. Why WOULDN'T the kid act up now? You can't ground him because (at the time and quite frankly still) he was already under Corona lockdown. There's nothing for the kid to lose anymore.

If you took the game away for a week and then gave it back with another threat to take it away again, then you have something. But you literally just erased a year of that kid's life; no shit the kid is going to lash out now?

Perhaps, but until then, this is something we still have to deal with.

"I had one person close to the White House tell me, 'No one is willing to tell King Lear the truth,'" said Hallie Jackson, MSNBC’s White House correspondent.

On Friday morning, with the election appearing to be heading in Joe Biden’s direction, CNN’s White House correspondent Kaitlan Collins said she too had been told that Mr Trump was unlikely to concede, and discussions were being held as to how to convince him to leave.

“I’m actually being told by sources that, in recent days, the president has said he has no plans to concede this election to Joe Biden, even if his path to victory is effectively blocked, which it could be by a Biden win in Pennsylvania or in somewhere like Georgia,” she said.

“But despite that the president has said that he has no plans to concede this election as he has continued to push this baseless claim that the election is being stolen from him."

“That creates this conversation about who is going to be the person that’s going to reckon with the president and tell him that his time in office could be coming to an end."

“That’s a conversation that I’m told the president’s allies are still having, they’re not sure who that person is going to be. They’ve talked about Jared Kushner, someone like an Ivanka Trump, but they haven’t figured out who it is to bring the president to terms with reality."
His daughter and son-in-law are not going to be treating him like a lunatic who has lost his mind who they need to force an intervention on. That is propaganda to feed the TDS base and to humiliate Trump. If you find this credible I hear that Elon Musk has some bitcoins he'd like to send you.
