It's still way easier for the Republicans to make moderate compromises to appeal to black and various hispanic voting blocs and not patronise the shit out of them. It'd result in a more balanced party.

I doubt Republicans will be opening their doors to blacks/latinos anymore after this defeat. A stand that trump tried extending the olive branch just for karens in PA vote for biden.

Trump tried olive branching to the suburban Karens too and they still likely voted for Biden because of "the noise."

Put a white liberal in front of a based black and you'll see them holding back the urge to call them a nigger.

Because these people never actually live among/near the minorities they profess to love oh so much.

These are the same sorts of people who, a century/century and a half ago would've paid their tuppeny bit or nickle to go and see the Human Zoo and simply stare at people from exotic lands.

They'll try sanitized and westernized versions of "their culture" and "their food" but rail at anyone who tries to mimic it at home.

Not necessarily, it's a habit break that a lot of safe electoral zones absolutely dread if you're the party thats held a spot since the year dot. Once you change, or make your vote more open to change you wind up with people more inclined to stop and listen to you or even vote for you.

The numbers gained through moderate, well tempered policy towards minority groups were well above those lost. And that ignores the fact that the never-trumper vote came out in force... which would have been overwhelmingly in the demographic Trump 'lost' people in.

I really like this thread! Compared to the other ones that are filled with doomposting, autistic gloating, and other dumb hysteria, we got Kiwis here giving a more realistic explanation of this shit show of an election. Reading these posts actually make me feel well-assured that a Biden presidency isn't so bleak after all.

"Looks like Trump won the Latino vote and Biden won the Latinx vote."

You mean Biden won the "Delusional" vote? I guess so...

For the record both here in Spain and at the other side of the pond, calling Latinos (or Latinas) "Latinx" will get you weird looks. Only a very small minority of crazy ass hardcore commies uses "x", and as I mentioned in the past, at least some years ago when there was a movement by feminists to use in writing a "neutral term" they used "@" (pronounced "at") which got less backlash mostly because it was fucking hilarious pronouncing words that way, but faded away for obvious reasons. So not only is the "x" hated by most people because it's an insult to our language, but it's even hated by those who would be ok with the "@", because it's just a bad copy of the "@" that can't be pronounced, doesn't actually seem like an A within an O, and looks like an eyesore.

Oh and also btw currently Spanish radical feminists are actually eating each other because there's a group that claims we need to make neutral terms (they use the "e" now, which at least has some grammatical sense... still sounds retarded and won't fly under my watch though) while the second wants even neutral terms to have A and O versions and the A and O to be used all the time, like "latinos and latinas", because they say if you don't do that you're "minusvalorating" women. So yeah... even the radicals by en large hate the fucking X just because it's a third contender to an already very stupid and heated fight. Seriously as some of you already know I was a commie when I was a teen and still know multiple contacts from back then that haven't gotten out of it, and even they hate it. Latinx is a fucking Anglican term, its linguistic colonialism.

So please if you're gonna push for bullshit changes to our language. At least use "@". That way people will hate you less because they'll get a chuckle, and laughing is always welcome.

But I don't there will be a Republican candidate that'll extend the olive branch like Trump. But it is ironic that poc voted for Trump and only karens, cucks or the Democratic plantation nergo voted for biden. But I do wonder how these factory workers feel when they are on the breadlines.

Mood right now

You're not getting it; Trump legit won. The votes for Biden came after the count was stopped and magically appeared at 4 AM.

As far as SCOTUS goes this is going to depend on the conservative justice's clerks to bring as many citations needed to swing the decision in Trump's favor as well as combing through Bush v Gore. The most crucial issue is the remedial one, that is, what is the remedy to the PA fiasco as well as the other states still counting.
I wonder if people will ask for Clarence Thomas to recuse himself based on his history with Biden? And of course they will want ACB off the case.
They can ask but on what basis? That Thomas is an angry black man or ACB is a Trump simp? Those aren't legitimate reasons.

You have to come in late. The copeminers meme during the day. The info usually rolls in at/during the night.

They wanted him to because word got around that he'll retire if Trump wins.

We'll bi watched the rekieta stream and watched trump dominate on election night, and the mail ins and fucked him over. But I agree that it's kinda suspect how all of the mail-in were only biden until it was Arizona where the first 2 batches were Trump and how they didn't even let trump have Alaska and North Carolina. (did most of the ballots had biden but house/senate/Mayor votes were republican or empty?) But seeing how two faced the gop is, like fox calling Arizona and how they are silent. Most of the suits got thrown out expect Pennsylvania.

The individual suits got thrown out, which was expected. There is a judicial process, you can't just go straight to the Supreme Court for most things, it has to lose first.

I'm not a Spainiard but I've been to Spain and know a little Spanish, same thing with France and French.

The only people who talk about the stupid removal of the feminine and masculine words are dumb liberal teachers I had in school.
It's always dumb white women who study the language, culture, travel to the country but still disrespect everything by trying to destroy a language. There are so many intrinsical and meticulous rules in Spanish, that I highly doubt the removal of feminine and masculine words will come to fruition.

What they do not understand is that the people who speak these languages as their native tongue never think of sex, and the removal of these vowels would destroy the sound of said language. Which is funny when they always talk about the destruction of culture, without realizing that they are in full support of it as long as "equality" is achieved.

"La puerta" and "la porte" have nothing to do with women, it's just how the languages work.

This thread has had its share of doomposting, but overall its definitely a step up. Personally, I get stressed out if I consume politics for too long, so I've been dipping in and out. I applaud anyone that can sit through doomposting without getting a headache.
